#1 is what I'm using now, #6 is not in serious contention since it's my handwriting and it's awful. I think 2 and 3 are each decent, 3 will need to be updated to have quotation marks of course but that isn't hard. What say ya'll?

This is your second Fire Emblem again right? It just means you're experiencing the Fire Emblem cycle for the first time! It's a lot like the Zelda cycle.

But in a seriousness, the Fire Emblem games can be quite different from each other. Sometime features are removed while others are added. Sometimes fundamental series mechanics like weapon breakage or the weapon triangle disappear and reappear. The stories, tone, art styles change from game to game. That's what I like about the series but it can often upset people because they are not getting exactly what they played before. There's a certain hardcore segment of Fire Emblem fans online who want the games to be more like the classics. Permadeath only. 95% focus on the tactical battles without all the other stuff. But there are others who like the social stuff so something like Three Houses really connected with them. It's a pretty diverse fanbase for what I consider a pretty diverse series.
 
Damn, just finished chapter 10 on FE Engage and I think it’s the first time I regret activating permadeath in a FE game. A lot of us thought before release that « Normal » mode would actually be an « Easy » mode and « Hard » would be the « Normal ». But no, they are not lying, « hard » is hard

My girlfriend is a kindergarten teacher and her kids love bugs, so we caught this little critter for them to observe.
I used to catch, raise, and release caterpillars/butterflies when I was a kid, so it was kinda nostalgic.

Fun fact; Satoshi Tajiri, the inventor of Pokemon, was inspired by his love of collecting bugs as a child. He's also autistic.
 
Quick question all, how active is Splatoon 2 now that Splatoon 3 is out? Is there a way to easily see the number of online players?

A friend of mine is curious about the game and I gave him my honest opinion that while it's a great game, it's personally not for me. I want to lend him my physical copy so he can get a feel for what the average online battle is like before he drops $80 before tax on Splatoon 3, but I'm not sure how full lobbies get these days

Given Splatoon 1 on WiiU is still fairly active, I'd be surprised if 2 doesn't still have an active player base.
 
I need to go back one day and try to get into Three Houses again because I've sunk 32 hours into Engage so far.

Sony's got to be annoyed that the AAA exclusive from Square Enix they paid for got blown out of the water by a $30 game from The Evil Within devs.

Just got back from celebrating a friend's birthday, how's everyone doing tonight? Idk how much gaming I'll be able to do the next four days since I have plans every day, but I'm itching to get back into Tunic.

Truly. I took a quick break after finishing the second Dam mission, scrolled my social media briefly, saw this, muted my TV without looking away from my phone screen. I continue to be in absolute awe and it's taking all my willpower not to watch it again this late at night

Tonight's not so bad; currently stressing over condo furniture layouts because I have all of 700 sq. ft. to work with in total (and 9' ceilings), but I'm desperately hoping to find a way to fit my vinyl collection and shelving, rabbit + enclosure, dining bench and dining table, couch, and a standing desk all into this 20'x10' combination kitchen/living/dining space. I've just decided to do this at well after 1AM because the condo closes in roughly a month and I'm nowhere closer to happy with a solution now as I was the last six months 🙃

I don't want the bunny in the den (no natural sunlight in the den and I feel bad, plus I wanted to keep all my retro consoles/a pullout couch for guests in that spare room), I don't want the vinyl in the den because it seems silly storing them in the back when I'll have the turntable and sound system in the main living space, and I don't want my desk in the den because I would like sunlight while I work (and also don't want to lose track of time if I'm on my computer in an isolated room that has no sunlight)

I'm so close to starting a thread in the roost but A) not sure how many interior designers lurk these boards, 2) I worry they're gonna tell me it's impossible and to give up on this endeavour, and iii) there's still that worry I'll give a little too much information about myself in a public sphere even if I do hide it behind hide/reply tags lol

I assume that if they find a way to mod the roms to change the logo to "Story of Seasons" and "Story of Seasons 64" they could release them on NSO. I doubt that will happen, but Marvelous seems to have the rights on the old games as well, given that they release remakes of them under the Story of Seasons name.

I went back to Normal, i don't have time for this. While it's good that for once "Hard" actually means hard, the amount of RNG fuckery especially with the accuracies makes it frustrating.

On Normal, RNG can fuck around as much as it wants, the impact isn't as bad as in Hard.

When it came out 25 years ago? You can't blame folk for forgetting that when most n64 games (that people have had a chance to play more recently) don't.
