If "We don't talk about Bruno" doesn't show up in any capacity in this Direct I'm done.

I just only need ONE and ONLY ONE thing from this Direct...

PLZ Team Cherry... Make Silksong a real thing (release date, new update, shadow drop, something)...

Any other thing is additional and a plus, but I need Silksong... Plz... XD...

The video begins.

"Nintendo Direct" appears across the screen.

We cut to footage of a mushroom field that looks lavishly animated.

We see the hero himself, Mario, jump into sight.

He stands up, looking heroic and gazing towards the horizon.

He shouts his trademark, "Wahoo!"

He coughs and clears his throat.

Out comes Chris Pratt's voice saying, "Glad I got that out."

Super Mario Bros. In theaters this Christmas. See the full trailer during Super Bowl LVI.

According to Nate's speculation, it won't happen necessarily but he doesn't discount the possibility of new FE game for 2022 AND FE remake for 2023 announced back to back. That would be frankly insane.

Here's hoping!

If y'all could guarantee one new announcement/trailer/date reveal/etc. in the Direct, what would it be? This includes previously announced games that haven't been dated yet, heavily rumored, or pie in the sky hopes.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio being bought by Nintendo and turned into a Star Fox studio would be nice

You forgot the part where it cuts to dk trying to smoke a bannana like its weed then staring at the camera and giving his trademark seth rogen laugh.

The Zelda hype completely hit me and so I made my first TierList lol
I played all of them, but I have never finished the first one (I always arrive after the cemetery thing, the one where you have to go in the right direction n times in the cross road, and give up lol), the second one (...I tried a lot of time I promise) and Triforce Heroes.
I played (and finished) only once Four Swords Adventure and Four Swords. The others I have played and finished them multiple times.

Skyward Sword as a Masterpiece! God tier take.

Super Mario 3D Maker

Hoping Nate/MVG’s instincts are wrong about MP1 - I really want to see it; Weirdly more so than XC3 or FE. I think it’s because it’ll be the first Retro joint in ages, and it could be our first view into what we’re getting with MP4

Must. Needs. A. New. Pfp.

Yes, I'm using medieval English.

That's how desperate I am.

Yeah it's weird. I want to see what the graphics look like, but honestly not too keen on just getting Prime 1 overall. It's a weird scenario where I'm more interested in the game being announced than the game itself (even though I probably would buy it day one and have it be reaffirmed as one of my favorite games of all time lol).

Nintendo vs. Capcom, Darkstalkers 4 or F-Zero, in that order

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio being bought by Nintendo and turned into a Star Fox studio would be nice
Nintendo's latest acquisition: Kitsune Ga Gotoku Studio

Confirmed for March 2022.
Go big or go home.
CHOO CHOO they did it for 3D All Stars so why not?!
I don’t agree. They can easily do it now to start the marketing for the year with a trailer and title drop. It’s BotW 2. These games should get the wheels spinning prior to E3 with it coming this holiday.
Looks like my baseless optimism is becoming infectious 😏.

Maybe treehouse employees are so excited because StarTropics is finally getting a revival. Nintendo's "American" series.
Oh I talk about it all the time. It's one of my favorite NES games, I even love Zoda's Revenge.
I doubt it, but that would be an interesting turn of events. Let's suppose Nintendo were to try building its western branch; I could see Startropics being a decision if only for the symbolic value. And perhaps it would even be released more widely this time.
He's a fairly big Nintendo Youtuber who has a massive thing for StarTropics. He's perhaps the only person I've seen mention the games lol
I didn't realize they were quite that rare to mention or reference -- and, to be fair, I've been assuming this whole time that "StarTopic" is a reference to it --, especially as what could be seen as a western counterpart to 謎の村雨城, Nazo no Murasame Jō, where each stayed in their respective area.

Takamaru, of course, does seem to get a lot more attention overall, especially as Smash season rolls around.

But this dichotomy, this placing of StarTropics as Nintendo's quintessential American (to be a tad more specific than western) game, would be the source of the potential symbolism mentioned earlier. Questions would be who makes the revival project and what form it takes.

Like F-Zero by by NLG? But it is Jon who is saying it…
Which, on the subject of building up the western branches, F-Zero could be a prime candidate, though it has seemed for a long while to be a game that would be outsourced to a studio outside Nintendo umbrella; however, NLG might be able to pull off the proper fusion in styles. They haven't made shifting quite like this so far, but that didn't mean they couldn't pull it off.

Of course, NLG's renowned character animation work adds a bit more intrigue to the concept, as it could indicate an effort to bring characters somehow more to the forefront (which, really, might provide an audience connection to aid in popularity).
I think that NLG doing F-Zero is a neat idea. Might not seem like something where they'd be able to put a lot of their character animation talents to use, but there are ways to get around that.
Exactly. For an F-Zero rumor or musing, or even development, NLG is a really interesting choice.
Also, nice call out to X's particular aesthetic:
Any NLG-developed F-Zero needs to go back to X's American comic book-esque art style. I think NLG would really make it shine, especially in cutscenes.

(Tangential thought: an F-Zero Hyper Stylish Racing Action Game by Platinum Games would almost certainly include some iteration of Wonder Red)

When twitter algorithm delivers something nice.
Here's another tweet from someone doing video at Nintendo.

Associate Audio Video Producer
@Nintendo

I've had second thoughts highlighting these tweets, but since they did choose to make a public post i think it is fair game
but please use common sense and please don't harass these people for inside information

I wouldn’t assume much.

He, along with most NoA employees I’ve seen, tend to just post “we’ve been busy!” or similar for any major Direct
Either way, they probably already get those questions.

Don't ask them.

At best, they'll tell their family or something, not some rando on the Internet.

Pikmin 4, followed closely by 3D Mario.
