My boyfriend and I watch the trailers and the Direct like normal couples watch Netflix together. We are extremely excited for all the references to Xenogears <3

I can't believe we are a month away, not looking forward to going on media blackout in 2-3 weeks though!

Good luck to the unfortunate souls who will have to try and get a copy.

Due to some uncertainty of where I will be at with my money at the end of July, I will not be getting the game right away but will a little bit in august.

Don’t worry, I will get though, I swear

If I was able to get Xenoblade 2’s special edition I would go for this one, but it would nag at me only having the 3rd Special Edition on the shelf…

And now if Europe would at least let people know something...

I don't expect this many issues for Europe, if I'm not mistaken every country has a separate store so the hype induced DDoS shouldn't happen (in theory).

Last time, you were able to bypass the waiting room by doing a search for the game in the website search bar and clicking on the link that way.

The reason this worked is because they had two URLs — a "fake" one, which is the one currently up that has the non-working preorder button, and the "real" one ehich only exists when the preorder is live, which the "fake" one rerouted to.

They put the waiting room in front of the "fake" one that everyone was trying to get to, not realizing that the "real" link was findable via their search query. There was a period where both XC3 Special Editions popped up in the search lol.

That didn’t work for long though. Managed to secure a copy using the sales site method (had in Cart) which that page had it’s own checkout cart. That site is still under maintenance lol.

Nintendo figured out some people were able to bypass Wario at the checkout page using Chrome Devtools mods so they added the waiting room there as well. Which without going through the repair/sales pages was the only way to check out anything

I grabbed some values from the post request that put it in the cart and was able to help somebody get it into their cart via Postman.

I can’t stop watching the Xenoblade direct. It’s so fricking good. One of the best game specific directs ever. Why is the music so god tier???
I watched the entire thing of Luxin's Xenoblade Direct analysis....... I'm right there with you

I noticed in Luxin's video he suggests there are different accessory slots for each type of accessory (hats, gloves, necklace, shoes) but his evidence for this is that they have different type icons which doesn't make sense because that's exactly how they were in 2. Now, I actually think he's right but just his reason for thinking so doesn't make sense. I was thinking of making a long post with my observations about the shop menu and its UI but then realized no one would probably read it lol.

But in short, the biggest things that stick out to me: There's two returning items (Rainbow Gloves and Chrome Scarf) while the rest are new - though the effects aren't. The two hat effects weren't hat effects in 2. HP up belonged to vests while cancel opportunity window was on cubes. This implies there are less 'types' of accessories than 2. Types were purely aesthetic in 2 and were mostly just there to make finding items in a list easier because certain effects were always associated with certain types (like strength boosts were always on belts) - so reducing the types would indicate they now represent different slots. The naming convention is also different for new items and we have both a hat and a shoe called 'Guards' - 2's accessories never shared the main noun like that. And I'm going to predict that accessories will only have percentage increases for stats while gems have the flat increases.

Also, Rainbow Gloves could be bought in Alba Cavanich while Chrome Scarfs could be dropped by Mor Ardain enemies. This could imply the liberation of Colony 9 takes place roughly as far into the game as chapter 4 did in 2. On the other hand, the prices are in line with Aregntum's accessory shop so it's hard to say. I wonder if you start the game in Colony 9 before becoming an Ouroboros and can shop in the opening chapter before it's closed off until liberation.

Analysis videos bore me greatly.

I tried watching one for Xenoblade and I noped out.

Actually. I pretty much never watch any for anything games. If it’s something I’m gonna buy. I see no reason. Only time I would is if confirms a gameplay element coming back. Like Fire Emblem trunwheel mechanics was one for three houses

This month is going to be a massive push and pull between wanting everything about the game right now and also wanting nothing more at all so I can just dive in fresh on release day. I think I'll Elden Ring it, and go almost complete blackout except for checking out some reviews on launch week (and probably keep poking my head in here occasionally)

We got a tweet on a third faction (Lost Numbers?) character, the brawler from the trailer. No indication if she's a hero or not but she totally has to be.

She is a mysterious figure who does not belong to Keves or Agnus. She is small in stature but has a great sense of combat and fights with her fists. She is a very brave person who is never intimidated by huge enemies and never loses! She always has two guards and they call her "Miss"!

I like the Videl hair

I really wanna know if we can climb anywhere like in X or not. I can't get truly over the moon hyped unless I know I can stand atop every single peak I see in the footage!!!

Sorry but this is one hell of a case of a character looking better in art than their in-game model.
