It really sucks not knowing the date ahead of time, I’m running out of time to request off work and wondering if I should just take a chance on the 14th 😭

Yeah… not knowing the Date sucks but even worse is not knowing if they do any June Direct 😰

Also this Week has to be so lackluster in the Newsfront in General.

Also, I gonna watch the Direct during Work, the best Thing is, I work in a Videogame Store😜

Take the day off and just have a day off to look forward to. It does suck potentially missing the live stream as they are fun to react to and enjoy here, but people will still be excited to talk about it afterwards if the games are good.

It's a fun period because there are so many potential announcements Nintendo could make in June, and also because, immediately around the Direct, the Switch exclusives calendar really kicks off in earnest this year.

There's a lot that could be shown properly for the first time:

  • Metroid Prime HD
  • Metroid Prime 4
  • EPD 8's 3D game
  • EPD 8's 2D game
  • EPD 10's 2D game
  • Grezzo's next game
  • Good-Feel's next game
  • New Fire Emblem
  • Remake Fire Emblem
  • maybe even EPD 9 have made a game
  • Detective Pikachu Switch
  • Wildcards

Obvious reminder that I'm not for one second saying we see all this; but these are all candidates.

Hey yall, I‘m here with a new BS 4Chan Leak!

• Cold Open on a new BOTW2 trailer: shows off some new vistas while zelda gives a speech detailing some story elements. Name and logo revealed.
• Aonuma again apologizes for the delay while briefly discussing the meaning of the title before announcing The Legend of Zelda: Oracles, a remake that combines both Oracle games into one adventure from Grezzo.
• Segues into GBC coming to switch online, GBA is part of the expansion pass, GBC has 15 titles, GBA has 10.
New Mario Kart courses revealed, expansion pass shilled
• Two rather short trailers from Square-Enix for Live A Live and Dragon Quest 3 HD2D Remake.
• Xenoblade 3 "overview" trailer
Metroid prime 4 trailer, release date 2023
Bayonetta 3 trailer and release date of August 2022
• Mario and Rabbids 2
• Marvel's Midnight Suns
• indie/third party sizzle reel
• Splatoon 3 segment and testfire announcement.
• Switch sports post-launch support, starting with golf, coming in July, more free updates will be announced soon.
• Final trailer starts with Mario waking up inside of a cave, he walks out of it and sees Delfino Plaza off in the distance. The title pops up as Super Mario Seabreeze, releasing this November.

• Treehouse is mainly Mario, Zelda, Xenoblade 3, and Splatoon 3 with brief segments on Bayonetta 3, Sports and the Mario Kart DLC.

It continues to amuse me that even with some stuff like the Capcom and Nvidia leak out there, nobody's been bold enough to really loop their contents into their "leaks".

No more bold statements about "RE Switch"? Or something that will more than likely hit the platform (even if it's not exclusive), like Rockman Taisen? Even Dusk Golem has made some interesting predictions about an Onimusha revival project for Switch, and that was only a week ago! C'mon, this stuff should be free!

Yea, even with all that we know and "know" for 2022, there is still plenty behind the curtain. I don't think we will get too much from that list announced at E3/June direct. There is already so much announced that will make an appearance and that doesn't include 3rd party stuff which will be talked about.

The Jan/Feb 2023 direct could be an all timer.....

I feel like 2 or 3 out of that list, plus something unexpected, have a shot.

Going by your list, I figure we get at least one, if not both Prime games mentioned. One of the Fire Emblem games is possible if it close to release.

I really want that 3D game though!

This missed announcement of announcing Direct in advance might be the biggest insult by a major gaming company in the past decade. I literally screamed "FUCK YOU" at my screen. I knew it wasn't set in stone that they would announce a Direct in advance when there is no E3 but the hype they created made me think they were just going to surprise us with it anyway. Absolutely unacceptable to do this to us. Once they knew Direct announcement in advance was expected, they should've just done it.

I for one am still seething they do not announce Twitter posts in advance and we are left at the mercy of dataminers and cryptic clout chasers.

I do hope we get more detailed info from @Emily about the new FE before the direct drops, easily my most anticipated game right now, its been too long since a new FE game

the 2017 reveal event. a contractor who helped put up booths leaked a bunch of the games during the setup on 4chan. we learned of Arms (he thought it was a platinum game) from that leak
Ah, I remember that! I thought you were talking about January of this year and was confused if I had missed some presentation 😅

I mean, I can see that

It was Halo for Switch.
ever since the DS, those pitches have been dropped. MS pls

Would be really funny if Nintendo went all out on an open world Mario Sunshine sequel.
A full fledged Bowser's Fury sequel set in Sunshine's world would be amazing honestly.

(Although a galaxy-themed one would be even greater)

i dont want a sunshine sequel im sorry. I dont think ''tropical here'' and ''tropical there'' is a good enough setting for a mario game. Wheres the diversity?

You could say the same about galaxy but space = better

No Buddy Mission come on!

How does Bowsers Fury influence a 3D DK game? I'm so confused. It's literally 3D World but open world.
It bums me out when someone makes a really long and thoughtful writeup, with low stakes and zero controversy, post it, and immediately remove it because someone nitpicks one sentence instead of engaging with them. I see this happen a lot

Thinking about buying Xbox Series S, for less than $300 and with Game Pass, looks like great deal.

It really is. I managed to get an Xbox and three years of Gamepass for $450 total and it is a hell of a deal.

Now I just need Starfield to release...

Thinking about Midnight Suns again. Would be a perfect fit for the Direct. Life is Strange Remastered too.
We need some DC in Direct too. That rumored Batman Arkham games should be at the next Direct, been a while since it was leaked.
