Discussion So who is the dev team behind Untitled Peach Game?

I actually think Tose is on the table

not for the Peach game though; for Super Mario RPG. They were the lead workhorse on two Square Enix games that released last year (if you're skeptical about the site's wording just look up the credits elsewhere):

With that and their past history with Nintendo, I think it makes more sense than other options being thrown around like NDcube.
It actually wouldn't surprise me if they were on both.

RPG, for the reasons you list, but also "Untitled Peach Game", because what people spy as touches from Intelligent Systems could easily be attributed to their experience working on the past two Paper Mario games.

It could be a thing where either a) they're co-operating with IntSys again or b) doing it on their own for Nintendo. Either one's a possibility, in my eyes, considering their wealth of experience.

Because there are circulation and talk of a TTYD remake and I would much rather have that instead.
Or, honestly, just anything Paper Mario, just to see where the series is now, 4 years post Origami King
If a remaster of TTYD is in the works, it might not even be anything more than what Pikmin 1 & 2 are getting, and it wouldn't be worked on by IS regardless.

One thing that fascinates me is: how did this come about? Is this an idea EPD had, but decided not to handle internally and farmed it out? Because then you'd ask who EPD thinks is the best fit for it, and I think it increases the chances it could be a project for NST (albeit one where the creative direction and scope is decided largely by EPD staff). Otherwise, the question is: which studio had the idea and convinced Nintendo to greenlight this?

Have any producers from Nintendo talked about a Peach game in recent years? I wondered if that might give us clues but don't remember seeing anything.

Which makes it all the more bizarre that their first game would be MP4.
I don't think it was ever the case. The way they work is that some parts of a game are made by them, but the leadership and the team that puts everything together is at Bamco proper (see Ace Combat). We only really talk about Bamco Singapore because that's where the resumes came from that lead is to MP4 at Bamco in the first place.

A Peach game probably been on their mind for a long time. The movie is probably what pushed them to properly start development on a game. Peach gotten a lot of new fans with the movie so having a game already in development was the right call

It definitely doesn't  feel like a Peach game has been discussed by Nintendo recently, if at all. I think that was a big reason why it felt so out of left field.

I share your fascination with this though - the circumstances with which this came about, and every how it was announced, is something I'm very interested in learning about.

Anyone else see the stage play elements and think of that supposed Singing game by Retro? They're busy with Prime 4 but like they worked on it (or something if it's false) for 4+ years, I feel it's possible as Prime 4 is winding down (hopefully) a B team is starting on this, the same project but now attached to the Mario brand to have a wider safety net. But realistically I'm guessing Intelligent Systems

That rumor never came from anyone credible

until a leaker with a credible record comes and tells me it happened i will always refuse to believe that shit is real, it doesnt fits with any other pitch retro was doing.

I have credible information that says not only is NST making the Peach game, it's built off of the skeleton of Project H.A.M.M.E.R.

Source:
My ass.

I really really hope that whoever is making this achieves all the visions of the developers and make a very good game that stands besides other Mario spin offs like Luigi's Mansion, Yoshi and Paper Mario, being a unique experience that has its twist and plays and looks great.

Hope it's well received and sells very well so Peach can have a series of her own.

That said, I'm very inclined to believe it might actually be Next Level Games. And that'd be great if so!!!

This was even more of a nothing rumor than SFGP. If they were just starting on this, it wouldn't be coming out next year either.

I think it’s Good-Feel, they’ve worked on Wario Land: Shake It, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Yoshi’s Woolly World & Yoshi’s Crafted World.

Unique B-tier platformers are their specialty and it’s been nearly 5 years since Crafted World so the timing feels right. I know they are working on that game shown in the Japanese Direct but they have shown that they can work on things in between their big releases in the past.

Fully agree. The Goemon like game was supposed to be developed at their new Osaka studio, which means the team that made Yoshi’s Crafted World has released a game in 4+ years. Definitely feels like Good Feel is the answer here.

Because they’ve had someone outside develop a Princess Peach game before
I know, but this is technically Nintendo’s “first” Peach game if we don’t count Super. It’d also release a year after the movie, which I presume is why we’re even getting a Peach game: they’re capitalizing on her character’s awareness

I think it could be internal or external with Nintendo possibly co-developing if it’s outside.

We can probably make more educated guesses once we know Mario RPG Remake's developer 👀
Can we? We have Good Feel, NST, Next Level Games and Intelligent Systems as the 4 speculated devs to be working on this. Do we think any of them would be working on the Mario RPG remake?

I think people have been throwing around IntSys for it at least, iirc.

Oh cool, I didn’t know they expanded to having a second team, that makes me believe it’s them even more.

I know a lot of people are saying Next Level Games or Intelligent Systems but I assume NLG is hard at work on a new Luigi’s Mansion and Intelligent Systems has to be stretched pretty thin between Fire Emblem, Paper Mario & WarioWare.

I think the idea if it is IntSys is that the Princess Peach game is the replacement for a proper Paper Mario game in 2024 since we will get the TTYD remake instead (which may be outsourced to another developer). In this scenario it would fit.

Another interesting question: Is this game crossgen? I mean we don't even have a title, much less a release date. And before it was confirmed to be a switch reIease through NoA twitter, people were speculating that it was a next-gen exclusive. I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be a crossgen release.

Besides this I usually when I get irritated in this game, I prefer to go here https://casinoplinko.com/fr/ to try the new game I discovered, it's called Casino Plinko, I find it very interesting and besides that on the website where I found the source to this game, I found the demo, which also attracted me quite a lot.
It seems this is so! And you're right, I've heard several discuss this.

It was a weird announcement; felt like something you'd see in a 3DS / Wii U era Direct; but I don't think the reason for the caginess has anything to do with future hardware. I imagine they just rushed out the announcements for this and LM2 HD to capitalise on the Mario movie's success. Given they've labeled it as a Switch game officially already too I don't think it's worth looking into.

Good Feel was my first thought too

Dang, good catch. The overall prop design still gives me the assumption of NLG but the new characters themselves are very reminiscent of Intelligent Systems like how you pointed out. This is gonna be driving me nuts!

Not that it adds much of anything to the conversation at this point, but these are all the details listed on their press site (besides the short description already posted elsewhere):

Title: Princess Peach game for Nintendo Switch
Platforms: Nintendo Switch
Release date: 2024

No developer listed (otherwise this thread wouldn't be here!), but that's standard for Nintendo unfortunately.
