I remember all the shit Aonuma got after Skyward Sword...
Personally speaking I seriously consider him the best producer Nintendo has right now. Their Zelda projects are always of high quality, the fan communication is great too with making ofs, interviews, concerts and lots more and he generally really conveys the feeling that the whole team cares about their games.

Also moments like in this GIF are just to good lol
He briefly considered to leave Zelda all together after release of Wind Waker if am not mistaken.

Live A Live is the first 2D HD game from Square Enix I am interested in. Looks lovely.

I for one am glad Nintendo is promoting the hell out of Live A Live. Hopefully the game does well
I probably will get it later as a week later Xenoblade comes out and I probably I would still be busy with Sunbreak. MAYBE, I get it earlier.

Just joined the backlog thread, going to try and beat Earthbound, Star Fox 64, and Xenoblade Definitive Edition before the Direct. I only have to beat the final 2 bosses in Xenoblade, Star Fox 64 is like 4 hours from what I understand, and I'm probably 60-70% of the way through Earthbound, so even with my crazy work schedule I'm feleing optimistic and motivated

4 hours? More like barely 2 hours! You got this!

I've got sackboy to go through right now then disco elysium

Oh shit let's goooooo

Tunic is another one I need to work my way through, that game is so far up my alley.

I put about 20 hours into Disco Elysium on PC and it's masterful, I need to get back to it at some point

I hope when they announce the Direct, it's just not just a simple Tweet. I want a trailer for the Direct

Sackboy is a shorter game so hopefully I can if not much gets in the way then I can get into disco elysium. I’ll probably look up a guide to follow some progress at least like I’ve been doing for some games
I've been occasionally glancing at a guide for Earthbound if I get lost and my experience playing through it has been great. I fully support using guides if the lack of direction is actively taking a toll on your enjoyment of the game

I think it will probably be announced next Tuesday and then air at the end of the month, but it doesn't matter because it will probably leak over the weekend, maybe even the hardware. As we saw with Not-E3, no matter how hard you try, you can't prevent leaks these days.

Definitely helpful for sackboy as you need to find these dreamer orbs to unlock later parts of the worlds and there are orbs hidden in each levels. I’ve read you need 160 to get to the final boss

The clearest, most surefire way to properly determine if we're experiencing Direct fever is when my post count in these speculation threads skyrockets from middle of the pack to top 7-8 posters in a matter of days lmao. Like clockwork every 4 months, love it

GCN for NSO won't be anything we see this generation. If NSO is a thing in the next-generation of Nintendo hardware, then we may see them introduce the platform on that.
Is this a personal opinion of yours or do you know something about this?

For me it would make sense to introduce GCN , since they want to grow this as big as a Game Pass system or PS Plus system…

I don't think Nintendo ever really announce directs more than a couple of days out unless there is a treehouse live. I'm guessing announcement on the 26th/27th like normal.

Do people really think there's going to be a treehouse live?

I think the issue is the way NSO systems currently work. They're apps that house all the games within them, but since they're older games the individual filesizes are quite small, making the apps themselves manageably small. SNES NSO is 225MB, N64 is 639MB. But GameCube games took a leap. I checked Mario Sunshine and the Star Fox games and they're 1.3GB each. An app that houses multiple GCN games would take up a significant chunk of space on the Switch, and would grow very quickly with each update added.

So GCN games would either have to be delivered in a completely different way than what NSO currently does, or like Nate suggested, possibly wait for the next generation where storage will be larger and faster.

Liva A Live intrigues me because it's the first 2DHD game I've seen that has color. Both Octopath and Triangle are all brown and dark which isn't at all how RPGs of the time they try to emulate look.
Oh God I love those things so much. although this is one of the tamer "leaks" and frankly would disappoint me. None of the fake leakers understand Nintendo. It's all F-Zeroes and Primes. Remember how the actual real leak from 4chan was noticed because it had shit like MILK? Wish more crusty jpeg men and greentext leakers would emulate that.

I told you guys and gals that shit was going to intentionally and unintentionally going to start leaking. There's more to come, unfortunately.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up for the hardware leaking. Or the direct. I don’t think there’s anything that makes this direct any more likely to leak than the others.

Sony leaking Tactics and Reddit leaking FE doesn’t mean the rest is coming.

You could very easily do a GCN app where you just have to go in and download the games on demand. There’s no reason that they have to all be ready to play immediately.

I wouldn’t rule it out completely on Switch. Those retro libraries generate revenue through subscriptions, and Nintendo gets that subscription whether you’re playing on Switch or Super Switch or whatever the next thing is.

Nintendo has been trending on twitter for a couple of days now. I am terrified to think of what NateDrake's notifications must be.
