...well, at least there's always the M&R sequel.

Actually, I wouldn't mind playing WW again, but I'd prefer a new entry in the midst of the holiday season rather than a bunch of remasters/ports, unless there is a deep-cut type of port that I'd never expect (F-Zero Collection, Wario Land Collection, etc.).

Nintendo is so secretive, though, that I'm sure they have something all-new ready for the holidays. Hopefully, it's also in a series that I'm interested in.

Post-CRA, there was a very focused backlash on race starting with Nixon all the way through Bush Sr. A lot of gains were lost and are still being clawed back.

You will see the same thing this decade. It's happened post-Civil War, post-CRA, and now post-first black president (in the latter's case, on all fronts rather than just focused on race).

This may not make you feel better, but it's history repeating and all we have to focus on is fighting, like always. From discomfort comes struggle comes positive change and progress.
 
Twilight Princess gets ported to almost every console in existence while Xenoblade X is still stuck on the Wii U for the foreseeable future smh

My lab is 13 and he has pretty bad back pain. We give him previcox and it's helped him tremendously. He can get a full nights sleep now and it's easier for him to get around normally. Hopefully this will help your pup as well.

Oh man you have no idea how good this is to hear! My guy is almost 14 and the vet basically just told us he has arthritis everywhere and is in constant pain.

We're gonna give this stuff a week and if we don't notice any changes make the decision. Hopefully it works as well for him as it did for your fella!

I just finished the main story in Brilliant Diamond, so I’m gonna reset my save data in Legends soon (I didn’t get far before.) Still seems like there’s a lot to do in BD though. Gotta wait till Friday to get Driftloon so I can get the NatDex.

Look at the movies he's been doing post-Potter, and realize those are the kinds of parts he wants to do. Compare them to HP, and yeah I'd say there's a good chance he was bored during that series. 🤣

Bought Resident Evil 4 for the third time – this time on Switch – and replaying it. Still one of the finest games ever made. So overall, it was a good day

I really enjoyed generation 4 back in the day, but likely won't get around to it on Switch. Legends I've enjoyed, though my engagement with it has been light due to illness (just blasting through the essentials with a few side quests tacked on).

Fantastic news. Hoping against hope my Xbox Series S hasn't been completely lost by DHL; returning to Mass Effect for the first time in years would lift my mood, I think.

I still need to set up a Daily Check-In thread for things like this, I think; hopefully the health picture settles down.

I had never played Gen 4 before, so it was a mostly fresh experience, apart from the formulaic stuff (other gens I’ve played are 1, 3, 6, 7, and 8.)

Loaded up my computer for the first time in forever. Gotten a headache after a while but worth it to enjoy Skyrim with mods for a while. I'm reminded why I stopped playing it though. Some of the mods broke other parts of my game

I either have to disable everything and isolate the cause or start fresh in special edition

I still play on the 2011 PC version on Skyrim

Good thing I keep back up files of all my mods

The reason NA doesn't get vouchers anymore is pretty simple; it's been ahead of the curve on digital uptake of Nintendo games and is their primary sales region. It goes with Nintendo's core principal of a game being worth MSRP unless it bombs and to be thankful when it goes on sale by 15-20 percent!

Nintendo gets more money from 50$ vouchers (all the money goes to them) than 60$ retail games. The reason why Nintendo stopped proving vouchers in NA is because retailers (Wal-mart being the biggest one) undercutted voucher price, so in the end voucher lost the function of pushing for digital sales when in retail you could get it cheaper (making Nintendo less money). In Japan that hasnt happened so they keep pushing for vouchers to get as much digital sales as possible and in Europe it depends from country to country, but in most countries retailers are really strong and undercut each other heavily (I’m talking about 20-25% discounts before release) so with vouchers or without them the money per units sold would be reduced and at least with vouchers they can compete a bit versus retailers price wise.
 
I’m getting real close to buying one of the Let’s Go games. I want Mew in Brilliant Diamond and some of the other bonuses seem good too. I’m also assuming they’ll have some bonuses in S/V.

I'm finally giving Skyward Sword a go and this game went from being pretty damn cool in the first dungeon to really annoying very quickly in this volcano area lol. My patience in games is so much thinner lately.
 
Started feeling under the weather today so I think I’m curling up on the couch with Kirby tonight and taking it easy.

I know I've mentioned this before, but including the Wind Waker related games in a new Wind Waker release would be a legitimately good idea.

Also, bring back the Tingle Tuner, which was inexplicably removed from the version of the game on hardware that includes the ability to support it out of the box.

And including this content (the additional games, which might otherwise languish) would provide value for if the long-expected Wind Waker / Twilight Princess bundle, err, isn't a bundle.

I’m only an hour into Chrono Trigger but I already like it a lot. I like how fast battles are - the lack of a transition to a battle screen is huge, and the ATB system makes fights feel frenetic and engaging. Should I be using Shelters at basically every save point? It would be nice if save points just healed you automatically.

When Frog joined the party I knew I was going to love this game.
 





Wreckfest looks like it could be the next miracle port for the Switch given its a CPU intensive title that's 30fps even on PS4/Pro and Xbox One/X. Unless the footage is bogus it looks great for a port down as well.

Redout 2 has my interest; the first game had real potential but the execution was mixed and the Switch port was poor. Here's hoping they learn from their mistakes and do better with the sequel. It's encouraging to hear that they're focusing on making it more accessible than the first game.

Shelters aren't super necessary unless two or three of your team are down on HP/MP. There's an inn in every town that should give you full recovery, too, though I forget the cost difference of an inn stay vs buying a shelter.
