Looking at the sales overall Gotta admit at $20 I'm tempted by monster Hunter stories 2. Oh Actraiser renaissance too. And Legend of mana. On the cheap indie side: Flipping death, Yoku's island express, Giga Wrecker Alt and Nefarious have my interest. And oink games but it's not that cheap. Could just finish yoku on gamepass tho

Definitely go for Yoku! If it's still on GP that's where we played it and it was great fun to traverse, explore the nooks and crannies, and find the collectibles. I hope we see a new game from this dev soon.

I just played two hours of Sports Story, but I’d highly recommend you play Golf first, it has the same characters and the game kinda assumes you have played Golf Story before this one.

We would like to ask the community what you all think about the amount of pinned/stickied threads. Currently, we have 4 - first party, hardware, GenDisc and the Metroid event. Is it sufficient, or too many? Would 3 stickies make the site feel more manageable? Is it fine as it is? Would 5 stickies be over the line?

As someone who visits the site on mobile like 90% of the time (with a somewhat smaller-ish smartphone), four pinned threads are borderline already; they're all I see when first opening the gaming subforum. I think three is fine, every additional one is a bit annoying to be frank.

I think the top 3 can be mainstays honestly since they're so commonly viewed and will be for eternity. I would suggest to have no more than 2 rotating ones beyond that. 4 is ok; anything more than 5 would be too much.

Really one of those games that exists for one reason - to make you happy.

This is a game I'd love to play again, but which I'd rather buy at a fair discount on Switch, given I originally had it on Wii U.

Fingers crossed NST's working on a sequel with EPD.

So, you can find academic or scholarly articles/studies at the touch of a button? And it's that easy?

That's... honestly amazing, as I know that many studies are behind a paywall.

And, of course, Google Scholar has a lot of studies that are not readily available unless you pay for them or use other means, but all the same, I've seen a lot that definitely are.

Astonishing.

And I didn't know about this function of the Google search engine?

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

Ah dang, do the MMX games in the collections not have save states? The MMLC had them for the Mega Man games so I just assumed the MMX would be the same. If save states aren't in I think I'll try the first game on the SNES Classic instead.

If you have one, yes go for it. It is the best game in the series as far as I've heard, and Capcom took the Nintendo "let's make this as close to the original experience as possible" route to this games. You have password save system (that works as a password so it does not save the secret things as Hadouken), achievements and it seems a boss rush thing as well, did not try that yet, the rest is the original games, slowdowns included.

Eh, that rumor doesn't sound believable at all. SMT4 makes use of secondary screen a lot, they need to remake the game completely to bring it to other platforms.

Maybe it's not 4-5 but SMT3-Digital Devil Saga 1-2? Makes more sense, DDT should be next in line to receive a HD remaster.

Eh, dungeon design was one of the worst. For SMT4 and Apocalypse Atlus focused on story rather than dungeons, it left us kinda wanting. SMT4 was kind of a followup to 3DS's Strange Journey in that aspect. SMT5 followed SMT3 instead.

It's such a sweet and wonderful treasure of a game. Tons of replay value that helps you appreciate the level design and charm even further, too. I love the game more the more I play it. I've periodically gone back to get collectibles and such over the ensuing years and still have some things to do in the game. I'm looking forward to jumping (well, not jumping, Captain Toad doesn't do that), er, happily returning to the game in the near future.

Google Scholar is great. I work in a consulting firm doing mathematical models and I use Scholar a lot to search literature of each problem I need to solve. Almost everything has been studied by someone else before!

Personally, SMT4 is my favorite in the series (the Tokyo map does kinda suck though). SMT4:A had slightly better combat, maybe the best ever, it’s close to V, but it has some iffy character and plot moments and like you said at least one dungeon that’s downright awful.

I would absolutely love a Switch port of 4, but I don’t really buy this at all. SMT is already pretty niche, I don’t picture it doing much of anything on Xbox unless they just wanted it along with Switch to toss onto Gamepass or something.
