Maybe it will be 12 minutes and they're rounding down.

Every minute counts here folks.

Wow, this is comprehensive, thanks for making this. It seems like there is a tendency to go over the rough/approximate integer that's stated, but not by much. I think the best we can hope for is ~12 minutes judging from this.

Yeah, it depends. If he is showing amiibo/OLED/Pro Controller at the end it will definitely go past 10 minute mark. Very curious about the flow and feel of such a presentation, if he will be going longer without cuts or it's a shorter type when they skip some things.

I mean gameplay specifically, were probably looking at 12 minutes at best. I think they'll show something else here, the OLED makes the most sense, I mean we both thought that was coming tomorrow or wednesday for a while.

They will analyze how much people like this format or how much views it had and everything, wouldn't be surprised if we get one more of this, longer, mid April with another trailer. They will not do Direct for this game and this is a great way to explain some deeper mechanics in the game.

So many theories what will be in it but I haven't seen anybody mentioning title screen, it's time.

BOTW title screen was revealed as early as Switch event and that was around 7 weeks before release. We are 6 weeks before release now. Can see Aonuma showing it of and describing why they chosen this etc.

If they show the title screen and Aonuma spends too much time on the title screen it will feel like that Pikmin Bloom Direct segment all over again

And am here for it.

I think they showed BOTW title scren first at Switch Event Treehouse in January 2017 and nor Aonuma/Miyamoto had any comments.

With Developers not wanting to show anything this seems like a compromise between the Devs and Marketing. Since the Devs thought too much info went out for BOTW with the playable Demo and Tree house, I am guessing the Marketing Department had to settle for what ever they could squeeze out of the Development Team, and they were like "10 minutes, take it or leave it." This way Aonuma can control precisely what is shown. The survey that went out awhile back on what players would like to see more of, kind of makes more sense now as the Marketing Dept would have to make some choices on what they want Aonuma to talk about in a short 10 minute presentation.

You are Aonuma, working almost exact a year on new hair and then instead of making people waiting for a gameplay drop they just put his face onto the announcement.

Someone said it before here and I have watched the clip now. A big spanish streamer have said Nintendo invited him to play the game one month before the realase. It will be in Germany.

I'd think so too but it's hard to say. Aonuma could just show the intro area, which could be below Hyrule Castle.
That would be a weird showing imo. It's a spoilery moment and probably not representative of the overall gameplay

Previews one month before release does make sense. Probably with a second wave two weeks before

You're right, but there's no way they can scratch the surface of this game with 10 minutes of gameplay.

Maybe, 3 minutes on a sky island and then we drop down to the great plateau. We see some new abilities and overworld changes on the plateau for the remainder of the gameplay.

Could you provide a link to the clip? I think I'm not the only one who wants to check the clip with their own eyes :p

We're exploring not only the lands of Hyrule, but the skies above, so it'll take place mostly in the sky, imo. That's the hook of this game after all. Maybe a skydiving section to demonstrate air-to-ground travel

They won't be able to scratch the surface of the game for sure, but they will show enough of it for it to stand out imo. Which a tutorial section might be hard to do with, since it'll naturally have some overlap with BoTW that they might not want to focus on

This is very likely. In an interview with Famitsu, Mr Aonuma did comment on how hard it was for him as a producer to give the PR team PR materials even though BoTW has lots of contents and stuff, this is why I'm not surprised or bothered at all with NIntendo being all secret about ToTK, it has always been what they wanted to do.

Marketers: "Well Anouma-san, your team did so well with BoTW that we'll let you have some more control over the marketing this time around"
Marketers, 4 years later: "We may have made a mistake here"

Could totally see them announcing the OLED, BUT ALSO, a Totk Direct. I don't think this is gonna reveal everything they want to say before launch, this is probably just a little taster for people who want to see more, but not that much more, with them announcing a Direct for people who REALLY wanna see some stuff coming in two weeks (about a month before launch)

Take this with a grain of salt, but apparently a GameStop employee on the ToTK subreddit posted a photo of a new Switch SKU hardware that appeared earlier today, if this is real, it’s definitely the Zelda OLED.

Nah, I think this is our "Direct". Otherwise the would have done the Direct instead of this.

Ah, no, the way he said it felt more like he was not sure what to show, rather than he wasn't willing to show anything.

If it's true that press will be getting invited into a preview event later next month, it makes me wonder whether any of the major print publications (Edge or Game Informer) will get a cover story on the game beforehand.

We are probably around 3-4 weeks away from media outlets getting their previews ready. Not much of a need to have a 30 minute direct for one game when you can get the press to do most of the heavy lifting in a few weeks.

Play the 10 minute gameplay segment on your switch and use your controller as if you were the one playing the game and it'll feel like you're playing a demo.

The video will be as long as it needs to be. It was always going to be as long as it is and it will always be until the end of time, the length that it is. Do not fret over the minutes, make peace with the duration. Amen.

And I thought that we would finally stop with this Zelda Direct nonsense. But no, here we go again.
