love to see people misappropriating speculation to insiders and hurting their image

x had a good track record with leaks so let’s take their speculation as fact and run it to press!

Finally found a good frying pan that doesn't get gross stuff stuck to it after you deep-ish fry chicken in it.

It's called a brand new $30 pan. Might need to get a new one every few years now.

The Sims all day every day
Sims is the only EA franchise full of DLC I can’t hate , I grew up playing Sims 2/3 with my older cousin and my sister , so as a series it has a high nostalgia factor to me even if I havent played Sims 4 in years, my sister still does though.

Reggie tried to cancel Donkey Konga. Good to see he and his hubris was overruled on that occassion.

”I thought it would damage the Donkey Kong brand.”

oh yeah Reggie well if we had it your way you would have damaged Christmas 2004 for me.

The problem with The Sims right now is that getting all the DLC costs about the same as buying a new console.

tbh he's not entirely wrong, I'm convinced one of the biggest reasons DK has suffered as a brand after the Rare era was the lack of a strong footing during the GCN era. As in, it was reduced to weirdo bongo controls/peg climbing spin-offs. It felt like the series was kinda lacking in identity after Rare left.

Jungle Beat was the only "mainline" platformer of that era, but it was also radically different (once again, bongo controls) from what came before and didn't really fly off shelves, even though it has a cult following.

reggie is in that classic memoir press phase where he's sharing every time he's been right while presumably withholding every time he's been wrong

You know what I really miss?

The Wiimote pointer.

Like seriously, aiming with it in games like Metroid Prime 3, Sin & Punishment Star Successor, RE4, etc was just so damn smooth, fast, intuitive and enjoyable. For me it was as much of a game-changer as the actual gyroscopic motion controls.

While I am so glad that gyro aiming lives through the Switch, man I would love to see the pointer somehow return with Nintendo's next system. Surely with the benefits of modern technology they could find a way to integrate it.

Oh well, I can dream haha

okay, but hear me out…

Peach is not Mario’s wife. she’s Mario’s head of state.

that mustachioed piece of shit gets state-sanctioned carte blanche to slaughter his way through lands both foreign and domestic, and he fucking lives for it — of course says “wahoo!”

look at his stupid little face. that’s fucking ecstasy. we’re talkin’ unbridled. fucking. joy. he’s off making blood pancakes outta diverse and allied cultures while the mushroom ethnostate makes bank.

and for who, exactly? a lone monarch, a bloodthirsty killer, and a vacuum enthusiast? who are these fuckin’ alien aristocrats?? sure as fuck doesn’t look like a government of the people, by the people, for the people.

but yeah, tweet refuted, that’s the spine-chilling “wahoo” of the darkness of man coursing unfettered through the boot of the crown

I'm heated about EA killing Westwood. C+C was good back in the day, man. So good.

And as someone else said, making Sim City 5 an always-online shitpit of a game and then killing Maxis is damn near unforgivable.

EA Vancouver does as good a job as they can iterating on FIFA every year while using an engine that kinda sucks for a game like FIFA, but otherwise, EA can go straight to the bushes.

Sony offing Japan Studio is pretty bad, but as a person who prefers Western games, EA is on a whole other level.

come to think of it, this mother fucker won’t even give his poor victims respite in death. he kills their fucking ghosts. then finds their skeletons and kills them. no rest for their bodies or souls. fucking terrifying.

Just got out of Doctor Strange 2. Didn't like it.

The writing and pacing were really bad. Like the worst out of any Marvel Studios production other than maybe What If. It doesn't focus on Strange nearly enough. Scarlet Witch is great and her performance is amazing, but it should have been in a Scarlet Witch movie. Not a Strange movie. The Strange stuff that's in the movie is actually really good, but then they almost constantly cut away to Scarlet Witch and I'm left wishing for more. I'm really getting tired of Marvel forcing every movie to have a crossover now, that's why the TV shows are a breath of fresh air (even though there's team ups there they feel earned, instead of it feeling shoehorned in like it is here).

It's not all bad. The performances are amazing all around, and some of the darker aspects are really cool. The action is solid as well.

5/10.

I can't believe Daisy actually missed the cut in Strikers. lmao

Watch her be like the first post launch character that you have to play online a certain amount of time to earn or whatever dumb GAAS stuff Nintendo does here.

oh I mean for sure, yes all the weird gba and gc games DK got was definitely not as good as getting Donkey Kong Racing, or another cool platformer like we should have gotten.

But not localizing/releasing the games from that era outside of Japan wouldn‘t have magically made better games exist. Like especially in late GC life cycle, we weren’t exactly swimming in software. I’d prefer to play Konga and Jungle Beat over nothing lol.

I have nightmares about the Sensor Bar and its piddly little cable.

luigi fucking knows

why do you think he’s so scared all the time

Math is ruining my game development experience.

I want armor to give a blanket damage reduction* such that the damage never reaches zero, but still have it noticeably reduce damage both at high levels and low levels. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to express that mathematically.

*Except for electrical damage, that works inversely to armor!

Me, a gamer of 𝓪 𝓬𝓮𝓻𝓽𝓪𝓲𝓷 𝓰𝓮𝓷𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 :
  • Characters who were primary antagonists so far are defeated in a huge setpiece battle
  • The story is now radically different
  • Most of the world from the first half of the game is blocked off
  • The title screen has changed
. . .
Is Path C actually a Disc 2??

Patch C is a direct continuation of Paths A and B. It's not an alternative viewpoint.

Those DK games were bizarre. I cant really blame Reggie on this. Like, Jungle Beat is an ugly DK game, why did Nintendo think a realistic artstyle was going to work with it.

Yeah I get that, I was commenting on how the bulleted points resemble the common differences between Disc 1 and Disc 2 of some old PS1-era RPGs, is all. 😅
