I’d like to know this, too. I don’t doubt that it’s real, but I’ve already showed it to a friend and they wanna know what the source is, lol. Always source your stuff, people! =p (I say, while knowing I fail to provide the source for stuff often enough myself, lol.)
 
I'm really excited for this course DLC. It's fun how the Smash Bros. DLC hype ended, which I liked to follow, and now Mario Kart 8 DX DLC hype has started soon after, which I'm probably even more hyped about. Love this series so much!

From twitter it seems to be a data mine of some sort but still no clear source

I've played through the tracks again and although I'm enjoying them quite a bit the lack of anti gravity stuff does stand out to me. Also the GBA course whatever it's called seems really short for some reason.
 
I thought it was apparent enough that it was something datamined from the game; whoops.

While we continue to wait, just want to say even if they weren’t there originally, I really appreciate the prominent Swoop on Choco Mountain’s icon. That enemy has such a great name.

I say something smart and reasonable, but then it'll hit 12 am EST, the DLC won't be up, and my mouth will start foaming! :O

Knocking on wood that doesn't happen, of course, and it's up in less than an hour's time! :D
 
I just played like 3 and a half hours or so of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with a friend and damn, this game is still as fucking fun as ever.

Gotta say it's weird to call Mario Kart "underappreciated" but this game being so old + it being casual enough to where it doesn't generate a ton of discussion online has made the title weirdly underappreciated at times in retrospect.

It really is one of the best games Nintendo has ever made, in my opinion. Yes, up there with the more acclaimed and revolutionary games the company has made. Idgaf about your accolades and innovations! Pure Mario Kart Gold is magic.

That's why I want this thread to be about both the DLC and all things MK8D. It's a fantastic game and I'd love a place to discuss it, organize games, all of that.

It's possible that these are the datamined original non-city Tour courses. There's a new Yoshi course and a few others. I wonder if this is how we get New Donk City in the game?

It's almost 1 am in Brazil and I still can't play my sweet new tracks :(

I'm playing online just to see if any of the tracks appear by accident lol

So Coconut Mall'a escalator changed on me when I was trying to drive up it. Went from first to fifth.

Is this what I get for saying that I didn't like Mario Kart Wii? Lol.

Cup one down. Coconut mall was my least fave of the bunch. They scaled things down a weird amount, got rid of the big globe, arches and third floor of the mall lol

It feels more “track” and less “track through a space”. Super Bell Highway nailed the feel of the original tho.
 
Jesus I did not expect to like the tour tracks this much

It’s like the best of both worlds of one lap and 3 lap tracks! They order the laps well to make the final one a big cinematic moment. Unless it’s random and I got lucky lol.
 
Snap judgement after my first play - I think Shroom Ridge might have been my favorite course to play? It's a more fun Toad's Turnpike. Weaving through tight traffic, making good drifts. It's a blast.

BRB, gonna play them again and see if my opinions change lol
