just call in sick the day-of hahaIt really sucks not knowing the date ahead of time, I’m running out of time to request off work and wondering if I should just take a chance on the 14th

Take the day off and just have a day off to look forward to. It does suck potentially missing the live stream as they are fun to react to and enjoy here, but people will still be excited to talk about it afterwards if the games are good.It really sucks not knowing the date ahead of time, I’m running out of time to request off work and wondering if I should just take a chance on the 14th

It's a fun period because there are so many potential announcements Nintendo could make in June, and also because, immediately around the Direct, the Switch exclusives calendar really kicks off in earnest this year.
There's a lot that could be shown properly for the first time:
- Metroid Prime HD
- Metroid Prime 4
- EPD 8's 3D game
- EPD 8's 2D game
- EPD 10's 2D game
- Grezzo's next game
- Good-Feel's next game
- New Fire Emblem
- Remake Fire Emblem
- maybe even EPD 9 have made a game
- Detective Pikachu Switch
- Wildcards
Obvious reminder that I'm not for one second saying we see all this; but these are all candidates.
I feel like 2 or 3 out of that list, plus something unexpected, have a shot.Yea, even with all that we know and "know" for 2022, there is still plenty behind the curtain. I don't think we will get too much from that list announced at E3/June direct. There is already so much announced that will make an appearance and that doesn't include 3rd party stuff which will be talked about.
The Jan/Feb 2023 direct could be an all timer.....
Going by your list, I figure we get at least one, if not both Prime games mentioned. One of the Fire Emblem games is possible if it close to release.I feel like 2 or 3 out of that list, plus something unexpected, have a shot.
This missed announcement of announcing Direct in advance might be the biggest insult by a major gaming company in the past decade. I literally screamed "FUCK YOU" at my screen. I knew it wasn't set in stone that they would announce a Direct in advance when there is no E3 but the hype they created made me think they were just going to surprise us with it anyway. Absolutely unacceptable to do this to us. Once they knew Direct announcement in advance was expected, they should've just done it.

Delfin RingWould be really funny if Nintendo went all out on an open world Mario Sunshine sequel.
It was Halo for Switch.Im not concerned on what people’s definition of a miracle is in this instance. I wanted to know from Nate did his miracle games come out or not. I think it’s a 2 year old rumor.
Indeed, that would qualify. It was Halo for Switch.
I mean, I can see thatI remember that leak, they also thought Cappy in the Odyssey logo was an airplane lol
ever since the DS, those pitches have been dropped. MS plsIt was Halo for Switch.
A full fledged Bowser's Fury sequel set in Sunshine's world would be amazing honestly.Would be really funny if Nintendo went all out on an open world Mario Sunshine sequel.
MS is the one that wanted to make it happen. Developers were shopped for.ever since the DS, those pitches have been dropped. MS pls
Portable halo was a long time dream of mine, sighMS is the one that wanted to make it happen. Developers were shopped for.
It could still happen. But haven't heard anything about it in a long, long time.

Fascinating. Cool that the impetus was MS. Do you know which game(s) they had in mind or just “Halo”?MS is the one that wanted to make it happen. Developers were shopped for.
It could still happen. But haven't heard anything about it in a long, long time.
It bums me out when someone makes a really long and thoughtful writeup, with low stakes and zero controversy, post it, and immediately remove it because someone nitpicks one sentence instead of engaging with them. I see this happen a lotHow does Bowsers Fury influence a 3D DK game? I'm so confused. It's literally 3D World but open world.
Thinking about buying Xbox Series S, for less than $300 and with Game Pass, looks like great deal.
We need some DC in Direct too. That rumored Batman Arkham games should be at the next Direct, been a while since it was leaked.Thinking about Midnight Suns again. Would be a perfect fit for the Direct. Life is Strange Remastered too.
unless there isn't a june directHot damn, it really is getting close to a June Direct, isn't it??
