what do you meanwhy uh
why did spiderman look so terrible right before the switch
Could just be stream stutters I get that often. Maybe PS5 has shader stutter now lmaoThere were definitely some hitches graphically from what I saw. I don't know if it was the reflections but there were some weird things happening. I thought maybe it was me but I'm seeing a lot of people talk about it lmao. Someone did say the 4k trailer is crisp but idk. I'll have to watch it myself to see.
Almost no first party exclusives, almost no real gameplay, and Spiderman 2 looks like a PS4 game at best.Wait most people think this was a bad show? Many good games presented in a good pacing. How?

lol poor use of the word switch, I meant switch between characterswhat do you mean
you mean like in....TOTK /sWingsuit, like in Far From Home.
No Ape Escape 4 = insta 0/10 imo (not joking)Almost no first party exclusives, almost no real gameplay, and Spiderman 2 looks like a PS4 game at best.
Probably just means we're getting another one of these sooner rather than another year and a half. This event didn't show us the "PS5 phase 2", which is kinda worrying.
I forgot about Sword of the Sea that looked super fun. Hoverboarding with momentum in a hilly desert? Sign me up! I loved Journey.Didn't do much for me. The games that caught my attention were all indies (Plucky Squire, Neva, Ultros, and maybe Sword of the Sea). I'll probably pick-up Spider-Man 2 at some point, but it definitely felt like a sequel sequel lol.
become a runner in bungie’s new sci-fi pvp extraction shooter. compete for survival, riches, and renown in a world of evolving, persistent zones, where any run can lead to greatness.
Nearly 60% on Era thought it was mediocre to bad. That’s just the takeaway from majority of people was that it was mediocre or worseWait most people think this was a bad show? Many good games presented in a good pacing. How?
pacing is subjective though. The way they went from one game to the next felt jarring at times, especially with MGS. Way too many GaaS games, and just nothing of substance really. Dragon's Dogma 2, Marathon, and Phantasy Blade were interesting. I personally wasn't sure if what we saw from the last one was all gameplay or a mix of gameplay and cg and Sony doesn't inspire confidence in that area haha.Wait most people think this was a bad show? Hey we got splatoon!Nintendo fans expect Nintendo games from Playstation showcase hehehe

I don't get it.Honestly, a lot of the trailers just blended together after a while. Felt some just ended at really weird moments.
It's a side effect of the killer no filler approach imo.
My box is better than your box poutsI don't get it.
The Plucky Squire (also coming to Switch), Dragons Dogma II, The Talos Principle 2, Sword of the Sea, Neva and that game from the Nights in the Woods makers all look super interesting. Even from a Nintendo perspective no?
Nah, the E3 2017 trailer for the first game was presented similarly, and it ended up being indicative of solely the particular mission shown, rather than what the game as a whole is.Spider-Man 2 sure looks impressive on a technical level biut boy does it look like QTE the game.
Your tired Oreki profile picture is so relevant right now you have no idea.Way too long with very few games I'm interested in.
Yeah I know, I just saw it.Nearly 60% on Era thought it was mediocre to bad. That’s just the takeaway from majority of people was that it was mediocre or worse
I don't really see it. Only thing that was disappointing to me was PSVR2, don't see the point of that when they have seemingly no games for that system. Otherwise there were so many little games that I thought that look interesting.pacing is subjective though. The way they went from one game to the next felt jarring at times, especially with MGS. Plus, uh, I don't think these games are exclusive to Ps5. I don't know about Phantasy Blade but Marathon is multiplatform and I don't see why Dragon's Dogma 2 wouldn't be either.
fuck what do you mean by "extraction shooter" please Bungie tell me you didn't turn Marathon into an extraction shooter PLEASE
I don't get it.

The last one was both gameplay and CGII was hoping Sony was going to give me a good reason to get a PS5 this year. Spider-man 2 is the only reason but I can just borrow my cousin's ps5 for that.

Oh my god, you recognized my profile picture!Your tired Oreki profile picture is so relevant right now you have no idea.
Just curious: did you play the first Spider-Man, and if so, what'd you think? Any plans to pick up the sequel?Almost no first party exclusives, almost no real gameplay, and Spiderman 2 looks like a PS4 game at best.
We'll get that season 2 on day.Oh my god, you recognized my profile picture!
I see. Yeah maybe there were different expectations in play. I don't even own a PS5, so I wasn't really looking forward to something. This show doesn't gave me any reason to buy one (except for maybe Final Fantasy or Spider-Man), but even like a perfect show wouldn't had done that, with PC and Switch I can play most of the games shown here anyway (even many PS5 exclusives at some point). Still it got me excited for the rest of the year and beyond. Like october looks really packed with games.Don't get me wrong, some of the games shown left an impression on me.
But the vast majority did not - and for an hour long show that was literally just game trailers, that's not a good thing.
GheheheheI enjoyed the first Spider-Man, this one should be good as well. Sequels reusing their predecessor's map seems like a winning formula these days.
I can't be satisfied with a PS event if that's the best they can offer.I don't get it.

I did, first on PS4 and then the remaster + Miles on PS5. I liked it, the story was great, but I didn't find the gameplay and exploring the world particulary exciting. Miles was just okay.Just curious: did you play the first Spider-Man, and if so, what'd you think? Any plans to pick up the sequel?
A combination of already announced, niche, and indy games. Interesting, sure, but not what people wanted from this presentation. The Plucky Squire (also coming to Switch), Dragons Dogma II, The Talos Principle 2, Sword of the Sea, Neva and that game from the Nights in the Woods makers all look super interesting. can't wait to explore sewers and fight rat armies in the New York DepthsI enjoyed the first Spider-Man, this one should be good as well. Sequels reusing their predecessor's map seems like a winning formula these days.
