My final predictions based upon the rumors/leaks/gut

Mario + Rabbids 2 will get 5 minutes of focus in this

Persona 3-5 get announced, p5r is not coming this year like it is on the other platforms

Nier Automata port

Tactics Ogre Reborn reveal

Outer Wilds new release date confirmed

Ace Attorney 4-6 collection announced

Madden Legacy, first version of Madden for Switch

Dragon Quest treasures gets a 5 minute focus

I think despite the fact this is 25 minutes, Steve's (from GVG) thought that this might be mini because there are less games due to 1-2 getting a lot of focus really stuck with me. Of the games we think we'll hear about Mario + Rabbids 2 and DQ Treasures seem like the two Nintendo is most likely to pimp.

I'm not talking about what I personally want. I've stated several times that I'm ok with the switch as it is, and I would be ok if it wasn't replaced until 2025.
I'm talking about the fact that releasing a pro model, that is a console which main goal is to offer a boost in resolution and frame rate for existing games, makes little sense when the original console has been on the market for nearly 6 years. At this point, people dissatisfied with the Switch visual won't be magically swayed because Zelda is 1080p rather than 900p, and those like me who are ok with 900p won't feel an urge to shell 350 rupees for a few more pixels.

Finally, the only tangible information we have for a new console by Nintendo indicates a machine in-between a PS4 and an XBSS. Complete overkill for a "switch pro".
I'm sorry I didn't read your whole post history?
The New 3DS also wasn't that much of an upgrade at the time.
The extra power was barely used so the biggest selling point was the facetracking for the 3D, which many people refused to use anyway.
And the OLED only has bugger and better screen.
So I wouldn't be surprised by such an upgrade even if it won't "magically sway" people.
Zippo on the top always. From time to time there are always names that we've forgot over the years but when they pop up we know who they are, we know them all.
it was so weird when he outed himself as an insider.
I mean he was just a normal poster in the Direct thread on Era like the rest of us.

This is definitely sounding like a very port/remaster/remake-heavy presentation, I just hope that there will be at least one or two surprises.

Let's see if there's any surprise of a partner today, otherwise I can see all the comments after it:

Nintendo Direct Mini: Partners Late Ports Showcase

(but yes, Persona, NieR, Batman... I will buy them all happily anyway, thanks)

One of the music composers of Platinum Games also retweeted the Direct announcement. It seems Bayonetta is going to be there...

But what I really want from them is a new Okami style game :(

What would be the chance of seeing Live-A-Live? Square is publishing it in Japan but Nintendo is publishing it in the US. It's somewhere in the purgatory between 1st and 3rd party. Although given Nintendo we should probably go with the Japanese publisher and expect to see it in a 3rd party direct. If it's there in this Direct, I'd expect a 4-5 minute showcase given it's coming out so soon in July

Seiji Hotta, he has worked for Platinum, but he could be an external composer, which is very common.
From my brief research his first game with Platinum was Babylon's Fall but he is a composer there now, not freelance.

Good indication for Bayo 3?

Unless they are hiding new content (very unlikely) it feels like they have showered already a lot in Twitter.

It is 3rd party so it could be there, probably it will Nintendo always shows Team Asano games in multiple Directs.

I listened to Nate's newest podcast episode and while it didn't have much new or surprising stuff, it was nice to have all of the speculation and educated guesses in one spot. What they predict, at least publicly, sounds pretty whelming to me but that's partially also because we've "known" about a lot of it for so long. Guess we'll know soon!

That's true. They've uploaded a lot of individual trailers on Youtube as well

And yeah this is what I think too. All previous Team Asano games get shown in nearly every presentation before their release, even if it is just a brief mention in a sizzle reel

SMTV was also by published by Nintendo in the West.
So I think any game not directly by Nintendo is fair game.

I mean we also got Cadence of Hyrule in a parter showcase and even Age of Calamity if I remember right.

Age of Calamity is the game that makes me think if Fire Emblem Gust would be a partner or not.

Now the fun part of the week starts. I got my doctor's visit handled, my paid leave was approved, and my Monster Hunter Sunbreak Pro Controller was shipped (I don't even play Monster Hunter but I needed a new Pro Controller and didn't just want the black one, third party controllers often don't have rumble and the other special edition Pro controllers were all sold out, sooooo....).

And this in an hour. I still got work but things are going well there today too so I might even be able to take a break to watch this in an hour :D

Today's the day, folks.

I have a meeting right when the Direct is supposed to air, but I will come up with some excuse for being 25 minutes late.
