By ages 5 and 6 most children will start to sing in the traditional sense, when they'll be able to carry a tune consistently and sing with steady rhythm; some children will develop these abilities as early as ages 3 to 4 (Moog 1976) (Sloboda 1976).
makes sense that magic-bb doesn't care about rhythm heaven

I genuinely don’t understand how some people can show aggression towards kind and thoughtful people who share information that fuels excitement and conversation

Rhythm Heaven fans when the song is 3 minutes of a cartoon monkey going "Bonk Bonk Whee!" to a generic beat:

rhythm heaven and elite beat agents fans being the public enemies on famiboards is more than what any F-zero fan could dream of

yall don't have magic man on ignore??? after everything he said about subway??? smh you do it to yourself

i don't actually have anyone on ignore

Please don't be dismissive of other members, especially if you have nothing else to contribute to the conversation - paranoodle, hologram, Donnie, Aurc
I should share the date to make people here feel joy? No.

I sat on the date because it can put partners in jeopardy. My contacts are more important that the small community of never satisfied, constantly angry, pessimistic folks that gather here. If someone else happens to leak the date, I can then confirm the date since the information is out there. There's nothing to protect.

Look at how many latched on to June 15 for the Direct. Did I? Nope. Why? Because it was never that date. If this window was wrong, then, I would have said it didn't match what I was hearing, too.

I've implied "late June" since May.

This forum has had members attack myself and Emily. Do you think we can't just leave or stopped sharing? Test us. You'll lose.
lol

The main differences from Nate:
next FE is not being made by the Three Houses team but is a collab between IS and Gust who are assisting with visuals
No mention of the red/blue and returning characters stuff.
Also an FE4 remake being made fully internally at IS(not sure if Nate corroborates this part or not)
Nate was the one who specified that it was an FE4 remake developed internally at IS in the first place. Emily never said who it was developed by, or even what game was being remade. All she acknowledged was that an in-development remake exists.

Personally, I'm hoping both games are being mainly developed internally at IS (with the former having Gust support ofc), and that 3H's development structure was a one-off project due to IS not having enough resources at the time or something. Given that Gust is still a KT studio anyway, it's still possible/likely for Nate's info to be accurate imo, including his remake info (FE4, developed fully by IS, ambitious, realistic/mature artstyle, etc.).

Steam and PS5 versions of the Persona games announced yesterday were just confirmed (albeit with no release date) so I think this strengthens the theory that the Switch versions will be announced in the Direct

Someone had to take Brock's place ;)

Seriously though I've never played Earthbound.
Fair enough. Now you just need to go around saying you want Silksong to be a three-hour action game.

I haven't played Omori. But these Earthbound-inspired contemporary games have my appreciation, especially since the Mother franchise is dead. I loved Undertale and I am excited to jump into Deltarune once that's compete. Maybe I need to look into Omori eventually.

I like Earthbound. It can be grindy sometimes, but i like its humour and originality. A very charming game
Yeah, the grindy portions towards the late part of the game are what keeps me from saying it's a masterpiece.

It's great to see the thread moving on from the drama I slept through, but just a pleasant reminder this thread already has a mod warning on it for exactly that kind of drama. We've got plenty of things to talk about without obsessing over who believes who and I don't think we need either more angry exclamations of how we need to protect Nate and Emily (because all members of the community are, will be, and should be protected from unnecessary abuse - please report things when the line is crossed and give a clear explanation of why you feel a line has been crossed) and we also don't need drive-by postings to show your Big Adult Wise Skepticism About Insider Cult Culture. The former is well intended but misguided; the latter is frankly pathetic and contributes nothing other than hostility and division.

Also, if anybody genuinely does find that gaming rumours have a detrimental effect on their mental health, please seek help from a friend, family member, counsellor. I'm not saying this to be mean, because mental health care is a vital part of self-care: but if you become so attached to online rumours that they are genuinely detrimental to your wellbeing then you do need to find a way to regain some perspective and balance in life. For most people here, that isn't an issue, despite a handful of users thoughtlessly throwing words around like "cult". But at least one person posted about their mental health in that whole saga and so this is open advice to anyone who feels like that - and who knows, perhaps some of our many lurkers feel that way too (hello! I see you, in a non-threatening way).

In the absence of a support network like that (because sadly, not all of us have those things, or have access to healthcare), you might like to try a simple reflective model for some calm introspection (why do I feel this way? What can I change? What's going well? What's going badly? What do I want to happen? - simple stuff folks and it helps when you're distressed), before you take to the Internet and externalise and attach your emotions to something that is ultimately inconsequential (even if videogames, like any form or art or entertainment, are a valuable outlet and form of support, rumours about them shouldn't be).

Anyway, lots of love and joy to you all.

None of this is serious btw just in case you couldn't tell

In the last Kit&Krysta show they talked about their expectations for the next Nintendo Direct, and they talk explicitly about how Nintendo is clearly trying to distance themselves from Geoff’s Summer Game Fest. Is it true? What’s the reason? This info matches completely the late date of this Direct.
Yet despite that, one of them predicted the 15th😂

Mostly agree here, but there's an implicaiton here that we're circling the wagons for no reason or showing favoritism. Nate/Emily has had to deal with harassment for years from the old forum to here often for the same frivolous reasons like the MP Trilogy rumor not coming true and people feeling personally offended by it. They were signled out for support by many posters not because they were special but because they've been targets. Everytime they share something there's the usual drive bys

all of this but unironically

Plum's post from above is legendary.

I finished playing StarTropics for the first time not too long ago. What a weird little game that one is. But it's still fun enough.

It would be nice if the Portal Collection was at least dated in this Direct. Can't wait to play Portal 1 again and Portal 2 for the first time
