How confident are we that Zelda BotW 2 will be shown next week?

Not much at all.

If they are planning on releasing information anytime soon, I don't know why Nintendo would release that Aonuma delay video a few months ago. Most likely, I think we'll see it in September or even February if the game gets delayed to later 2023.

The one thing is that if Nintendo wants to announce WWHD this direct, there will be a lot of pressure for them to at least show a little bit of BotW2.

NoE wouldnt release the game it would be a 3rd party doing so (probably the Spanish shin-Chan rights holder company will partner with Bamco they tend to distribute a lot of games in Spain). Shin-Chan is a lot more popular in Spain/LATAM than in english-speaking countries so if the translation is financed by the Spanish rights holder of Shin-Chan there will not be english release at least from that company, another one will have to take that role. It would be in the European eShop tho at least just not in English
Hmm... you're right, but being a "small" Switch exclusive... I don't know, may be Nintendo is the company who distributes it here, I wouldn't be surprised.

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be teasing you

I still think the reveal of the Direct will be on Tuesday, since there are no signal of Treehouse.
Also, I love the madness of the countdown of the Direct threads when it is about to be announced!
"HERE WE GO!"
"I'm dying"
"1 minute till glory/dispar/nothing!"

And WHEN IT'S FINALLY REVEALED!
"HERE IT IS"
"OMG"
"IT'S HAPPENING"
"WE DID IT"
"YEEEEEEEEEEES"
"FINALLY!!!"

I really really love this place because of those moments!

1:45 - I can't believe Eiji Aonuma teased the Switch all the way back in June of 2014

Nah, that wasn't a Switch reference
because the scene changed immediately when he snapped, as it should, as opposed to what they do with Switch marketing where they snap and then hold the pose awkwardly while the scene fades out.
sorry this is a colossal pet peeve of mine and I have no idea why Nintendo does it that way

lol no offense but wasn’t it like 100% clear Nate’s video wouldn’t arrive tomorrow? There’s at least one delay for every episode
Nate is Aonuma confirmed

does this thread close as soon as the Direct is announced or after it happens? Cuz if DK shows up I just want to type (feel free to join me) I just want to type "monke" and that's it

If Zelda doesn't show up, my prediction of March 3, 2023 is probably wrong and it will release more toward the end of Spring 2023, so May/June.

Taiko got a date
No Man's Sky got a date

These would have been great in a Partner Showcase.
That's actually a great point to make... Taiko and No Man's Sky seem like games that could've easily been saved for a Partner showcase if it only was a few days later

We start predicting the next Direct. The cycle never ends!

To be honest they would have been perfect for those Nintendo Switch Headlines that we see in Directs too. Interesting that they're both Bandai games, maybe they won't be part of the Direct at all.

Somehow I initially read this as "Nate will shove a whole gorilla up his ass in his upcoming podcast episode"
Nintendo is holding their Direct at the tail end of June after decades of having it in early June, these are unprecedented times and everything is possible.

Top 5 is absurdly tough. I'll go Top 10 w/ only one game represented per franchise:

1. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
2. Paper Mario 64 (whether I choose 64 or TTYD basically changes every day)
3. Halo 3
4. Super Mario Galaxy
5. Resident Evil 4 (choosing between this and REmake was very difficult)
6. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
7. Fallout 3
8. Mass Effect 2
9. Banjo-Kazooie
10. Inside

Honorable mentions: Bioshock, Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64 (the latter 3 would've been on the list if not for the one-per-franchise rule), Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium, Final Fantasy VII

70% it's a Direct Mini
29% General Direct
1% Partner Showcase

What do you think? I think Direct Mini is the safest bet given the context.
I would say something like

40% general
30% new third party format
20% there's nothing at all
7% mini
3% 2020-style partner showcase

Yup, I don't think we'll get a general Direct but a Mini or something like that. Third parties announcements and mayyybe something from Nintendo on it

Everyday someone says/post something that makes this place enter in "gloom" mode since the Xenoblade Direct reveal, omg

Just saw that! LOL

I love them, but I'm not a fan of their clickbaity titles. I understand that's kinda how the whole vtuber game works, but I still hate it. I'd still hate it even if they turn out to be right.
Same, click bait titles on YouTube really annoys me...so much.

Yeah, especially when it’s in their podcast titles in like, a podcast app? I’m already subscribed, they don’t need to “entice” me.

They saw us complaining about their clickbaity titles and went "lol watch this"

Or they’re still in cahoots with Nintendo’s marketing department and are doing them a red herring favour.
