My dad's appendix removal went well and he's in the hospital recovering today before hopefully being brought home on some antibiotics. His appendix was not ruptured, but perforated, so good thing they caught it in time. But early this morning my mom passed out (2nd time in about a month) so now she's in a different ER. She's a fairly new diabetic, so possibly it's related to that in some way? Continued good vibes are appreciated! My anxiety has been peaking lately
 
Finally read the racoonies! That was a fun read and I concur with everything you said about Kirby! I still think Splatoon 3 and Switch Sports are going to be a bit of a slow burn, but that's probably worth a thread of its own.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. 343 just updated the MCC with steam workshop so I’m reinstalling it on my steam deck to try out some mods. I was gonna play horizon but 343 provided a surprise birthday present for me for one of my favorite games

Best wishes to you and your family, dude 💜 My mom and sister both went through appendicitis in their mid-20s and my grandmas on both sides of my family had to watch for their diabetes, so I can empathize a great deal. I'm sure your parents will have a speedy recovery before long and things will get back on track before you know it

I think the thing about Doug Bowser I like the most is that he feels so exceedingly normal business-type. You look at that man and you think “that guy‘s got mortgage payments and a two-car garage.” That man owns at least 20 neckties, not including “funny” ones. That man cares about his lawn.

I am starting to get sick of people posting about their devices(this is more of a rant than anything). Saw on another forum someone saying they are fan of cloud gaming while gaming on a gigantic OLED TV using a cloud gaming device. I am not saying their means of gaming is a bad thing, but it almost felt like a brag - huge TV, expensive cloud gaming device and most of all, good internet. Knowing what most people are going through due to inflation, posts like that are just sour to me. I am thankful that I can still afford certain luxuries in life, but I will not go about flaunting it.

End of rant.

Idk I don't have an oled or steam deck or a lot of the stuff others have but it doesn't bother me. People are allowed to be happy and talk about their purchases if they enjoy them imo

Many thanks to both of you! Mom is being admitted for 24 hours just for routine heart monitoring 🤞
