God, if the new FE is revealed here, then I absolutely can't wait to see what the character art looks like this time around. Will it be the same artist as Three Houses/Hopes, or will it be a different artist I wonder? Hopefully the latter lol

I have so many hacked devices for emulation and dumping my games and various mods. Most people don't do that. They rather plugs and play (and honestly, so do I despite hacking my Vita, Wii U, and 3DS). If they add GB/GBA/GBC, I would almost consider cancelling my Pocket order if I did not think the device itself is so cool and I have an everdrive and some original carts already.

Shure, its not a mainstream solution, i was talking more of the "core" audience and fans.
Also: there where many devices, but it was always more work compared to today. It just gotten easier.
Mind you, für the masses it will still be nice, but i just feel like the gaming sphere excitement
would have been higher a year or 2 ago. (And that can sweep up uninvolved or curious people that
want to know what the fuss is about when social media is full. but maybe im completly miss judging.

I... hows that again the thing i sad? i feel like there is no connection.
I dont care if a subscription model moves to a platform, if im not even interested in the offering as is.
Heck, there is 0.0 chance that they ove back to x86, so most of the emulation should work be an easy port , if they would need to redo emulation for the next platform i would classify them as incapable on the software front (and i know they are not when they want to)

I mean, they will take it to switch 2, for SURE. But im really not shure what the connection is here...
 
I usually don’t want to miss work because I 100% love my job, but I’d be okay with having tomorrow off if it means I don’t have to miss watching this live. Lol If I do work, hoping it’s at least later in the day.

Wow I haven’t been checking this thread for hours because of college, but Nate really confirmed an F-Zero GX remaster??? This is huge news! The Captain is finally back!

Nothing can jumpstart a series again like a fan favorite game remastered to a huge install base.

That's probably Nintendo's thinking with a lot of these rumored remasters, sort of testing the waters to see what series might be worth pursuing further. Plus, if you get outside devs to do them then you might also get them to help with any new titles.

Worked for Metroid (though that was a full remake)

F-Zero GX is really happening huh? Guess that does cement Sylux as legitimate, although that makes their disappearance alongside Samus Hunter even stranger. I guess Sylux was only around to keep them in check and stopped posting when SamusHunter did. But they were getting on Markomaro too, and he hasn't stopped. Wonder what happened

IT'S METROID PRIME REMASTERED BAAAAYBEEEEEEE. No not that baby. It's the Gamecube classic you want, with updated graphics and QoL improvements. And oh some really cool extra's. Like Samus her Fusion suit included and as an extra her suit from Metroid Dread.

You want more Metroid? Sheesh. Sure. Metroid Prime 4: Extraction. A quick look trailer. It looks great. Retro got their shit together. It's 2023 ya clods.

Third Party games? Sure. Here is It Takes Two. I still have no idea why EA are treating us like some redheaded stepchild. I mean, look at us! But they it's EA, they're weird. Oh yeah, there was some snitch dude who leaked Fatal Frame 4 (Project Zero IV in Europe) and yes, this game is finally releasing in the west. It will appear on other platforms, but still, the Switch version is the most awesome one. Oh right Square-Enix. Well the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters are finally coming. There's Tactics Ogre. And oh, the Final Fantasy Crisis Core remaster. Oh right Sonic. Yo Sega don't you have any- all right they're gone.

Oh btw, Xenoblade 3 DLC. It's going to be awesome.

Btw, Gameboy games are finally coming. I know right, what took us so long? Launching with Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2 SGC, Wario Land, Kirby's Dreamland and a special guest appearance, Gargoyle's Quest. No Zelda. No, it's already a Switch game. Buy that.

Uh, well Bayonetta 3 is going to be great. It's off the hook, like Splatoon. But featuring a long legged witch instead of squid kids.

Another reel? Sure, Alan Wake is finally on the system. Hope you like the weirdness. NBA 2K 2023 is a thing. FIF- haha, yeah no, good joke EA. Oh right Nier Automato. FOR THE GLORY OF MANKIND. Oh right Batman collection. It's pretty cool, Arkham, City and Origins. That new Mickey Mouse Illusion game is coming to Switch.

Yup lots of games coming. Here is a sizzle reel. Includes Persona 5 Royal, Diofield Chronicles, Harvestella, Dragon Quest Treasures (man we have a lot of RPG's), No Man's Sky, Taiko, Life is Strange Collection and more.

And here are some Wind Waker and Twilight Princess releases for the end of this year.

And Breath of the Wild 2? It's called Skies of the Wild. 2023.

I do hope both SamusHunter and SyluxHunter are alright though. We might not "like" them here due to fake leaks and whatnot, but they're still human so I hope they're okay.

It's just really weird they disappeared overnight.

eh a few weeks ago around near the end of August, he retweeted two tweets; One of them being Nate's. So based on that, Sylux is still around.

I will be working away from a computer the whole week, so I lost today's madness and will not be able to catch the Direct right as it releases tomorrow. Hopefully I can avoid spoilers until I get home.

I will even bookmark the page so I don't have to access YouTube's home, which would likely lead me to seeing videos about what will be announced.

I hope everyone enjoys what's to come! Given they emphasized these will be "winter" games, I am not feeling Zelda will show up.

Poor Howgarts Legacy. They said that the Switch date would be revealed "very soon" but no one included them in their predictions xD.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the next wave of Mario Kart and the next update to Mario Strikers.
 
I know it might be a push, but what if this Direct did end on a new Switch console reveal, just a brief 1 minute video panning through a house, as it gets closer to the entertainment centre you see a docked Switch but something about it looks different, the light on the dock blinks on, screen goes black and 2023 flash’s up then fades to black.

Plot twist: Game comes out before Christmas but with a Remastered Samus Returns OST in place of the original.

Also, BOTW2 new title drop will be revealed: B.O of the Wild.

Sylux has clearly been hired by Nintendo to reprise their role in Metroid Prime Hunters HD Remastered.
 
I see Batman Arkham Collection on everyone's prediction lists, yet I don't see it happening tomorrow. That collection, with Arkham Knight a part of it, most likely was a Drake announcement. And probably got delayed along with Drake.

That retail listing had the same price point as the full collection, I don't think it's just Asylum + City. Could be that Origins included with the pack but that's a move I wouldn't expect from WB.

Markomaro is quite literally a user from the Spanish Vandal forums, which just grabs random rumor stuff from here and there, when he doesn't just makes it up on the spot, so it's not like you can stop him, really. Wish people would catch on already on how much of a fraud he is.

I’m good with any time. Never really played much if it at all back in the day, but did get lucky and got a mint condition, complete-in-box copy of it a few months ago for $10 at a swap meet (flea market). Haven’t played though and just going to wait for the remaster now.

Why not? We didn't get a Pokémon game to accompany Detective Pikachu, despite the fact the the sequel of the said game was in development. And Pokémon is arguably a bigger franchise than Mario.

As much as I‘d love that, I think the movie delay rumor is right. Spring 2023 for Zelda and the Mario Movie + a game (because why don’t launch the movie with a game, as you said) seems very crammed.
I‘d love a new 2D Mario for early next year though.

I feel like it was pretty obvious Sylux was legit after the "Bayo 3 will be released Oct 28, and this will be announced at 9am tomorrow" thing panned out. Sometimes people just have a hard time letting go of their assumptions.

Like the idea that Sylux was just another Jon Cartwright bit

That's the home console version date. Retailers used that wrong date for Switch version. It will come later than that, probably half a year later.

because the hardware is real and probably not that far off from being shown. not expecting it here - but who knows, fuck precedent at this point. regardless rumblings around it are only going to grow

and as somebody else pointed out, Nate mentioned parters getting briefed on it very recently. we knew dev kits have been out for a long time, but I’d have to assume this “briefing” either comes with new information or is for a broader audience - or both.
