It's not confirmed but is expected to be traditional for PvP reasons , Arceus battle system is unviable for PvP without heavy changes

Generally speaking in the PokΓ©mon online community people like Mega evo more than they like Z-Moves or Dynamax.

i was kinda expecting a longer, overview type trailer but i guess it's too soon for that.

The hate was only pre-release of people calling them Digimons , after release most people just wanted and speculated more megas
 
Honestly, I'm okay with them not showing much. It gives us more to look forward (gym leaders, more Pokemon, whatever the gimmick is).

So by going for Pokemon Violet I get gigachad professor and a legendary that's a a snake with jet engines for legs.

Hell yeah.
 
Underwhelming trailer for me but hopefully that's not indicative of a lack of iterative improvements in the game itself. Bring on the E3 announcement next week pls.

Also Violet is the clear winner for me, professor and legendary are vastly superior imo

Not sure how anyone could walk away from that trailer majorly disappointed unless they missed the first one.
 
Has Pokemon ever gotten the spotlight during the Treehouse at E3? They could show more there.

I think perhaps I've just grown out of mainline Pokemon (excluding Arceus) but I'm really glad the people who were mostly likely to buy this in the first place are loving it!

Ha that wasn't an @ to you more some of the twitter response, I think being underwhelmed is a totally fair take. Rather I just don't understand people who were expecting things clearly shown not to be the case from the first trailer
 
I absolutely love the idea of a Spain-based PokΓ©mon, and the character and PokΓ©mon design seems on point, but it looks like its such a step-back from Arceus... I really hope we won't lose too much of the whole fluidity in terms of capturing, combat and traversal.

No voice acting, subpar visuals, and seemingly confirmation that everything I liked about PLA is gone? I’m disappointed.
 
I guess Scarlet & Violet are "transitional" games for people who liked Legends, much like Let's Go were for the PokΓ©mon GO crowd, huh?
