I've been struggling to get into something new that really hooks me the way Kirby did. Finished my 21st game yesterday (Eiyuden Chronicle Rising) but most of the great games I've played this year have been replays. And now I'm playing Ace Combat 7 again...

Question for any wiser than I...am I overpaying for this 512gb card for $65? I know I've seen 512gb cards for $50 before so idk.

If I'm overpaying because that one's faster than the Switch can even utilize, I may be okay with it banking on it possibly being 'future-proofed' for a new Switch.
Not too bad of a price; converting to CAD is about $83 and that's about what I paid when Amazon had a flash sale around October or November last year for a SanDisk UHS-I

Kirby, Pokemon Legends and Triangle Strategy are the only 2022 games I've played so far. Kirby and TS I loved, Legends I wasn't that fussed about.

Next month is when the New Stuff For MisterSpo really kicks off, though. Yessss.

What evil did I commit in a past life that's cursed me with an endless supply of cautious optimism in Sonic Team?
The last Sonic Team game I had faith in was Lost World nearly a decade ago. And uh.. yeah I didn't even finish that one. In case that gives context to why I'm so happy to be looking forward to Frontiers. Doesn't even matter to me if it turns out good or not, it just feels great to finally have faith again.

I should finally start Triangle Strategy but I'm not really feeling turn-based gameplay lately. Maybe TS will get me back again...

While your lobbying efforts were excellent, I'm sad to report that Heroes III does not work on Mac M1, even through CrossOver (Civ IV does, so there's that).

I'm still puzzled by the fact that Ubi hired Dotemu to make a remaster of Heroes III only to drop it three years later. This game deserves to be on every platform on the market.

I'm on Chapter 4 of a Golden Deer run of Three Houses. I want to finish each house before Three Hopes hits in a few weeks and I should be able to make it with time to spare provided there aren't major distractions...

Funny thing about Lost World is, that was a game I enjoyed through and through, and I initially had absolute zero expectations, because I wouldn't trust Sonic Team to deliver.. then, they returned with the Boost gameplay right after.. So I consider that just a fluke and nothing else;

I won't ever take away people's enjoyment of things, but quite frankly, Frontiers looks the complete antithesis of what like of a Sonic game (especially art direction.. or lack of one, better saying)

I will admit, while I am defending the more bland-real art direction in the Sonic thread, I did appreciate the art direction in Lost World. I think what lost (heh) me was that the trailers that heavily featured the first zone had me thinking it'd be the spiritual successor to Sonic X-Treme, which it definitely was not. And the controls were just different enough to trip me up (though I too am done with boost-style gameplay), and I didn't like the bosses.
I honestly really wanted to like Lost World though, I think it was just a case of my expectations betraying me. I'm glad it worked out well for you. That's the goofy thing about the Sonic franchise, there are wild swings from game to game so some fans love one and some fans love the other. It's crazy how the series has that much.. variety? In a way?

Anyway looking forward to that full trailer tomorrowwwww
(and hopefully this month-long blowout IGN's doing will give us enough info to know whether we should be looking forward to the Switch version yet or not 👀)

thread made it to 8K+ posts before its demise, impressive

next month's thread should be fun

I have Lost World sitting in the backlog, and I’m actually excited for when I get around to playing it. It looks fun.

The two big drops today have triggered me into E3 mode and I keep F5ing here

I don't know how I never grabbed that back on the Wii U, especially after the Zelda DLC
I actually only got it recently. I paid about $40 shipped on eBay for a CIB copy, which seems a bit high to me. I expected to pay around $20 for Lost World, but Wii U games are starting to climb in price (just like everything else I guess).

The first thing I did after receiving it was download the Zelda DLC.

The final hours of the Kirby event are here and so is my last plug for it! If you already played and 100%'ed 64 on NSO that right there is a badge and enters you for a chance to win a copy of 4 different Switch games.

After months and months of trying, I am so happy to say I got a Nintendo 64 NSO Controller. Took almost a full year to get it, but I wasn’t about to pay $100+ from a reseller. I’m so very happy about it! I’ve played some N64 NSO with the Switch Pro Controller, but something about it just doesn’t click right fully with me.
