All they need to do for the Silent Hill 2 remake is show streamers playing it and getting spooked in the most unnatural ways, a tagline that says something like "You will shit your pants" and preferably Pyramid Head to be replaced by an animatronic armadillo and baby you got a stew going.

JRPG franchise with more sales than FF = not JRPG ;)

This is so weirdly specific that I feel like it has to reference something, and I am now terribly curious.

Not niche = Xenoblade 2 sales + 1 , right now a game needs to sell 2170001 copies to be considered not niche
Please, those sales aren't even enough to be considered niche

Since Animal Crossing is a niche franchise, you probably need to sell more than the most recent Animal Crossing to be considered not niche. So something like 38.64M sales should be enough

Look, we don't have to overcomplicate things by looking at hard data and context (which, by the way, is just another form of making excuses), when what it all boils down to is so outrageously simple.

Do I, specifically, care for this particular game/series?
  • Y — not niche
  • N — niche as fuck

As a big fan of JRPGs that spends a lot of time in those communities, there is a third option.
  • J - Actually, it's really big in Japan. Huge. Everyone plays it. You uncultured Americans just don't get it.
Which is not the case far more often than it is, but every niche JRPG fandom has fans that will argue this.

Well this OST is certainly going to make it into my rotation. Heroes with a hint of Octopath’s instrumentation? 🤤

Fine take my money you jerks.

Is this the case nowadays? I dont remember this argument being used in the last 4-5 years outside of DQ.Only case I can think off are Trails/Yakuza fans trying to make it look like their franchises are huge in Asia/Japan

MRIs fucking suck. Anytime someone tells you can't move anymore is when you start having neck cramps, face itches, and needing to go pee.

Well darn it didn’t realize that switch price drop was temporary or else I would’ve acted then. My switch’s fan seems to be going out, the OLED is tough to find, and who knows when a new revision is going

And like clockwork, as soon as I get my used copy of 13 sentinels from Amazon, the new copies drop to $40. Not too mad since I only paid a couple bucks more, but just funny how this works. At least I got to redeem the gold coins still since that apparently wasn’t done.

It's official. My playtime with Three Houses has now surpassed Breath of the Wild. If I continue on this playthrough, it will easily pass Xenoblade 2 as my most played Switch game.
Monster Hunter Rise overtook Three Houses, after Three Houses overtook Breath of the Wild; then I did fourth campaign on Three Houses and it went back to number 1. Sunbreak may well give the crown back to Rise.

Still haven't figured out if my copy is safely in the attic of my parent's house, or if I foolishly packed it with the belongings the courier has possibly/probably lost.

Rise is I think my number 2 most played game, and Sunbreak is absolutely gonna cement it in place as my number 2.

My number 1, Animal Crossing New Horizons, will forever be untouched.

Anybody else really wish that we got a HD remaster of Bonsai Barber on Switch? My husband's favourite game of all time, nothing compares apparently LOL
Holy shit, yes!! I never see anyone else talk about this game, but it’s so good!! I miss it so much, and it absolutely sucks that it can’t be officially obtained anymore. Really wish it would come to Switch, even if a gyro pointer may not be as ideal for the game as the IR pointer was on Wii.

So I can get 13 Sentinels on Switch for $39.99. Should I wait to see if I can get it cheaper later or bite? I'm not sure when I'd have time to play it so I'm leaning more on waiting currently but my impulse to buy it now is strong.

Animal Cruis'n
You know, this could be a good idea for the next game. You run a luxury cruise ship, have villagers that buy staterooms as well as rent them for trips, island hop to different locales, upgrade different shops/restaurants, add a casino (sorry Europe, you won’t get this game), etc.

If you want a physical copy, you might not want to wait too long. I don't know how limited 13 Sentinels' run is, but from my experience this kind of release is unlikely to get a second print run.

ACNH is my most played game too, with 195 hours. Then comes BOTW with 135h, Great Ace Attorney with 85h, Skyward Sword with 75h, and then Xenoblade 2 and 1, followed by FE3H. The thing is, i've only played Three Houses once, while i double dipped on GAA2 and triple dipped on SSHD. I've been thinking about starting a Golden Deer playthrough though. It's crazy the amount of content Three Houses has

I'm working on a Golden Deer playthrough before Three Hopes comes out. I finished Black Eagles and Blue Lions. Last time I played the game was back in early 2020 so it feels great to be back again.

This is literally the first time I heard of this game and I am intrigued.
It’s heavily inspired by the Heroes of Might & Magic series, specifically the 3rd game in the series. Totally underrated hybrid of turn-based strategy, tactical combat, and some light RPG mechanics.

Famiboards is part of the Mario sports subseries and follows the same format: release content deprived and finish it later.
Can't believe belly has had us working shitposting day and night for more than 8 months at this point.

But it's never enough, is it. Smh.

Hold, I'm just shy of 100%ing Forgotten Land and... someone just told me Kirby has a bullet time move? WTF, is this explained anywhere? I discovered his dodge by accident playing with the controls, it seemed too short to be useful so I ... never touched it? Was I supposed to discover this entirely on me own? Or was there a tutorial I missed?

It was mentioned in one of the news feed updates about a week after launch 😂

We should go post to win. Post a bunch. Win absolutely nothing, because the experience is everything you need, you greedy bastard.

NTSC White New 3DS, charge light works but doesn't turn on

I might not be able to fix it but I'll have fun trying!
hot damn, that's a good model

Maybe the battery is dead? That'd be the first thing I'd try. The system needs a working battery in it for it to boot, even if it's plugged in.
