Wish we could get Gundam warriors on switch
There hasn’t been any new title since 2014 so I’d consider the series pretty much dead especially when One Piece Warriors 5 would probably be the priority in case of a new KT X Banco game . It would be cool to get them ported though maybe a Trilogy collection?

Installed Civ IV just for the hell of it and started a game with random parameters. The plan was to try it for 10 minutes to take me back to my college days mid 00s. 6 hours later, I rule half of Earth…

Not to mention that for an action style game they would probably first go for another gundam breaker

Ahh IV... Towns, vassals, land grab, easier to spread religions, corporations... It had a lot that I miss in Civ 6.

I understand Obi-Wan but again, he declares that it's over even though the dynamic of the fight hasn't change (in a way that makes sense). They are evenly matched throughout and they are still evenly matched up to the very end. Nothing in the dynamic of the fight has changed to swing things considerably in Ob-Wan's favor. It's at stalemate other than Obi-Wan having the high ground but based on what we saw throughout the fight, that shouldn't be a substantial advantage. That's the fundamental issue with the scene.

What you are saying is not at odds with what I'm saying

I just finished episode 5 of Stranger Things, and holy shit I think I can safely say this finally has exceeded the highs of what the first season pulled off.

The wait was worth it.

I'm not sure why, but I lost most of my interest in Stranger Things. Perhaps it's because these are adults playing high schoolers.
Still more believable than Riverdale, admittedly

When getting past the title screen is the most difficult thing about a game the Dark Souls of title screens if you will

You know a site is on the path to destruction when it gets video ads lol, glad we are safe from that here
Can't be as bad as what Fandom wikis get. If you view those sites without adblock, you're just asking for 3 different animated ads going at the same time, all uncloseable.

Decided to try new NSO star Congo’s Caper. It’s fun but kinda finnicky, hitboxes are whack and it often feels you miss platforms you shouldn’t miss…

If anyone here tries it, please be aware that L is a run button. Took me way too long to notice that.

Holy shit, Stranger Things is incredible. Two episodes in and this shit is terrifying. The previous seasons ain’t got nothing on what’s going on here. Gotdamn.
Right there with ya, I've just started the new season and holy moly it slaps hard.
The way it captures the era, the use of music, the characterization and acting, the scares, the sense of mystery, all excellent. So many great shows lose their mojo as their success leads to more and more seasons, it's so refreshing to see one hold strong.

I'm pacing myself with one episode every other day so I have something to keep me sane during the whole where-oh-where-is-the-June-Direct rollercoaster which is absolutely doing my anxiety-ridden head in and looks like it will slowly rob me of my sanity over the following weeks lmao.

I still think ST Season 3 was better so far, but...
The Creel/001/Vecna twist was absolutely nuts and one of the best twists I've seen in a show. Brought everything full circle.

This kind of meme makes me wonder if I’m even a gamer

Is this the actual state of videogame culture, are voice acting and storyline really core values

Only two aspects that got anything to do with gameplay and even then not every game is an action game

Anyway answer is Hades, oh Kid Icarus Uprising too ofc

Also the sandwich looks disgusting, wouldn’t eat even if I’m starving

They are to me. A game will never be perfect without voice acting and a good story.

Was busy reading about how Swedes don't feed their guests so I missed the rest of the spinoff discussion and couldn't make a snarky post about new IPs but I'll get you next time, fami.

I think the only game I would give that too would be Metroid Prime 1.

don’t think the lack of voice acting or major story should disqualify certain games. But I’m sure that tweets doesn’t mean too. Prime 1 is the only game I I played where I would consider tagging it perfect.

5 out of my top 10 games ever have zero voice acting. And only two of them have what I’d call a “good” story. Heck, one one of them has literally no story (Tetris).

I mean, yes? You play a game like xenoblade of course story is going to be a key factor to you. So is Kid Icarus for example. Or Mother. And those are a just few nintendo examples.

Chrono Trigger
Link to the Past
Donkey Kong Country 2
Sonic 3&K
Super Metroid

Just wanted to see if I had five voiceless GOATs as well. 👍

I watched Avatar for the first time ever.

It was good. But not something I’ll want to rewatch nor really remember much. But time well spent. Don’t think I’ll catch the sequel in theaters, will probably wait for streaming in the future.

Watching Avatar back in 2009. in cinema was really great, I rewatch movie last year and didnt aged best.

Top Gun Maverick is so good that I almost forgot that
1) this will be used as a recruitment tool for the US Air Force just like the original
2) Tom Cruise turns fucking 60 this year

Now excuse me while I go play Ace Combat 7.

Yall I got invited to a friend's house tonight and they had me play Overcooked..?

I used to think I was good at video games.

Tonight was eye-opening.

Games don't even need a storyline or voice acting at all to be great.

Some of the best games ever made have little to no storytelling.
More often than not, I get bored of storytelling in video games, especially if it is conveyed through frequent and long-ass cutscenes. Not a fan of the cinematic approach. Environmental storytelling, on the other hand, is great.

I never understood the hype for “playable” movies. For me, gaming is something else. I guess movies have been the benchmark for video and sound but it doesn’t help if the game sounds and looks awesome but is boring to play.

Some of the best games ever don't even need gameplay.

Also, "replay value" is weird. I've replayed games that I love to bits, sure, but there are other games that are incredible as one-off experiences.

To be honest I think dividing storytelling and gameplay completely is a weird way of analysing video games. Lots of great games are mostly storytelling and relatively little interaction compared to other greats that basically have no narrative, it just being there to have some kind of incentive to finish the game. I'm not
even sure what people mean when they talk about story in games. Do they mean cutscenes and dialogue boxes only? The main story? Any NPC dialogue?
I would say all of those are "story" also including the world and how you interact with it and characters. I love Dragon Quest stories not because of the overarching plot but because of all the NPC conversations, party talk and the towns.

Not sure if my point makes sense here, I might take the time to write a couple of paragraphs that are a little more refined soon lol

Tbh the problem ain't that voice acting or storyline are core values in certain video games now. It's just a lot of studios seem forced to do some big, Prestige Games, even when they're poorly written – ahem, TLOU. If the gameplay is very good, you don't need a story ; if the story's really well written, you don't mind subpar gameplay (looking at you Origami King).

But of course the answer to the tweet is Yakuza 7

Nobody to blame but themselves. Numerous shambolic decisions, even aport from the obvious „cutting off from Nintendo“ strategy, is just making life unnecessarily difficult and is hardly gonna let you keep yourself afloat. What a huge, huge shame.

The problem is that video game writing and VA peaked with Resident Evil 4 and everyone else has been desperately trying to catch up since.
