I mean it's probably next week since that's Lukas' prediction and he's always right, but I really wish it was tomorrow/Thursday because that would be closer to today.

Now that I think about it... It still got a shot at being announced tomorrow for Thursday, since they've done quite a few Thursday Directs on the Switch era(while Wednesday is more prominent).

Anyways, I've been waiting 6 years to see Metroid Prime 4, I can wait another week.

What Nintendo fans don’t understand is that the Flower Sun and Rain remaster that’ll definitely be announced soon is 100x better than anything announced in a future Direct
 
No direct is happening this week with the way Nate is doing his episodes nonchalant. He’s dropping his Xbox video tomorrow. Of course he could do 2 videos in a row, but it’s not feeling like it
 
I think we're gonna get just a single game announcement for September at this point alongside updates for Pikmin, random drops for Mario Kart DLC and Splatoon DLC, and maybe Pokemon presents for the DLC and possible Pokemon game announcements for the rest of the year.

My persona pie in the sky hope is that it would be a Xenoblade Musou. After Future Redeemeed I'd like a more fanservice focused Xenoblade game after XC3 was incredibly reserved on that.

So Persona 3 Reload is as of now deconfirmed for Switch; as the officially released trailer now mentions every platform but Switch. I assume Tactica isn't a big enough of an announcement to put in a Direct, but Persona 3 Reload could certainly be a Direct announcement.

That is the hopium right now, Nintendo wants to announce P3R in a direct but doesn't care to announce P5T in one.

It’s an Unreal Engine game, same engine as SMT V, which ran genuinely terribly on the Switch. My guess is they’re just waiting for more powerful hardware.

SMT5 runs perfectly fine. Framedrops it has nothing compared to other big games. UE is the better engine on Switch compared to Unity and other engines.

I don’t know if I’d say “perfectly fine.” Like it was playable, but it chugged a LOT.

this isn't a viable comparison when production Unity is so customized

and in any case UE4 has some pretty noticeable problems on Switch, notably related to its asset loading, that often manifest as framerate slowdown

I see the multiplat trailer for P5T, but not P3R? You got a link to that one? Can’t find it on their twitter or YouTube.
 
Could easily see Persona 3R being saved for a direct or being a late port. Personally hard to be enthused about it regardless given we have P3P on the system. Think it’d hit Switch 2 at worst with the seemingly inevitable definitive edition that includes The Answer and/or the Female Protagonist.
 
Sorry, I've been out of the loop for a bit - are there any credible sources pointing to next week or are we just running on hope haha

Could be a Direct reveal, could be a late port like every other Atlus Switch game. But I think Switch 2 title is the weakest option here. The game is not a looker and there's no reason for Atlus to ignore 130m userbase. If they do, they'll ignore Switch 2 too.

Tactica will not be at the Direct but I totally expect Atlus to show something there. VanillaWare game, Soul Hackers 2 or P3 Reload. Currently P3 is the likeliest.
