I have zero hype for F-Zero GX remaster, it only means a possible new F-Zero game is still years away so it's time to just stop caring

Nate supporting the existence of a new Donkey Kong game is hype tho

Thought about a companion app as well, I think it would be great to take them on a walk but it doesn't change the lack of a touchscreen in docked mode (fine though, Let's Go let us pet Pikachu und Eevee in docked too) and the microphone. Calling the dog was wonky anyway but I think they should do something else special to call your dog and not just a button press. Overall it just seems awkward on non-DS or mobile devices to be honest.

I feel like we should be past the point of validation. Everyone in the Nintendo community knows who the trustworthy insiders are and who are not.
 
I like how in the predictions video Jeff said that it would be cool if a Pikmin 4 was announced and Nate was just laughing and mentioned that it has been 7 years since Miyamoto announced it. Seems like Nate hates Pikmin somewhat that he don't believes.

Emily has been spot on enough times for me to genuinely give the benefit of the doubt on things that don't shake out, because of course plans change sometimes. The nature of inside information is that we hear about things the companies have not decided to tell us yet-- it always carries the risk of becoming info we never hear.

Jeff, I don't follow as closely, but when it comes to Nintendo presentations I've never seen him be flat out wrong. He usually has an inkling of timing and will share thoughts when he has them.

I just don't see the reason to have animosity about any of these folks. Why do people get so bent out of shape about this stuff?

Me neither. I've been called names numerous times, when I shared information of the aforementioned on Nintendo Life to the point of mental exhaustion. You simply cannot argue or reason with these people, and I just decided to stop talking about it. Look at this ancient rumor that was false, look at that. Not a peep when things turned out to be correct. Cannot imagine what the people in question have to deal with themselves.

I'm actually down with Gamecube game remasters. I've been noticing that more than a few of the GC games I find at flea markets are disc rotting now. It's time to revise this games for the new generation to enjoy.

Especially if we can get those on more durable cartridges...

But no, yeah, RGG may be a little busy to be doing F-Zero remasters. I do wonder if whoever does make it will sand off AiAi from Billy's belt, or they'll just keep that Monkey Ball nod intact, with the additional complications that may entail.

A new F-Zero would be years away regardless of this remaster... it's F-Zero.

At least this puts the IP back on the market and may expedite a new title if it's successful enough.
 
When we finally get the name of BotW 2 it might be a little weird at first. I remember we would say Zelda Wii U for the longest and when BotW was announced the name it took some time to get used too.

Thank you for answering my carpal tunnel related question Nate. I do like playing games a bit but I will be toning it down a good bit once things get resolved hopefully. For now, no games for me but I hope I can get too enjoy the ones from the direct sooner rather than later.

are we bullish or bearish on Xenoblade 3 wave 2 DLC showing up here? I'm bearish and think it'll just end up in a Twitter post, same with MK8DX BCP wave 3

Ok going based on some of the discussion around GameCube from Nate’s podcast some titles being remastered vs others being for NSO. How do we think they might view Pikmin 1/2? Could we see a Pikmin 1/2 Deluxe in the future in the lead up to Pikmin 4 or do those make more sense for a NSO type of release? Has Eighting been up to much since 3 deluxe beyond assisting on an Arcsys game?

Maybe not now or this year but in the future. It would be games that Nintendo wouldn't be interested in remastering. He did say while he trust his sources, the info wasn't substantial enough to make a whole video about it.

So there you go. GCN games on NSO sounds it is coming down the pipeline eventually but maybe not anytime in the very near future.

What if games like Melee and GX are just extra expansion pass offers, like, single apps you can download with online functionality added. I’ve actually been thinking about Nintendo doing something like this with Melee since the panda series was announced, just a way to get more people to compete

Yeah. He’s heard about it, but doesn’t think it’ll be here. For him it comes down to when it’s releasing and when Nintendo wants to start talking about it. He thinks the announcement can be saved for next year.
 
Nintendo doing that routine from the Simpsons:

  • you have 30 minutes to remove your Switch.
  • your Switch has been impounded.
  • your Switch has been turned into a Cube.
  • you have 30 minutes to remove your Cube.
