My gaming quirk is that I dislike fast travel options that don’t give an actual explanation as to why the characters can travel so quickly. I don’t mind the teleportation in BotW (but I also don’t use it) because there’s an animation to go with it. Same with Zoom in Dragon Quest and Teleport in FFXIV. In Xenoblade, however, I walk everywhere until Ch13, where I’ve headcanoned that the party could reasonably have access to vehicles by then, and only fast travel between towns.

I do this as well... but then I got bored of walking and started using fast travel without any reservations and it's so much better, even if it breaks immersion.

In Skyrim though I walked everywhere and it was fun since Skyrim has random events that can happen on the road so there's more to do while walking than in Xenoblade 1.

I think my score is 39. I actually thought it'd be higher but oh well.

It amazes though me that the 2 Nintendo lists made here get rid of the entire Rare catalogue except for DK, those are important games of Nintendo's history.

I was only including stuff that Nintendo currently owns and has been involved in. I could have thrown in some Rare stuff like Banjo-Kazooie, but it would have been at the cost of other series that actually are still Nintendo-owned, so it felt wrong. =P

I'm a Nintendo fan but there are a ton of Nintendo games I haven't played or have no interest in. I don't play the Mario Sports games. Don't like Mario Party. I'm very casual when it comes to Mario Kart. Heck, I don't even own most of the 2D Mario games. Not a big Donkey Kong fan. Rhythm Heaven isn't my thing. Haven't touched Clubhouse games. Didn't buy Wii Sports Resort or Nintendo Switch Sports. Still haven't picked up Kirby yet.

But that's all alright. I think developing a wide selection of games in different genres is good. That means not everything a company makes will be for me but I'm still getting very exciting games that are for my particular tastes.

I got a minute and a half in before closing the tab. I’ve seen some of his previous work, and he came off as being the kind of guy making videos for like a preteen/early teen audience. He censored his swearing and tended to focus on Nintendo, a family-friendly company. He had big “kids TV presenter“ energy. I’m not saying it was all totally safe for kids but it was never like, AVGN levels of vulgar. I don’t want to make wild accusations or anything about the guy. I don’t know him and never will... But someone who goes from making ostensibly child/minor-approachable videos to heavily fixated on sex/virginity like this is highly suspicious to me. In a “people are going to look back at this content and say ‘the warning signs were there’“ kinda way.

Like, maybe dude just wanted to pivot to making more crude content, which, if he wants to do that, sure. I’m not going to tell him what he can and can’t make/publish. And I have no idea what his audience demographics look like. Maybe all of his fans are over 25 or something. But he never came off that way to me, he always seemed to make videos that anyone of any age (maybe of any age like, 12 years old and up) can watch and enjoy. So starting a video like that? At the very least, to me, that’s pretty irresponsible, and at worst, highly alarming.

Maybe I’m just an old man. Anyway, it’s also not funny at all.

Even if there's an explanation later, I'm just predisposed to click away anytime "virgin" becomes the subject of comedy online because it reeks of weird 4chan incel humor.

But that's just me. I respond strongly to some things that others might not. 🤷‍♂️

according to scott the censorship of swears is for comedic effect, and his content is not meant for children

I'd be very curious to see his numbers, though

This is me but with life. Beers and socialising absolutely wipes me out, even if it's deliberately moderate drinking.

Spent the morning grazing and watching the Simpsons, so gonna head out for a few hours work and then kick off the weekend. Might even pick up take out pizza as a treat for Obi Wan Kenobi tonight.

(To watch the show with; I'm not buying pizza for a jedi to eat)

Probably just feeling the after effects of that stress migraine from yesterday, maybe. Either way I want to play something, just don't feel like it

Same this week but I want to complete some of the Kirby challenges before the month is up, so I've been managing and sometimes turn around during a play session

funny enough as the host of the event this is exactly why I don't regularly like achievements or my relationship with completing games lol.. at least there's a chance of the prize with this!

We need to start getting rich and famous people buying the common person pizza. Always irritates me when people say something like, “That guy will never have to buy another beer in this town again,” when it’s some sports guy that wins a championship or something.

It's not as big of a focus past the first few minutes. It is an ongoing self-deprecating joke about him. It doesn't hit for me, personally, but I think a lot of his other material is pretty funny.

Really? I just had some the other day for the first time in a LONG time and it was probably the best thing I've ever had there. It now has some toasted cheese or something mixed in with it like you might get on baked man cheese and it's surprisingly good.

I have a lot of home made pasta in the freezer, so I'd probably get fried chicken if I went for Popeye's...

I see, this is more encouraging. There are too many choices here in the States; most of the time I need to stick to a healthy diet because of the whole illness thing but today I feel a treat coming on.

Truth be told it was some low-quality bait 😋 But I'm honestly surprised it's improved that much in the couple years since I've had it. Typically I'm more of a Mary Brown's type of dude myself if I want fried chicken

Their chicken strips are decent, their chicken sandwich rocks. Best fast-food chain chicken sandie I've had. But where they really shine is their Blackened Ranch dressing. I'll get a spicy chicken sandwich combo, have one blackened ranch to dip the fries in, and another to douse on the sandwich. It's fantastic.
