Discussion The Super Mario Bros. Movie will not get a Rotten Tomatoes score above 70%. Who will make an avatar bet about that?

It’s pretty clear that if you do not have familiarity with Mario however this movie isn’t for you.

It is very interesting to see how gamers and non-gamers have reacted to the movie. Reactions from critics who are fans of the Mario series or at least into video games seem more positive overall than reactions from critics who aren't into that as much. Guessing that's one major reason for the disparity.

Probably, i don't let scores to influence my choices, eventually i will see it, but other than sing i don't really like Illumination so im bias.

I'm biased too, I don't think I've liked a single Illumination movie lol. But I do love a Mario...

Yup, feeling solid about my choice here. Maybe wasn't expecting the score to be THIS low, but hopefully it rises.

Just remembered that I also lost the Avatar Bet with the Sonic Movie at the other place. Maybe I should accept that I‘m just not good at those things.

To be fair, I actually didn't get a notification even though I was tagged for some reason, I decided to check that thread and saw Frogs' post so I changed my ava after I saw the Super Mario 54 image. Frog isn't on my ignore, so maybe others weren't notified for some reason too.
