Finished the Booster Course Pass waves 1-3!
Far out, I'd almost forgotten what a phenomenal game MK8 is, they really hit it out of the park. The soundtrack especially absolutely slaps.
Seeing courses like Mushroom Gorge and Maple Treeway in HD was a glorious nostalgia rush, and Merry Mountain was an awesome new addition.

Next up, I have acquired a copy of Mario 3D World so I can finally check out Bowser's Fury!

I do wonder if they’ll ever add in more Tennis if nothing else. Like at least let you finish objectives you collect, but don’t exist. (But it’d be announced far away from a Direct given reception)
 
lol I think I just realized that the reason ToTK went with floating islands is that at the end of BotW Link can go virtually anywhere, and Nintendo needed to find a way to gate the new (that is, the chunks that aren't just remixed Hyrule) content.

I've seen plenty of kids at the high school I work say they like Andrew Tate recently as well. Honestly I have no idea who the guy is, but since most of those kids are shitheads I'll wager he is too.

So I preordered SpongeBob: The Cosmic Shake when Best Buy mistakenly had it for $20. Turns out it’s arriving Sunday, a full two days early! I mean, I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth, but…I wouldn’t mind the same happening for TotK, too lol

But anyway, they haven’t shown hide nor hair of this game lately apart from a trailer or two recently, have they? No reviews yet and we don’t have any idea of how Switch performance and IQ is gonna go. Figured there’d be a little more chatter just a few days from release, even keeping in mind it’s a small release.
 
Watching BattleBots and team Overhaul has a lady cosplaying as 2B during the competition, katana and everything. 😳

I've got Ghost Stories and the newer Fist of the North Star movie on pre-order, just waiting on it to ship out. Money was a bit tight and had to pass on A-ko 2 when it came out but gonna pick up a bunch of Discotek stuff next time a sale comes around.
 
Getting close to taking back every nice thing I've ever said about Tunic during this unbelievably tough section of the game imo
 


This might be the closest I'll get to scratching that SSX Tricky itch. Only a 2023 release year, but hopefully the date is announced before long

Grabbed WRC 9 at the eShop for 5 €, and i want to say...

Why does it seem so hard for developers to get close to the rally feeling?

Nacon seems to think, just like Polyphony, that by reducing the friction to almost 0 you get a rally game, but the driving lacks weight everywhere and makes the game too hard to control.

I mean it's not a bad game, and since i used Game points to get a eShop card for 6 € the game was basically free for me, but it gave me a really hard time at first.

Plus, it's not optimized for the joycon sticks.

Rush Rally Origins is a very good rally game on Switch.

Nah. i drink just as much coffee on the weekends as normal, and i hardly ever drink alcohol. I think maybe i just drink less water when i’m at home, and that contributes to getting headaches? also, i always seem to get them during days when there is nothing to do but sit on the couch and be on my phone. perhaps boredom/laziness is also a factor. i would say screen time is an obvious culprit, but i don’t use screens any more on the weekend than i do at work 🤔
 
I got an Xbox Series S last year but with so many Switch releases, I haven't really played it a whole lot. With Octopath Traveler II coming out next month, that might still be the case a while longer but I think in March and April, I think I'm gonna finally try out Game Pass catch up on some old Xbox franchises I haven't played in years. Gears 4, Gears 5, Halo Infinite. Plus Ghostwire Tokyo should be out as well.

I intend to replay the Halo franchise before playing Infinite.

It’s too bad Project Gotham Racing isn’t on Game Pass. And it isn’t backwards compatible either! 😰
