And what are the chances those hit the Switch at some point? Have to be pretty good, no?
According to the leaks from the ransomware against Capcom, depending on the sales of the Trilogy and Great Ace Attorney, they might be willing to port the other trilogy over. In addition, Ace Attorney 7 was mentioned breifly. Other than that, no other AA game was mentioned so I'm not too about AA Investigations since the second game never got localised, only the first.

Also Layton vs Ace Attorney making it over is mostly dependent on Level-5, as they published the original release in Japan.

Seeing as how Level-5 is porting the older Layton games to mobile at a snail's pace and that none of them have made it to Switch yet (despite Curious Village being leaked by a localization group at one point), I wouldn't hold my breath for that one.

I'll be spending two weeks at my parents place so time to pack. I'll bring the Switch but I'm dragging the PS4 along as well. Now to decide which games to bring that I know I won't play. I'm gonna start Nier Replicant and continue Pokemon Diamond. I think I'll also bring along Skyward Sword HD. I'm at the final boss. Beat the game on Wii so there hasn't been a big rush to beat it. I'll probably also bring Ys IX, FF 12, Mario 3D World, and Smash.

Sharing your library is actually very easy, just set up a secondary account on their Switch, done.

Thanks again. I set up the secondary Switch today for christmas and i am amazed, how easy it is to log into my account with my phone. Now i only need to wait until the games are downloaded.

consider:

Ace Attorney x Detective Conan x Lupin III

2021 was the best year i've ever had in terms of gaming, and this is mostly due to JRPGs. Xenoblade 1 and 2 were my favorites and now i can say that Xenoblade 3 is my most awaited game. I also had good experiences with older FF games (especially VII), BDII and Tales of Arise. Plus, i bought Octopath some days ago and i'm eager to dive into it once i wrap up Xeno 2 on the weekend. Great Ace Attorney, Forza and Skyward Sword were the best for me outside of the JRPG sphere.

Bravely Default 2 was a flop --> Actually sold really well and franchise is continuing
Disgaea 6 was a flop --> One of the best selling in the franchise

Shin Megami Tensei V is next on the "Wow, can't believe it flopped so bad on Switch" list.
And on top of that, Disgaea 6 is apparently one of the most dedicated fanbases on the Switch in terms of average playtime.

What a bad investment from Nintendo to get the western release exclusively! 🤭

I have the whole of december off so lots of time. It's cold outside and there's a lockdown, so nowhere to go. The perfect time to tackle my backlog, which is as big as a well-stocked game shop. Yet I only binge Gamecenter CX. Sent help.

Just wanted to pop in one last time before I hide for my Christmas holidays and say Merry Christmas and happy New Year to everyone! It's been a great year for gaming and I can't wait to see how next year turns out. I hope everyone has an excellent and safe holiday season!

Hot damn, a work of art

Okay, I just ordered a series s with Gamepass.. I need to save some money now and choose carefully which Switch games I'm going to buy next year.
I'm still holding out to the new year and scraping by with xcloud, but game pass has indeed been a life changer. Really all I'm missing out on non-nintendo is Spiderman PS4/5 lol.

Honestly next year is looking so stacked I don't think there's a single major Switch game I'm not interested in.

Only thing I might wait a bit on is to see if Pokemon Legends: Arceus is actually good or not, seeing as how I like Pokemon but am not like a fan or anything.

I tried Xcloud and despite having a decent internet it was a bit laggy and the Oled screen is so much superior to what my phone can deliver.

But I'm totally with you, I want a PS5 only for Spiderman and FFXVI lol. Gaming is tough for our wallets

Same for real. I am tempted by all the games announced, it's going to be a REALLY good year for Switch owners. I am already interested in Pokémon, Kirby, Bayonetta, BOTW2 and especially Splatoon 3 lol. I really hope they'll postpone future announcements because I certainly won't be able to keep up!

HI what up!!!!

I'm on xmas vacay so I don't look at my computer or phone much!!!! I miss anything neat in the past few days?

me: "damn I should spend more time on Famiboards... I feel like I've been letting the community down by not being on there as much"

also me: fourth highest post count in this thread

I’m surprise Atlus doesn’t have more of a presence on Xbox.

Well. I guess I get it. Xbox is so detach to Atlus audience that it’s probably gonna lose money in the end.

I did think Microsoft would’ve front the bill on a few things by now tho

I wouldn't be surprised if MS ponied up for Persona 6 on Gamepass day one and Atlus balked

Anybody here try Dungeon Encounters? Trying to plan out my inevitable eShop splurge for payday next week. Gonna stock up on things to get me through to Triangle Strategy.

ready for the Famitsu numbers tomorrow aka NSW Top 10*

*potentially Top 30

Unless it's one of those weeks when we have to wait until next year for numbers, i forget

The old site had a surprisingly lengthy OT. People who can get past the minimalist trappings really really liked it.

Revisited Mario Odyssey last night for the first time in a long time.
I feel like this one got overshadowed a bit by coming out in a year where BOTW was the big thing.

In everything from how it feels to control to its gameplay design it's just so tight, snappy, and elegant. The capture mechanic is an awesome way to add variety, and there's just so many golden moments, from fleeing a T Rex on a moped to the playing as Bowser himself in the finale.

It's also still one of the best looking games on Switch even 4+ years later, and at a sexy 60fps to boot.

Most of all though, it's just bursting at the seams with that imaginative magic that's unique to Nintendo and for me makes their best games so special.

A truly remarkable title, and exactly the kind of joyous escapism I so treasure from gaming.

I'm on my first playthrough of Galaxy (30 stars in) and it's truly wonderful, but so far I think Odyssey has it beat.
