News Nintendo Direct announced for February 8th

I was thinking the same thing, but when was the last time that Nintendo headlined their Nintendo Direct announcements?

I think they just don't do it anymore.
Yeah it’s possible they don’t care to headline it in tweets anymore. Still I would’ve thought they would’ve done it for TOTK if it had a significant presence in the direct.

I gotta speak my truth. I'm so excited for this direct. After years of watching directs and waiting out games like Splatoon, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem and the numerous mario spin-offs...finally - Zelda. The fact that Silksong or Metroid might be there as well...is too hype.

The moral of the story is, always trust Nate with Direct dates. I can't directly quote from the locked thread anymore, but Friday evening I posted:

"Best timeline is Nate's Nintendo predictions over the weekend, Direct announcement Tuesday morning @ 9am ET for Wednesday evening, and Nate's specific Direct predictions dropping simultaneously. Let it be so!"

Nate yeah'd! that post a bit later, before his Saturday 2023 Nintendo predictions dropped. My man has NEVER missed with Direct timing (be it a Partner, Mini, or General) and I'm taking the clues every time over any other "evidence" moving forward lol.

The 2nd best part of today is that his predictions will go up at some point too!

What I expect to show up:
Return to Dreamland Deluxe
with Magalor’s Epilogue either being shown in some fashion.
Bayo. Origins
BotW 2

What I Wish to show up:
New Mario, either a 2D or 3D entry
Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC shadowdrop or release date
A Castlevania Collection of some kind.
Metriod Prime 4
Final Fantasy Pixel Collection release date or shadow drop

Dang, was hoping for a morning direct so I could watch it before work (have second shift that day). Guess I'll go news-blackout until Thursday morning.

I haven't been following any Direct hype but now I'm excited for something unexpected to be announced!

After the current tent pole release and around earnings time. Rarely fails.

So happy this is at 5 PM eastern. Will enjoy watching this (mostly) blind after work and dinner.

Another direct timing where Nate was right again. Like why would I listen to what I think should happen? When Nate bats a thousand I’ll always go with what he says over any other conventional thinking

Excited for Zelda to not be here outside of another teaser trailer with 15 seconds of gameplay AGAIN.

Hopefully we get proven wrong about Zelda being the only real major game left on Switch

New direct announced, so you know what that means… the return of Fami Matters! Let’s all sing together now:

FAMI MATTERS

It’s a rare condition, this day and age,
To see a Direct, on the Famiboard front page.
It’s a Nintendo tradition of the grand design,
To make sure their directs are a rarity to find.

Well then there must be some hyped up fans inside these gentle boards.
Cause all I see is a board full of dreams,
With anticipation bursting out of every post’s seams.

As days go by, It’s the bigger love of the Fami-ly

"mostly nintendo switch games"... so theres a chance for 3DS games?

(i assume it means "mostly switch games for 23 and 1 or 2 for 24"
or "there will be announcements for mobile games like pikmin go (or how its called...)")

I guess i can now tell you the truth:

Nintendo and i have a deal. I keep stanning them and their games, and they keep doing Directs in February as a gift for my upcoming birthday.

So, you're welcome.

Disclaimer: This is obviously a joke.

LETS GET THIS BREAD

Now uh.....give us GBA expansion so the expansion pack would finally be worth it.

TOTK, Metroid Prime 4, Metroid Prime Remastered, Pikmin 4, Paper Mario TTYD Remastered, and a new Zack and Wiki for the hell of it or I riot. Oh, and Earthbound 64 fully completed and released on NSO alongside them removing borders.

Hype! Need to make my bingo card. Hope the Zelda and kirby(if there) segments are short like announced game segments tend to be
I expect: updates on XBC3 dlc, Advance Wars, Zelda, maybe Dokapon kingdom’s release date, 2-3 first party surprises, a handful of third party surprises, some updates and a cool announcement or two. Oh yeah Beaten Kaitos would be cool

So I no longer have to shorten an intern meeting on Thursday, but I currently have a 4-5pm internal sync meeting that normally happens on Mondays but has been scheduled for tomorrow this week. I hope it moves again, but if it doesn't, I'm definitely finding a way to get tf out of that one lol. No close calls allowed!

In Nate we trust. He was pretty adamant about this week.
Looking forward to his predictions video now.

Excited to see Mario this Direct. He’s been so busy with his movie he forgot to announce a new game since Strikers a year ago.

Monty is the bringer of Directs! All hail the mole!

mon-rave.gif

We are officially adding whether or not a Nintendo account tweets a random photo of Monty as a sign of an impending Direct announcement, right?

Hmmm, I’m terms of Zelda I don’t think this will be the big blowout. I bet we get a focused Direct in March for that (Announced at this Direct)

Focus on H1 games is the same wording they used last Feb, take that for what you will in regards to if we get a general in June or not

Christ, what a relief lol
Wasn't sure I could take even one more day.

In 32 hours we'll have seen TotK. I mean really seen it. Can't wait.
