Is this Fortnite?
Yes. Place is practically built for a battle bus, come on

The real ones know what this is all about.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

Ugh work was brutal, dealing with a blizzard is no joke. On the plus side have the next 3 days off, so time to game, watch anime, work on a kit and chill

donke confirmo'd

i don't know how to explain this, and maybe it's compounded by the heartbreak of my favorite deli running out of sandwiches the second I placed my delivery order and calling me back to cancel it...

but shark eyes are making me dizzy

thank you @Tangerine_Cookie, I'll always remember what you did here

but for now I'm saying goodnight Blรฅhaj

Understandable and more than fair!

I have been on that exact same situation!

Except they called back an hour later and everything was closed and we couldn't order anything else x_x

To be fair all squares are also rhombi. And also rectangles. Squares are good multitaskers.
all squares are but the inverse is not true, meaning i have failed you for the last time

god damn fucking shit narrowly missing the perfect sandwich window has me at my fucking limit

Okay Fami I have a flight to Florida (ugh) in a couple hours, what should I play on the plane?

Apollo Justice case 2 (in the middle of this one), start a new game of Aria of Sorrow, maybe Super Metroid or something on the SNES app?
Full Battletoads playthrough without getting hit.

More serious answer, Wilds Guns is a really fun game you can beat in a fairly short sitting. Bonus points if you have the snes controller. I love playing the switch with thay controller in tabletop mode. Snes stuff looks so clean and crisp on that screen.

it's not exactly the same or anything but this piece has what was for me 100% a dolphin shoals lick jumpscare at around 2:10

thrilled about the T-Square

panicking because I think Iโ€™ve forgotten how to post normal
Normalcy is overrated, especially around these parts. Can't believe I quoted Dragon Ball Evolution, of all things.....

If you wanna see last month's report, here ya go. I'm late to the party, but nonetheless, I wanna make a habit of reporting my progress with my New Year's Resolutions every first of the month. Ngl, February was kinda shitty for me in terms of any real progress, but I'm starting to get my groove back. I'm planning on locking in, this weekend. Welp, without a further ado:

1. Get a new job! I applied to 3 additional jobs that, unfortunately for me, take place in other cities and commuting there will take too long. There's gonna be a job fair by where I work in less than 2 weeks, so I should hopefully find some luck there.

2. Get a car! I failed the knowledge test 2 more times....... The second failure bummed me out for the rest of the day, but I made the most progress on my third try, getting 29 correct answers. This weekend I'm gonna finish reading the driving manual and taking the practice tests until I know I got it all down. My next appointment is next Wednesday.

3. Lose weight! This past month, I've missed days to work out, sometimes consecutively. I bought a digital scale to track my progress and it seems like my weight hasn't gone down all that much, aside from water retention. I weigh about 360 pounds. I think the crux of the problem lies in both the realities of weight loss and my diet. It's been a bit difficult for me to lay off the junk food, despite adding my healthier stuff into my diet. On the flip side, I finally managed to do 2 reps a day, today. I try to get up early to exercise, then do it again in the evening. My routine hasn't changed, but for now, I'll keep it that way. My plan for this month is to be more strict with my diet and to continue doing the 2 reps a day when I can.

4. Get a girlfriend! Same as last month, though I'm starting to wonder if I give my crush bad vibes. I have a bad habit of getting into my head, but it's something I keep thinking about. I get stuck trying to figure out how to approach her, even though I don't have this problem with my other coworkers. Perhaps that's the issue. I'm not as shy as used to be, so talking to her shouldn't be that big of a problem, as long as I'm not being creepy. I can do this! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜ค

5. Beat 5 games in the backlog! ..........I haven't touched my 2DS in over a month and I only put an hour into Persona 3 Reload.....๐Ÿซ  I was caught up in the hype of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, that I picked up the original again after putting in an hour on that a while ago. I'm about 15 hours in and I definitely see the hype. I'm loving the story so far and, while I'm still a little disoriented by the Active Time Battle system, it's kept me on my toes when I'm not cheating while grinding. My only real gripes are the overworld controls and Fort Condor, fuck that sidequest! I've only been playing it on the weekends, so I don't know when I'll finish it, but I'm enjoying my time with it, regardless.

6. Save enough money to move out! I've been putting aside loose change and singles for a rainy day; it's not a lot, but it's something. The cost of living and feeding a dog has been kicking my ass, but I'm making do.

7. Read more! ........... I'm not even halfway through the 2 books I was supposed to read this month. I am a fraud. I HAVE SHAMED HOUSE BOOKS, YET AGAIN!!!!!

Conclusion: Last month sucked for me, but this month, I'm locking in! Wish me luck!!

My daughter is really insistent on watching "Land Before Time 46" and while I think she'll be plenty disappointed about that one I can't help but also think that this kid is going to really love Final Fantasy one day.

Once again @Suswave you did a phenomenal job taking an ST to incredible heights ๐Ÿ’œ Thank you for all the work you put in!

A @Raccoon S T-Square thread is always a guaranteed fun time! Fantastic write up, and maybe now is when I finally make some threads I've been meaning to make in both Roost and Gaming side (at least one will be Springsteen related. I cannot help myself.)

Also, we talking Citypop and its influence on gaming?

For those who don't know, Tatsuro Yamashita came out with his seminal album For You in 1982 (which I recently acquired on vinyl imported from Japan with the OBI strip, and I figured you would also appreciate Racc ๐Ÿ’œ), and the album opener Sparkle was and still is a certified bop ๐Ÿ”ฅ In 1985, the Hawaiian band Greenwood did an English cover, and it was because of a local DJ that spun it at a club in 2009 in Honolulu that it has since had a massive resurgence. (Unfortunately their own debut album Lost in Paradise is not on Spotify and absolute hell trying to find a decent copy on vinyl at a reasonable price, but you can find the song on the compilation 'Aloha Got Soul')

Tatsuro Yamashita - Sparkle (1982)
Greenwood - Sparkle (1985)

Well, what makes this song so special? Not one, but two gaming influences. The biggest one goes back to Doubutsu no Mori in 2001, but has been featured in every game of Animal Crossing since when you make an invalid request to K.K. Slider. You can only hear this when he's playing on a Saturday night and you won't get a record to play in your music player, but the data exists for a reason and the similarity is undeniable. Kazumi Totaka is a man of taste ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Additionally, I only found out through sheer dumb luck, but the Paradise Killer features the song 'Paradise (Stay Forever)', and if you've listened above, you can hear the structure of the song from the intro, to the verse, to the bridge, to the chorus, the horn hits, the sax solo, but it doesn't make it any less of a banger.

Oooh! If we're talking City Pop, mind if I throw in a few of my favs?

From the aforementioned Yamashita-san: Ride on Time

Next is Stardust Pipeline from Junk Fujiyama (it played on ana episode of Space Dandy, if anyone remembers that anime).

I know this one is more of remix, but here's Selfish High Heels by YUNG BAE

Last, but not least, it's the late Miki Matsubara's Stay with me. (I can't believe I discovered this from a Persona meme)

@Raccoon ....... Holy Shit, dude, you have some immaculate taste! WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!?!?! I'M STILL LISTENING AS I TYPE THIS AND I FEEL LIKE I'M ON A RIDE!!!!!
