When will the next Direct air?

…but then, something happened. My grandpa showed me a clip of an old comedian. I’m not joking, by the way.

He was making a joke about numbers hidden in words. Like how “wonderful” sounds like “one-derful”, and how “lieutenant” has “ten” in it.

Then the whole thing was thrown on its head. I had to test it.

It makes perfect sense. “The answer rests within the question.” If a word is hiding a number in the sounds it makes… then that may very well be the answer.

And what word is the most suspicious? Which word could be there to throw us off? Which word could be a distraction… to hide the real hint?

That would be the most anti-climactic thing ever. Nintendo dropping DLC unannounced without fanfare in the middle of the night? That ain't happening.

The good thing about Nintendo's online games is that they are played by lots of kids, so one can always squeeze in a few victories regardless of their skill level. But then, defeating kids is not really something to be proud of.... hahahahaha

Plus, that also means one might end up actually being defeated by a very skilled six-year-old, which is embarrassing!

I guess in the end there is no glory to be had there, just shame in both victory and defeat. :p

Before my speculation, I was pretty firm that the Direct would be next week, or the week after. I actually remember saying there was about a 10% chance it gets revealed tomorrow.

But… my theory has provided me with hope. If you don’t think so, I totally respect that and realize I sound like I’m crazy.

Now I’m a lot more hopeful 😀 JUNE 8 HYPE TRAIN

It's not like the first wave, all waves are now unlocked for everyone once the game is patched, they can't stagger the release like last time

It's happened before, heck, MK8D got a random shadow drop of content before in the form of the BOTW Link and Master Cycle. Maybe they aren't even adding wave 2, maybe they're adding some other additional content, I'd be all for some new racers and car parts

Nate is from America, where they display dates as MM/DD. Mathematically, 6/22 is 27.27%.

Though it's worth noting, @Awesomegames23, that this could also be read as June 2022. Given that one of the times that he said it was in June someone asked what year, I could totally see this being a cheeky retort

Directs just bring me so much joy. I always want to know when the next one is.

And yes like you said, it’s all in good fun. If I’m wrong, who actually cares? Then my post is forgotten after a few days and we move on.

But if I’m right, then we have even more fun knowing the clue was solved!
 
Stop putting so much effort into your fun speculation posts. Famiboards only has a limited amount of characters, you don't wanna use them up.

Yeah. I’ve been plenty wrong in the past. I don’t give a crap lol. People forget all the speculation we do for years and years. It’s all in good fun and we only do this kind of speculation 3 times a year.

Honestly, because there’s no E3 makes this speculation even more fun.

I dunno I enjoyed that at least once a year we knew when we were going to get something fun well ahead of time. I'd have been happy to have this speculation just be around 'what's going to be there?'

You know what I'm just generally bitter that we don't have a consolidated few days of news anymore. Gamer Christmas is gone.

Noooo dude, your research and dedication was awesome. Reading it felt like watching the montage from one of those mystery tv shows and the bit with your grandpa was like the part when everything finally clicks for the main character.
