2020: [3D All-Stars came out in late September]
2021: Mario Party Superstars
2022: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
2023: Super Mario Universe

Yeah after seeing those screenshots for M+R2 I'm officially hyped. Game looks incredible.

Should probably finish the first game whilst I'm at it...

I had a good feeling about M+R ever since we saw Davide crying at E3. The passion he and his team puts into these games rivals what Nintendo does with Mario themselves.
Not sure if it’s possible, but this is the studio I would like to do Mario and Luigi. I think the studio history with platforming and RPG elements is enough to make a compelling game in this series. And Davide’s Nintendo love and respect would make him the ideal lead.

Nvm it loaded. Game looks gorgeous, as the first one did.

Also seems to confirm
you can remove Mario from your party, unlike the first game.
I hope this opens up unique dialogue and voice lines like Luigi constantly shouting "M-M-M-Maaarioooo" like in Luigis Mansion.

Yeah I’m really not looking forward to the Switch Pro talks getting revitalized once this game gets shown.

You may not need it. But I do. I love these games and Links Awakening showed me that a nicely done remake can really enhance some games.
I wouldn't want it if it were to mean a stall on storyline progression (seriously, we were stuck as far as Fusion for almost 20 years and it seemed like it wrote the series into a corner as to how to proceed in a way that was "Nintendo-friendly" in its themes)

But as stop gaps in between mainline titles or something, with no delay to them? Absolutely 100% yes. It's not like they're going to have a mainline game ready in either subseries every year anyway.

Like I said they would be produced to tide us over until the new games release. Like Aonuma does with Zelda remasters.

its the Ubisoft way...

really wondering if its because of the studio heads..
disgruntled employees and so on
It is because they not only have thousands of employees working on single game but also another couple thousands doing contract work, especially the latter is impossible to track down and make sure there aren’t leaks so Ubisoft stuff always ends up leaking. This case is probably just a mistake made tho

Mario + Rabbids SoH——>Metroid Prime Remaster——->Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (first fully open world Pokémon game)

My god what a 3 game stretch. All DAY 1 purchases for me.

Mario + Rabbids 2 has a different battle system correct? I liked the first game but it definitely got repetitive in its combat and there was no exploration to speak of.
its a bit of the same. you can see a glimpse of it in the gameplay trailer they had. At the least looks like they removed the grid movement system

yeah, good points. Their work forces enhances the chance of leaks greatly. Also they really seem to like to talk and show off when I think about all the plane and train leaks.

Now that we can finally put that dumb rdr2 rumor to the grave, at least until the next direct, I wonder what other surprising port we may get. 25 minutes is a long time and there will surely be something else than Nier and some random collections of Japanese games. I'm hoping, but that's very unlikely, for It Takes Two to be eventually ported to the system. After all, Outer Wilds was announced and I didn't believe in it either.

The battle system is now gridless and there's some real-time elements apparently (one example the devs gave was that you can pick up a Bob-omb and then have a set time to throw it before it explodes)

Ubisoft keeping the long tradition of leaking their games entirely on their own. M+R looks great from the screenshots so I can't wait to see it tomorrow.

Speaking of Astral Chain, it already had massive Xenoblade Chronicles X vibes with the sci-fi big city hub and tons of side quests aiding people. It could be a good project.

Hey, that's not fair

Nintendo leaked Sparks of Hope's reveal

These games always leak lmao. That being said, I should go back and finish Mario + Rabbids 1. I only got to the second area.

The game does look beautiful and it's yet another title where I wish I enjoyed the gameplay. Very happy for fans to experience it though, and I'm excited to see it in motion tomorrow.

September, Splatoon 3.
October, Mario + Rabbids.
November, Pokemon.

That's my Fall all planned out.
For me it's:
September: Splatoon 3

October: Mario + Rabbids 2 and Modern Warfare 2

November: Probably nothing. Pokemon could be great but I've yet to finish Arceus and I wanna wait and see.

Sparks of Hope, RE8 DLC, and God of War (presumably) will be my highlights this fall.

Pokemon and Gotham Knights I will also get but I'm not over the moon for either.

Davide Soliani, a great Nintendo fan (I'm Italian, and when he and I were young we used to go to the same forums) and a very good game designer.
