Just caught up on the Scorcese/Netflix story. Calling The Irishman a "vanity project" is such a deranged take directed at one of the few people who have dedicated their lives to make world cinema more widely accessible for people.
 
State of Plays/Game Awards is always something I've been able to watch live, but this is the first time an SoP has happened while I'm having a job. Which is cool in that regard, of course!

Looking forward to waking up tomorrow to some news, hopefully that XVI trailer.

I think it’s assumed that it was to get Sun/Moon out for the 20th anniversary, but GF have never commented on it as far as I know.

With there being unused game IDs for two Kalos games, the XYZ anime arc beginning in Late 2015, and the Zygarde forms being thrown into SM, it was almost definitely planned at one point.

It makes complete sense! Samus is famously an animal lover, between Pyonchi, the last Metroid, the Etecoons and Dachoras, and Pikachu. Orbulon knows the character he's playing. Release the Samus and Lechonk spinoff.

This isn’t exactly shocking, but what is shocking to me is this article in general. The headline makes it sound like this website did an interview with Team Cherry, but they didn’t. It comes from Keighly, who “talked to” Team Cherry. So dualshockers.com must have interviewed Keighly then, right? Nope! Gamespot did. So Dualshockers is taking one part of an interview another news site did with Keighly, that amounts to nothing but (likely true) hearsay, and are making an article out of it for clicks.

This is pretty much me. In my case I didn't even try to watch the new stuff. I didn't really want any new Star Wars movies to begin with. I love the OT and PT along with a bunch of the classic games and a lot of the eu books. After JJ Abrams did what he did with Star Trek I had no desire to watch him reboot another Sci-fi series. I knew things would end badly so decided to preemptively get off the train. Still enjoy the pre 2012 stuff, have the Blu rays and 4k77, 83, and waiting for the full release on 4k80 to do a big rewatch.

But seriously, when I have the hiccups what usually works is expelling as much air out of my lungs as possible, then waiting ten seconds or so before breathing again. It’s not 100% foolproof but I can usually get the hiccups to stop eventually.

I've been really into watching these cambodian dudes make houses and pools in the jungle. Like I know they don't just use the tools they show and probably use heavy machinery off camera but its fascinating to me

My wife teases me about this but hiccups are the god damn worst. They can be intensely painful and last hours for me.

Usually what works for me is drinking like 9 or 10 sips of water slowly in one motion, like bring a cup up to your mouth and slowly sip out of it 9 or 10 times in a row.
 
I just learned that hiccoughs is a word apparently? I thought I was cultured but now must reevaluate my life.

I was shocked twice by them. I guess you could say that they are some kind of dual shockers.

I can relate, last Direct was the first one I missed live due to work.
