News IndieWorld Showcase on 4/17 at 7am PT/16:00 CEST, roughly 20 minutes long

And Pseudoregalia.
I... hated 99% of what Pseudoregalia offered, from having 0 maps to no single way to track what you've done / completed / where you went, and the wall kick was extremely unintuitive and I had such a bad time with a 3D platformer. And I played StarShot Space Circus on N64.

I bought the game because of Nitro Rad's review and the only reason I didn't ask for a refund is because it cost 5 €.

Most recent update added a map, since you haven't refunded it, may be worth it to give it another shot.

Yeah, I saw it. Then I remembered that you need to kick a wall in order to jump out of it and much have a +999% perfect angle or else you miss your jump.

The timing of this makes me wonder if the "Triple-i Direct" was synched with Nintendo in some way? Nintendo's indie showcases usually mostly focus on new indie IPs (often from small little-known developers) releasing fairly soon, while the Triple-i Direct mostly was about sequels and DLCs to already-successful indie IPs.

About a month or two ago Thunderful said that Headhunter has been 'put on hold', so I wouldn't go in expecting to hear about it
woof, sounds like they made the same chaotic 2020s tech move that everyone else did and bought a ton of stuff without being certain why

never assume a cashline goes up forever, especially not in a plague

This is a really small detail, but I was looking back at the announcement posts for the past Indie World's and this one was phrased slightly different.

The one for today

Previous ones (Not in any specific order)

This is the first time they have specified that it'll feature Indie games from a specific year. It's nothing big but who knows if this does mean something for tomorrow!!

Wow the same schedule for directs nintendo has always followed happened?!? Shocker. Was kinda surprised people doubted this month for an indie

But yeah that xbox page makes the time for silksong nigh… but I hope for that cute little kitty game to get a date too :(

Few games I expect to receive Switch version here:

Slime Rancher 2
Teardown
Rollerdrome
Viewfinder
ULTROS
Eternights
Amid Evil
En Garde
The Gunk
Dune Spice Wars

Parkitect and Silksong. That's all I want. Please.

Well also Until Then but I highly doubt that's coming to Switch.

Yeah I also want Parkitect. Doesn't look as demanding as frontier's Planet games so it might run on Switch pretty fine. Parkasaurus got shadow dropped on Indie World, Parkitect also deserves the same honor.

I’m guessing not the time, but I’d love if Momodora showed up. Can’t watch it live, but I’m down for whatever. As long as there is a game or two that looks interesting to me, I’ll walk away happy.

For a exclusivity-deal game like Ultros, I don't think it can be marketed for other platforms until the exclusivity deal period has ended. And that period is certainly longer than 2 months.

Just means switch 2 2025

Here's a thought: what if the big thing at this Indie World is an indie dev taking on a Nintendo IP a la Cadence of Hyrule?

Ooh, how fun!

Normally I’m not into Indie Worlds, but now that I have a Steam Deck, I see them as showcases for games that I’ve never heard of but are probably already on Steam. haha
I`m sure this discussion has been had, but as someone that is changing between multiple semi-crowded trains on a daily basis:

Still nothing can beat the portability of Lite as my most used system and then coming home and being able to play the games on Oled.

Notably a lot of indie games end up only going up on the nintendo dot com e -shop at first and don't get put on the Switch e-shop until much later.
Probably just a ton of 'Retro inspired' games. IMO if you're gonna do a 'retro inspired' game, at least add a retro filter (crt filter) into the mix.

that makes me wonder if the eventual Switch 2 launch will have any effect on Pyoro(assuming they are still around by then), presumably there will be quite a few changes to the e-shop(at least I would hope there would be to help speed it up and add other functionality to it etc)

Love this straight forward honesty: nah, not my field of knowledge.

Not trying for clout, not searching for info to have to contribute.

______

I'm hoping for 1 or 2 announcements to my taste. Do close to the last indie event that wasn't for me, this could be interesting...or boring if it's many of the same ones.

Wondering if we might see that one Game Freak project here that was trademarked a while back.

I think Little Town Hero debuted in an Indie World as well. Not sure, though.

it's very refreshing. pretty much all the other insiders / leakers would just spin it in a way to imply that they do know something, but don't want to or can't share.

I think Little Town Hero debuted in a regular Direct. Cadence of Hyrule is the only Nintendo game I remember ever showing up at these presentations.

I'm still feeling good about my guess about a new indie-Ninty collab. It's about damn time.

I don‘t expect much, the last 3-4 Indie Worlds weren‘t really interesting for me.

According to the reveal trailer for Town (Working Title) it was revealed in a Nintendo Direct on the 13th of September.

They showed like 10 frames of some pixel horror game last time, I hope that one gets more info

That clears it up, then — thanks!

Also, you're absolutely right, meatbag. It is time. Triforce Tactics, here we go!

Does that mean there’s games on Nintendo eShop won’t be found on Switch eShop? I always thought they’re the same (1:1). Do we have current example I can see for myself? Owned Switch since launch, bought from both Nintendo and Switch eShop and never knew or noticed this

I think what they mean is that webpages go up but aren't generally accessible well in advance of them being put on the eshop when they're actually released and downloadable.
