The worst/best part of this direct is that in some ways we're probably going to have closure on some rumors that have been swirling for at least 1-2 years at this point. So while some of this direct I'm sure we already know the broad strokes of and some of the details, we're also about to really hit some uncharted territory if they're clearing the decks again.

Anyways, I just want to congratulate this community on being awesome and keeping people informed while not giving way to complete BS. So thanks everyone for being great and here's to (hopefully) another great Direct and rest of the year!

The funny thing is, of all the rumored things, one of them is basically enough to disprove that opinion.

Imagine if all rumored things end up true? New 2D Mario, Metroid Prime 4, a remake of Mario RPG and/or Chrono Trigger.

Ha, thank you! I am a longtime lurker who accidentally fat-fingered an unintended post in this thread. Good to know there are fellow TS fans here! Hopefully we get some news soon, but the recent Embracer Group news has me a bit worried.

Are they the source for how "remake of SNES classic" ended up sparking discussion of SMRPG/CT instead of Fire Emblem 4 (which had been rumored for at least a year and was part of the Engage info dump)?
 
Sometimes I remember that i'm getting excited for a video that will just show me more games to add to the ever growing Switch backlog....... ahhh a few more won't hurt right!

I think the leaker posted an img of the big fat Yoshi from SMRPG?

As for me, it's "educated" guessing. While FE 4 has been rumored for longer, IS just released Engage including the DLC, so they might not want to simply drop the remake in the same year.
This for example, would be a good Jan/Feb 2024 game.

I sometimes think I'm more excited about the games dropping through my letterbox than I am playing them. Bloody love that feeling.
