I love Super Mega Baseball 3 so much, I keep stats the game doesn't.

Damn, you really love that game. I enjoyed the first game on PS4 but never tried the sequels.

I’m probably not seeing the full picture.

But I don’t understand how Kickstarter is what is making you help create communication with the fans for game development. Or creating a community.

I feel like you can do that still without it. Especially in this day and age. Just seems like paying for a pass to hear some game development stuff. And what if your ideas help out in the end while being apart of those meetings, wouldn’t said person be able to get some kind of compensation. So weird.

But I admittinly didn’t read much into it. I saw Kickstarter and lost any interest after a few minutes of reading some posts. Feels like they should know the crypto controversy about them. Or maybe they didn’t, I did some just find out today.

And that’s Sega picross fully down. Now if only I could get past these final 3 Wario picross ultra puzzles. 25 by 20 is hell

Oh it's obviously getting you to pay to have any say in the game and the more money you fork over, the more of a say you get. Obviously Yacht could have just released a demo and opened up a forum for feedback but why do that when you can get people to pay you for the privilege.

How it feels like Pokemon Legends and these fucking Golducks won't leave you the fuck alone

Great timing, I literally have my Switch on the tv in our bedroom so my spouse can fall asleep to me running around Gormott at night.

If you were a true romantic, you would let you spouse fall asleep to these gentle tunes

I think she'd get too excited and start yelling

I used to like Joe Rogan only for the fun alien conspiracies he used to discuss. I always found those entertaining, but since Covid, he's been doing nothing but jumping on that lunacy. Seeing his descent has been incredibly sad, even before that somewhat too.

Hope you're doing well. Your latest podcast episodes have been fantastic!

Thanks. We'll be shifting back to Nintendo for the next few episodes.

Love going onto Youtube, seeing Nintendo recommendations and a video saying that Nintendo bought Capcom......

Garbage clickbait.
I know the creator you are referring to here. A simple title of "COULD Nintendo Be Buying Capcom?" would have been serviceable.

Yeah, I just saw the video thumbnail and the title.

At this point, I've stopped watching most Nintendo YouTubers.

Sucks that It’s just the nature of the YouTube being your job or decent source of income.

I’ve said it before but 99% of Nintendo youtubers are outright awful.

We better be careful. If Square gets wind of this, it could be their new MO with their demos. The more you pay, the more feedback options you get.

That’s exactly what I feel this is. Which is a shame.

Just comes off as slimy. I would totally get a “we made a Kickstarter to be able to offer some cool goodies like soundtrack, physical or posters” etc. that sounds more acceptable honestly.

But whatever. I’m not even a fan of their games. But was just curious what announcements they had.

Just want to give everyone a head's up. We're working on adding a new board for Famiboards.

On this new board, you can find and share deals and bargains on video games, electronics, movies, anime, comic books, etc. Basically, it's a board that helps you keep better track of bargains, deals and discounts. The main purpose is to help you save money on your expensive hobbies.
  • Nintendo eShop
  • Xbox
  • PlayStation
  • Steam
  • Amazon
  • Comixology
  • iTunes
  • Retail stores: Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Walmart, etc, etc.
  • And more!
A buy/sell/trade thread will also be pinned at the top of this new "Deals/Bargains" board. So if you want to sell/trade/buy video games with other Famiboard members, then that will be another option available to you.
Can the board be named after one of Tom Nook's stores? Like Nook's Cranny or Nook's Emporium.

Lying to your audience isn't a smart move for any creator. Blatant lying with a clickbait headline.
There’s a decent amount that don’t believe the stuff they say but knows it gets them views. The ones that know how to sell it is pretty obvious. There’s a decently popular one that even admit it

But doesn’t matter. As long as they’re just being Nintendo news and harmless. They can do what they like. At least the most talked about here ain’t doing some anti-vex type nonsense or attacking others. Make those Nintendo doom or “leaks” videos. Just nothing harmful is fine.

Infernax is exactly that.

And people should play Blossom Tales on Switch for a classic Zelda experience.
It hadn't come to mind, but, yeah, that is exactly what Infernax is billed as. It'll probably leave a stronger impression once I've managed to play it.

Blossom Tales and its upcoming sequel are also games I'm looking forward to trying once I actually get a Switch. I'm glad of the recommendation, of course; it speaks well of the game.

Making a video called 'Nintendo is Buying Capcom for $5b" and it being a half-assed comedy skit is just poor content creation. It serves no purpose other than to piss off the audience. Either make it known it is comedy with a dumb thumbnail or headline, or don't bother with it. It's sole purpose is to get clicks due to the outlandish headline and bait & switch them with a video void of purpose.

By the way, I noticed that I once again did not win the $5 eShop raffle. Who do I contact about correcting this egregious error? Thanks in advance. #TeamJanuary 🙂

Speaking of YouTube it has been a wild week. First Gilva’s channel got hit with like 1k+ copyright strikes by Nintendo. Then there is this by the Pokémon show rights holder: Honestly surprised this wasn’t attempted before and should be seen by all.
Small 20k Pokémon anime YY gets hit with SLAPP suit by Pokémon parent company. Based in Japan and sent to YT the creator will have his channel terminated with no chance to defend themselves. Could spread to other parts of YT. And, is trying to raise awareness both to YT and to other communities, especially those who use JP products.
Much like we have entered a new age of gaming acquisitions so too have YT entered into uncharted territories.

Covid is one bad mofo.

Like a goddamn influenza rollercoaster. I don't want to know what it would have been with Delta or without vaccines.

What are the news here?

Why has Nintendo abandoned the Miiverse for the Switch ? It was one of the best thing about the WiiU, they could have made it even better.
Moderation was probably a nightmare even with the Wii U install base. I really miss it though.

Imagine having to be February 2nd. You're not a Nintendo Direct day, you're the day before financial results, and you're the day after February 1st, so all the excitement about it now being February has dissipated.

Pathetic

Groundhog Day though…

Well you can see Feb 2nd as the day where we're one day closer to either:

A) The Direct
B) Elden Ring launch
C) My birthday

Or all of that, in my case!

Imagine being 2/2/22 and being called pathetic, smh.

Deliberately provocative February 2nd takes aside, I'm listening to the Hyrule Symphony while I work, and I live for the day there's a version of Ocarina of Time with an instrumental and orchestrated soundtrack. Biggest oversight across the OOT/MM/WW/TP remasters, for me. Hopefully not an opportunity Nintendo miss when they inevitably get around to the next release of those games.

Suzuki dropping the hot news his glasses.

It's something that on our YouTube channel made us quite angry, we always try to encourage people to get into the videos, but never by lying or creating false expectations.

Then we have to deal with the comments that we are liars because we talk about rumours in the industry, people get angry with rumours and speculation in the gaming industry, but in other industries they don't take it so badly.

He’s a garbage clickbait Youtuber. You don’t expect any better. Garbage thumbnails. Garbage titles. Garbage garbage

It helps smaller creators who can engage with their (potential) buyers and fans of the game/genre. I'd argue that it does for game development what Patreon does for online creators, with the difference being the format (a finished product versus supporting ongoing work).

Then again, YCG is not a small creator. They have published games before, and this Kickstarter is basically a preorder campaign like the one Platinum launched with the Wonderful 101.
