When will the next Direct air?

I still think that next week if there is a Direct, if not next week it will be the last one of the month because I don't think Nintendo will step on Fire Emblem Three Hopes Marketing.
I know @NateDrake said there wouldn't be, but if they want to be next to other events like E3 it should be on the 15th of this month.

If there's a new Fire Emblem coming out this fiscal year, then it will probably get a new trailer on the next Direct. Three Houses appeared on multiple Directs before it was finally released, so i doubt it would only show up in September and then be released in, say, January or February. The franchise has grown substantially. The thing is, could it be revealed before Three Hopes comes out?

I think it'd best not to hang on to every word of someone who, for legal purposes, has to be oblique

however, there not being a Direct next week is pretty easy to believe, as worst case we'll simply be pleasantly surprised
 
I could see them doing a dedicated Direct for the Mario Film + Other Media stuff outside of gaming, but not necessarily next week.
 
speculation is fun, but it’s really a lot better and healthier to not hype yourself up too much for an event that might not even happen.

especially when people tend to get angry every year when they don’t see something that was never officially announced or promised in the first place.

not responding to anyone in particular, it’s just what I tend to think about the hype/annoucnement (or lack thereof) cycles

If that insider has a great track record, isnt it more ridiculous to be purposely obtuse and ignore what they say? Like he’s been right about directs, knows the direct date, it’s absurd at this point to just assume he’s lying
 
Is it kinda strange that both Microsoft and Sony announced their events in advance, but Nintendo hasn't?

Interestingly, IGN’s NVC crew in yesterday’s video talked about this upcoming Direct and they also expected it later in the month. Kat specifically asked at some point if we would see it before the last week of June. Maybe they’re just going off rumors that originated here, but there’s always a possibility they’ve heard rumblings as well.

I try not to regulate chat, so my phrasing was a bit strong. What I really should've said, as my own, is that nothing interesting will happen for over a week and that I recommend people give up until then for their own sakes

edit: also given that you have posted only 100 times since October, you are definitely not the target audience of my advice lol
 
It does suck when you have your hopes up high for “this is the week we’re getting the direct after all this wait”, only to hear you have to wait another week. It can be deflating.
 
Well, no choice but to keep myself busy, which shouldn't be a problem. I've got a good week coming up, and some games I'm excited to return to.

Yeah the speculation part definitely is strong this past few days. But I guess people are just really hungry rn!
 
The way I see it, this is just the waiting room for the Direct. I don't need to know how long I'm gonna wait exactly.

Wait. The Microsoft presentation where Silksong may be announced is tomorrow? I am always out of the loop when it comes to the stuff other companies do, so if that's the case then I am excited! I might even sit down and watch it if I am taking a break from Mario Strikers.
