I thought it was established that the whole FY 2023 thing for Prime 4 was just a prediction. It's a reasonable prediction, which is why so many people have agreed with it. Even if I had inside info, I would be hesitant to guarantee anything related to Metroid. It just seems way too easy to be burned.

Anyways, let's say both 2D Mario and the SNES remake are announced this week. Those could be the opening and middle announcements, which would still leave room for Prime 4 as the closer! I highly doubt there are going to be any leaks about Prime 4 before the official announcement. The lack of inside information on this game doesn't mean it's really far from releasing.

He said the other day it would come down to whether or not they're confident they can hit a specific release date because they're not gonna show it until they are.

No, because you could disable those. It just isn’t tuned as well. Weird little things bothered me, like pitchers not lasting more than 2-3 innings, home runs being a little too attainable, Wii Remote being a bad controller for the game, etc.

Honestly kinda weird to have a Direct coming up without the "they might show Zelda here" in my brain. Even though they might show DLC, its just not the same. There's nothing like the build up to a Zelda game.

I am generally pretty excited for this one though. Give me something Starfox!
 
Reading Pyoro's hint it's all obvious to me. The new 2D Mario is a full-on reboot titled:

The Wonderful Super Mario Bros.

It's the below image and whatever info was in the news post. It might have gone live early, since this key art wasn't posted by the official Twitter yet. However, the title of the DLC and the Rabbid on the right were already shown weeks ago. The marketing cycle has been on track for a full reveal happening soon, so Direct or not, this news should be coming.

No Zelda and no Smash. Truly unprecedented times. All we have left is Mario.
 
I could use a Direct with what's been happening in my personal life and would love to see a SMRPG remake. I hope it stays close to the original artstyle

They liked tweets mentionning SMRPG, and PapaGeno said last week he received infos from someone he doesn't know telling him SMRPG remake is getting announced at this direct probably.

Is there any info in the post about when it's releasing, changes to gameplay, etc.? I unfortunately don't have access to my Switch currently. If it's not easy to summarize what's there or take/post screenshots, don't worry about it.
 
If the SMRPG remake rumor is real it will be the 2nd best thing for me, the 1st being a true sequel, but going the remake route makes sense given the game's age, and it saves on cost and risk of coming up with something new.

I hope Square-Enix is involved as I want the SE co-owned characters like Geno & Mallow to make it. But i assume SE has to be involved if it's going to be a remake or otherwise, the game would be very different.

It’s not in my Switch news app. I subscribe to both the Kingdom Battle and Sparks of Hope channels. Maybe it’s regional? I’m in the North America. Or maybe it got pushed to your Switch before it was deleted at the source?

Super mario RPG changed my life. It literally is one of the reasons why once I became an investor I chose both Nintendo and Square (At the time before Square Enix) to dump side money into.

If this supposed "remake" happens, I might...I...dont know what Id do.

No release date or changes to gameplay that I'm noticing, but I haven't played the game myself.

Several insiders have hinted at a direct this week (Nate, Necro, Brazil, etc). Nobody has said what kind of direct it is, though some speculated it was some kind of mini or partner showcase based upon what they knew would be there (Brazil)

Pyoro, a leaker who's tweeted very little but had incredible accuracy over the past year, tweeted a 2D Mario game (not New) and SNES Rpg classic remake will be announced soon. Based upon Pyoro's posting of beeg yoshi from Super Mario RPG, liking tweets asking about Super Mario RPG, and someone on era citing their own source, the remake is Super Mario RPG.

Nintendo accidentally pushed a news article for the next Mario + Rabbids dlc, which will include rabbid king bomb omb.

A leaker known for being accurate with Atlus stuff, tweeted a hint that heavily implies Shin Megami Tensei 5 complete is happening, and is probably multiplatform.

All the above are more or less hard confirmed

Separately Zippo (a leaker of extremely questionable validity) said a Chrono Trigger remake was in the works. As this has not been verified by anyone else I would not out stock in it being real in general, or if real, not being shown this week.

Wow, thank you! I feel this post shares pretty much everything you'd expect from an overview trailer, just minus the release date. I'm honestly surprised the date isn't there. I bet we're getting a trailer this week and wouldn't rule out a release this week as well. Thanks again!

Hopefully it keeps the very round aesthetic of the game.
No HD-2D, SMRPG was always supposed to look like a 3D game.
Would be cool if it was looking like the classic N64 Mario renders. They also went with a very round character designs.

Yeah the Mario + Rabbids leak officially sold me on this week. I was in the "Hopefully, but maybe not" camp before.
 
Not expecting everything rumoured to turn up but compare this to last June and it’s night and day. It HAS to be a meaty general.
