I think predicting reviews is a lot of fun. I don't necessarily bank on reviewers hard-focusing on small bad things. Especially with Pokemon. I think games like Pokemon get a pass for small issues actually. Originally I had this game pegged for a low 80s Metacritic but these leaks make me think it'll be 84-87. It's really just the vibe I get idk.

But I don't think that's a wide spread issue like you are suggesting. There is also the opposite where there are certain aspects of a game that the reviewers don't pay attention to but it helps the review score of the game. I see this in a lot of the annual games. Does that mean the review isn't valid? No. Those issues may bother me but not the reviewers and that's fine.
Love your username. It's cute

Hmm.. neat

Laven is from Galar. He uses "homeland" to refer to Galar in other places in the dex, and his theme song samples the Wedgehurst theme (which might be because he's connected to Hop/Leon, but it's also essentially the main theme for the region).

Roselia: Though beautiful, it has highly poisonous thorns. There is an old tradition in my homeland wherein one would send these thorns to an opponent to challenge them to a duel.

But that was always an option in Pokemon games (switch or set style)

Was that removed entirely?

I am pretty sure it's just removed and you can't toggle it anymore. At least that's what I saw in some gameplay videos.

Laventon being from Galar makes more sense than him being from an unrevealed region

On that note, I do think if we end up getting DLC, Galar makes the most sense for a focus region. It's the most recent set of games so it won't step on the toes of any potential future Legends projects, and there are currently zero Galar Pokemon in the game which is a bit suspicious considering this is technically a Gen 8 game.

They definitely seem to be setting up a DLC focused on Galar. Maybe they will base on when Japan first opened its ports for trading, and we will see ships from other regions arriving.

This is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Pokémon title for a long time for me.
Only graphically it still looks horrible at places but at least it seems like they improved the animation quality.

@Rika is it possible to add a poll on which starter everyone is choosing? I am curious to see the difference between this topic and the other one :)

Something I don't seem to find are the stats of all the new moves. I am very interested in some of the new moves :)

I honestly can't decide on a starter. All three final evolutions have grown on me. Do we know if there is a way to get all of the starters in the game?

Yeah, all three starters can be caught in game. However, I believe they're somewhat rare and can only be found in the mid-to-late game

I genuinely don't know what my 6 Pokemon will be. I'm inclined to go pure Hisuian variants but this game also gives me an opportunity to use Pokemon I never have but always wanted to like Mamoswine lol.

All those leaks did make me excited by now too. Im still not 100% sure i will wait for the reviews to drop. But still it seems to become much better than i thought.

I actually took a day off to play this game. Which I didn't expect for a Pokémon game

Is there a link that has a compilation for every leak?
Not really. There's fairly comprehensive stuff about the new moves, new Pokémon and forms, new status conditions, weather and field effects, etc. There's also details of the story. And there's also miscellaneous stuff like new QoL changes, features, or even just videos of stuff in-game. What do you want to see?

One thing bothers me.

Trainer looks way too short next to 2m long Goodra. Almost half of it. Are we having 1m long 10 year old trainers again? I don't like the way the proportions being inconsistent in Pokémon universe. Like Ash being half of 170cm Charizard (this makes Ash same height as my dog).

Is this particular Goodra 2m though? Sizes vary a lot for Pokemon in-game, and H-Goodra might be taller than normal Goodra

Height doesn't change much between Alolan/Galarian variants and regular ones so I assumed it's the same case with Goodra. After all, all it got a giant steel shell, nothing more (it does not look happy with being forced to carry that thing)

he meant that pokemon can have a lot of interspecies size variation, this particular one was an Alpha Goodra I think, or just a larger normal goodra

Does this game has that feature? Because in the mainline canon only few Pokémon get to have varying sizes, Gourgeist is one of them.

Just the new Pokémon and Hisuian Forms
In that case, yes! Here they are:
All new Pokémon and forms, with names and typing:

And here they are with stat details, along with lots of new info:
This doc has nearly everything, just tab over to moves:
Note that, because of the style system, they overhauled the BP and PP for moves in general, so that all sits with an asterisk. It's likely many of the new moves will be modified should they return.

I've seen some pretty decent size differences amongst the normal pokemon. Then there are the alpha Pokemon...

Dang Nabbit! My preorder code for 30 heavy balls arrived. I just need the game in my palms already

I hope I can evolve a Scyther to Scizor without waiting for the end game. I never have pokemons that require trading to evolve in my team, this game would be the perfect chance to use some

Here’s a very informative post by Hematite on Smogon that digs into the move data (categories, descriptions, flags) to clear up some confusion about how the new moves work, and makes inferences on how these moves are intended to be translated into future entries based on said data: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/pokemon-legends-arceus-leak-thread.3696414/page-39

Basculegion getting a Water-type Sucker Punch is a really fun idea, so I hope that’s on the money.

From my understanding, you can do it with an item and I'm hoping they're not endgame items

Game seems fun and I like the details I've read, but boy is it a mess visually. Very offputting in that regard.
