I just want to see a single trailer of Metroid Prime 4 before December, because I can't deal with a 7th consecutive year of "maybe we'll see Metroid at The Game Awards."

For real, i cant actually believe mp4 is a 2023 game. I feel it would have already been shown by now, and retro shows no signs of stopping their hiring spree, also havent heard of a contractors exodus that happen once a project is over.

My guess is Switch first will get Soul Hackers 2 port. P3R will be PS5/XSX for a while before receiving a Switch port, possibly in 2024, before the successor launches.

The big Atlus game for Switch I think will be that VanillaWare's "biggest project ever". Should be at the Direct closest to us.
Seriously? Not even PS4/XBO versions btw? I thought they'd do cross gen onwards and Switch receiving P3-5 day and date with Xbox/PS5 made me hopeful the same would happen here.

But Atlus is always one of the best third party to predict because whatever we predict based on logic ends up not happening lol. And while they are the ones that make the dumbest decisions like SH2 on everything but Switch, when they go Nintendo, they really go Nintendo. And by that I mean big AAA games like SMT V being exclusive.

I think SMT V-2/V: Apocalypse, or maybe even 6, is a very good cross gen possibility. Don't think they'd waste all of those hundreds of demon models they made. SMT V was definitely a big budget effort and I think they can build another game using it as foundation.

That Vanilla Ware game I'm not really aware of. Do we have any indication it's Switch-bound?(I mean to me it's very likely since everything by them is on Switch by now). That other Atlus project they always talk about to investors, with a codename that sounds like new IP I don't recall the name I wouldn't be surprised if comes to Switch too.

Anyways I'm super hyped for whatever Atlus thing we get on the Direct. Etrian Odyssey collection was neat and very unexpected.
Repeat with me: there is no MP4 in 2023 there is no MP4 in 2023
I think that even if it ends up being holiday 2024 it's fairly likely we see it this year.

Ye ofc, i meant that the game is not releasing in 2023

See the difference between you and me is that I think there's a pretty high chance the next Direct will be the next gen presentation. Would explain why Nintendo's been acting so weird lately.
and risk the holiday sales of Switch, no way Nintendo will anounce they next hardware this year, Nintendo Switch sucessor will be anounced next year for a holiday/early 2025 release

I do wonder if they do port it, would it be internal or the team that did the xbox port which was not great lol. At the very least it could join TMS (a better game) in not selling great after a re-release lol.

Just putting it out there, this starts in 15 minutes. The rule here is not to tag insiders or people in the know and ask them about stuff, but this is our legal opportunity to ask Jeff if he's perhaps heard anything regarding a Direct.

I don't think anyone should look too deeply into this game. It's trash. They finally sending it out to die. We smile and wave lol

Guys don’t make much of 1 2 switch. I’m just mad we got this before tomodachi life

Nintendo has dropped big game announcements 3PM/4PM my time usually, if they were on Twitter.
It's currently 3 AM in my time.
This does not indicate anything about a Direct whatsoever. They're charging 30 dollars, digital only, they have 0 faith in this game and are sending it out to die.

Also physical.

I am both worried at the prospect that Nintendo felt the need to release this game to fill in their lineup but also curious at the fact that they've intentionally dodged yet another game in the H2 timeframe. Even Pikmin 4 barely comes out in H2. They're just getting rid of everything in H1 2023

Why do you believe Direct will happen specifically on the week of the 23rd? Couldn't it happen the week of E3? And Direct don't happen on Tuesdays?
It can be Wednesday and Thursday too. 2 more weeks is still the week of 15th. I said recently that 22/23 is the last possible daze, for couple of reasons.

Imagine announcing a first-party title at 9 PM EST on a random Thursday night on twitter without even a trailer.

Persona 3 R is going to be announced in the very near future.
Like, I don’t doubt it, it’s been corroborated by enough people with actual track records (yourself included) but someone still can’t use it as a clout builder until it actually is, lol.

Everybody's 1-2 Switch changes absolutely nothing for June Direct for me, it would not get announced either way there, and it in fact does not solve nothing after Pikmin problem.

You all need to understand that LABO, Ring Fit, Game Builder Garage, Brain Training were all Twitter Drops, as was expected with most EPD4 games, so I don't really get the doom posting with "No Directs, Twitter drops only" comments. We are getting a June Direct, chill.

I swear I'm not going to buy another pair of joy-cons. I can't do it. I have 5, I don't need more.

But I need the pastel yellow and pink.

Are you thinking early 2024 then, or later? I just don't think it would make sense to release MPR and not have this out within a year of that. I agree with Nate when he said he believes MP4 hit a significant development milestone to make them decide to finally release MPR.
