Assuming next week is a Partner Mini, what would you hope to see? What would get you excited?

What Game would you Guess?

Personally I'd absolutely love to see at the very least Persona 3 and Persona 4*, and *Tactics Ogre Reborn. Anything else on top of that would be a delightful surprise.

This is also assuming we see Mario + Rabbids 2 in a separate presentation.
Maybe my issue with partner mini's is I'm running out of third party games that I want that could realistically come to the Switch haha.

For me the top of my list would have to be the Persona games, then Nonary Games and Zero Time Dilemma, and a wildcard that absolutely won't happen but I'd love would be a Sims Bustin Out remaster. Gitaroo Man also would be very nice.
Oh also just cause it'd be funny, those hd remasters of Yakuza 1 and 2 that they made for the PS3 and Wii U that were Japan only.

Oh, a lot of things. That rumored "high budget Megaman game". Final Fantasy IX remake. next SaGa and Mana games. Any revival from capcom that follows GnG Resurrection's style. That rumored Sega revivals of Jet Set Radio and Crazy taxi. More remasters from Atlus, namely Digital Devil Saga...

I'll be happy to see more of M+R 2 and Bayo 3. Everything else is gravy

Not to fan the flames or anything, but I posted this exactly 200 pages ago and I believe it bears repeating:

I would like to say regarding the insider thing:
These people are members of the community and have been since before this website even existed. Insiders or otherwise, they're Fami. Healthy skepticism is healthy, but when people start lobbing negativity to the point where we begin seeing posts trashing these people, mocking them, namecalling people who defend them, that's not skepticism. It's hostility.

And okay yeah, I've made jokes about some people who have been labelled "fake" insiders. Maybe I come across a bit hypocritical. But those specific people have actively trashtalked our community on multiple occasions and so I joke about them a little as a way to blow off steam and show support for us. And because I can't help but be a little sassy sometimes.

But as far as some of the stuff I've in this thread, towards active members of this community, I don't think it's cool. If Nate and Emily or anyone else stopped giving teases and info and shifted to just shitposting with us, I'd be just as happy to see them hanging around as I do now. And I think most of us feel the same. We enjoy that they get and give special info not because we deify them, but because they're part of this goofy, warm, ridiculous community. They're in the abyss with us, giving it a dash of their flavor just like the rest of us. They should not have such hostility direct(heh)ed towards them. Because none of us should.

sorry this is probably kinda late and derail-y, it just took me a while to type because I was also eating a quesadilla

This will probably not be a popular thought here and I may be accused of doom posting (which is what people who were suggesting a partner earlier got..) but i think it'd be best if we just stopped hoping for directs based on patterns. I've seen people already hyped for the September direct, but can you be so sure there will be one? Nintendo could do a Zelda direct in November for botw for all they care and drop a trailer for Bayo 3 like they did xenoblade and Splatoon 2 months ago.

(It also makes it more exciting to not know what is coming in my opinion)

P5 and Tactics Ogre Reborn are the only games I could predict that would get me excited.

Mario + Rabbids has my attention but I couldn’t care less to see it again. I’ll pay more attention close to release.

Edit: Also, having a Partner mini and having P4G and P3 show up but not P5 would kill me

Miyamoto editing Partner Showcase into General Direct over the weekend in his basement with Macbook just to make us happy. He stole some footage from EPD on flash drive and it will be included here, other management stuff don't know this.

The third party games I'm most excited about probably won't be there. I'd love to see MegaMan BN and Ace Attorney, but both would have been in Capcom's show last week. I'm hoping for a DS Castlevania Collection this year, but that would be announced in September. DQ probably won't get any updates because we just had a little anniversary stream a while ago. Would like to see more SMT ports (DDS1+2), but doubt it with P3 and 4 coming.

I guess there's the possibility of P5, but I'm def not holding my breath for that.

Hopefully there will be nice surprises.

I’m just excited for a new group of people to be able to enjoy the best RPG, Persona 4 Golden, assuming Atlus stops being weird regarding the switch.

e. I'd love to see MegaMan BN and Ace Attorney, but both would have been in Capcom's show last week.
I thought the exact opposite. They'd never put reveals as big as MM and AA in something just a few would watch like Capcom presentation. I mean, GnG Resurrection was a Game Awards, got abig reveal trailer. Both MM and AA are bigger than that. They both deserve to be a Direct opener/closer

Literally the only people who know what is going to happen are people close to nintendo. You guys really warship Nate like a god and it’s kinda weird and freighting.
Gonna be honest, you seem more obsessed with Nate than anyone else in this thread. You often quote people who aren't even talking about him and respond saying "Nate has no idea about such and such". You have like 40 posts about that in this topic.

I even agree with some of the non-Nate related comments you're making, but you really need to stop obsessing over him. You don't trust him, some people do. That's all. No one needs to be toxic to anyone is the point.

I still believe it will be branded as a general Mini rather than a Partner Showcase even if the first-party announcements are minor. Even in that case though it doesn't actually preclude first-party games from outside studios. Seems to have slipped a few people's minds that the October 2020 Partner Showcase had Part Time UFO by HAL and Buddy Mission BOND by Koei Tecmo; both games co-owned and published by Nintendo. On the Japanese Direct site after the presentation they were even listed seperately from the rest of the featured games as "Nintendo Software" or something similar.

Personally I'd absolutely love to see at the very least Persona 3 and Persona 4*, and *Tactics Ogre Reborn. Anything else on top of that would be a delightful surprise.

All four of those will be there, so it'd be nice to see a few more somewhat major surprises. Maybe something else from Square Enix (DQ Treasures or DQIII HD-2D seem possible; less likely would be an FF project like the Pixel Remasters or IX Remake; FF Tactics Remaster will be later in the year). Whatever Rockman Taisen is, I think it could see an announcement in a Direct over any other publisher's showcase (Capcom will likely be present with the launch trailer for Sunbreak but I hope for something else too). GoldenEye could fit the bill of a partner game related to Nintendo; if they're finally ready to announce it.

Because he is part of this community? He is not a god, and he could be wrong sometimes, so what? We know that, but he is an important member of this Nintendo speculation community and we enjoy his speculations.
I you want 100% accurate info about all first party games, go work for Nintendo.
The thing is that if he’s wrong the hell place known as twitter will harass him. I know they kind of do it already but he doesn’t deserve the harassment

I still don’t think it’ll be titled partner mini. It will be a partner heavy mini direct but that’s nothing new. Just means the first party stuff is updates and roadmaps. Which are all things that wouldn’t leak

This should be common sense, but it isn't. And multiple times in the past, people have been pretty toxic against anyone who would be sceptical about patterns and stuff.

The fact is, we don't know when or what kind of direct we'll get, we don't have a clue. No, an E3 Direct isn't a sure thing. No, a January Direct isn't a sure thing. Patterns don't mean crap.

And it is indeed much more fun to be caught by surprise with a Direct announcement. The only clue we got about a Direct is thanks to the insiders. If no one said a thing about a possible Direct next week, things would be much uglier around here.

There's still that Xenoblade leak throwing a wrench into all this Partner Showcase discussion. Should be interesting to see how discussion changes over the next few days.

I'm looking forward to watching the chaos from the comfort of my theme park break room.

2 things:

1) Xenoblade leak?

2) Oh you started your job! Hope it's going well!

General guy direct, that's what they should call it this time.

From now on each and every direct name has to be in the theme of a random Mario enemy, people will start to speculate about the lore weight of said characters, it will be a sight to behold.

Pokey direct, Birdo direct, Goomba direct

1) There was a 4-Chan post that leaked the Xenoblade Direct and its length before it was announced. The same post said that there would be a final story trailer at a Direct next week.

2) Yep! I really, really love it. I'm doing something I'm interested in for once. All my coworkers rule and I can explore the parks for free after work. I'm super happy!

Some of these Youtubers are wild. Went from 2022 to the best year for the Switch possibly, to nothing being released and Nintendo has nothing else this year.

LOL.

I’m not obsessing over him but whatever I’m moving on

maybe the leakers interpreted the word partner showcase wrong and its actually a 'Bring your partner to work today" style direct.
So most gamers won't be able to watch?
Dang... does anyone know of a good dating site these days? I'm so out of the loop. Would "needs someone to watch a Nintendo commercial with" be a good thing to put in the profile? It's appreciated to be to-the-point, right?

That's very cool, happy to hear that!

It helps to keep in mind that most of these people don't really believe any of the shit they peddle but just do it for reactions/engagement.

Possibly, but its the same exact rhetoric I see on Twitter and other gaming websites.

If this was a general direct being announced, this argument never would've been made by people and 2022 would still be great.

think that's just the classic sprinkling fake info with real info thing that leakers love doing

At the end of the day Nintendo is hard to predict. Nobody ever knows all of what they are doing - occasionally games get leaked but they almost always surprise even the journalists and “insiders.” We’ll see what happens this week - I’m ready to buy some games whether they’re revealed this week or if they’re in the big eshop sale going on.

Guys don’t worry, we’ll get 8 Deluxe DLC in a Partner Showcase, cuz like, Namco’s totally the ones porting over the tracks, right? Right?🥲
