Holy guacamole is this game fun. I can’t believe they translated the RL experience to mobile as well as they have. It’s seriously impressive

It sometimes feels really pointless to criticize Nintendo on anything, especially when it's come to their online services. After all the backlash, we get only one N64 game per two months with no Genesis, SNES, or NES title to go along with it. This is just awful. Let's hope the emulation is good for PM64 and the released N64 titles get improvements with this update.

This being separate from the NSO nes/Snes update I get since they’re different tiers. Now genesis I could also see depending on the size so wait and see. Curious how the release date is the day of/following the TGA depending on your time zone tho, and the earliest it’s been in 3 years

I'm glad that i'll get to play the first Paper Mario, but obviously this drip-feed (one game per month, geez) is disappointing, it's even worse than i thought it would be. Not even a new Genesis game.

I only played Sticker Star and The Origami King, so it will be my first time experiencing the original formula. I'm kinda excited tbh.

Feels pretty horrible when your kid outright says they respect their mom but they don't respect you.

Kids can be super cruel.

I mean the update is the day of/following the TGA depending on your time zone, and the first time in 3 years we’ve gotten an NSO update in the first half of the month

Late to the FF12 discussion but I got stuck on the demon wall and haven’t gone back in 2 years :/

I’m scared to go back because it’d be a lot to remember about the battle system, but don’t wanna restart because I don’t wanna waste 8 hours I had already 😭😭😭

Can’t remember if there’s an easy mode, maybe I’ll switch that on to break past the boss

Yeah had the same train of thought. Also this is the NSO expansion pack update and labeled as so, a NSO Snes/nes update isn’t off the table wither

To be fair, this one game on NSO is a better update than some of the ones from last year that had 3-4 games no one cared about.
 
I’m excited to play Paper Mario without the Wii U’s weird dark filter, but I have no idea when I’m gonna be able to get around to actually playing it. I’ve got way too many games and not near enough time.

The difference is that one of those things was actually done but shelved because PlayStation and Saturn were eating their lunch and a 15 fps 3D rail shooter would’ve been laughed off the E3 or CES show floor by the press at the time.

The other one was stuck in development hell in keeping with series tradition before being abandoned

There's something kind of funny about that Paper Mario trailer focusing on the paper aspect with the puns when the game itself does next to nothing to acknowledge it.

There were some hints of it in TTYD, but it wasn't really until Super Paper Mario that the series actually became self-aware of its paper look.

Wait, there’s still people who believe the BS that the NSO emulator isn’t customized for each game because it isn’t individually wrapped anymore? Don’t they know that config files are for that purpose and a lot easy to fix and adjust?

Well you got me then 😆

I’m like all for unreleased stuff like Star Fox 2, Mother Beginnings, Fire Emblem, and Sky Skipper. But I think I get prickly over things that were never completed probably because that would break the illusion of what could’ve been.

Like I really don’t need to see a Mother 3 N64 build that was at best 30% done or something and you can see all the warts and flaws. Or at least I wouldn’t pay for it?

It just feels very monkey paw I guess is what I’m trying to say. And I’m overthinking something that was meant in jest.
