News IndieWorld Showcase on 4/17 at 7am PT/16:00 CEST, roughly 20 minutes long

I am going to sigh at the way people dismiss every non-silksong game like they always do
This one will actually be just silksong. In fact the whole Hollow Knight branding will be changed to silksong. There will be Silksong, Silksong 2, Silksong RPG, Silksong FPS, Silksong Battle Royale, Silksong Sports and Silksong the farming sim.
The last one will make people sigh at the whole direct.

Pikselnesia has been more active recently, so hopefully more info on Afterlove EP will show up!

If roguelikes didn't appeal to Switch users, why are so many still releasing?

It just feels you're projecting your own opinions onto millions of people...
Roguelites are good. Just some variety would be nice. Instead of all top down ones. Hopefully not too many simulation games either.

Just something. I mean Penny's Big Breakaway, Pepper Grinder and Another Crab's Treasure in the last one were great.

Sweet. Had a feeling we’d get something this week or next since we’re between major releases. Looking forward to this one and hoping the HK community finally get the closure they’ve been longing for.

Uh, wasn't the rumor that indie world would happen in April and then a general direct? Is Brazil sure he wasn't just backing out too soon? This is one part of the puzzle happening.
I thought it was March Indie and then April General. Regardless, it all could have been pushed back a month I guess. Though at that point there isn't much difference between doing one in May or just waiting for the usual June Direct slot.

BRASIL STAYS WINNING

Trust the process?
Trust the Process.

Is this the promised April direct?
No, it’s the “Indie Showcase before General Direct”

He thought we were getting an April General Direct, so the Indie would be in March.

But it never happened, so he disregarded the Indie Showcase and said that the General could very well be late May/early June

This COULD mean that we can still get a late April Direct (a month before TTYD’s release), or the Direct could still be on late May/early June to lay out H2 releases

Isn't it curious pyoro said nothing so far?

I'm glad though. Don't want any spoilers.
Maybe he doesn’t care about indies.

But please, let’s not go back to the “hIs wiNGs hAvE bEEn clipped”

@Brazil on point, as always

personally my view on this has changed a bit. i used to think it sucks that people just tune into these and spam silksong in the chat, but now i think it's probably a positive that so many people watch them thinking there might be silksong news but then end up being introduced to other cool indie games they never would have seen otherwise.

The info I had (and I believe I relayed it as such back in February) was that we'd get an Indie World before the Direct - "probably in March", but not for sure.

I'm honestly surprised. All the hubbub died down in a way that really made it seem like these shows weren't going down anymore.

Even I did!
Now would be a good time to leak a Metroid Prime 4 Direct. Just drop it on famiboards and then delete your message claiming it was a mistake, no one will know.

Well except everyone but that's a small detail.

Yeah, glass half full. It's a celebration. People are excited.

Besides The Plucky Squire, I'll also gladly take some Mina the Hollower news. So get to it, Nintendo.

AntonBlast would also be a cool sight, since Wario Land is forgotten tied up in a closet somewhere.

So around the web theres talk that this Indie Showcase is a bit different:

  • Livestream instead of premiere (the latter being a pre-uploaded video)
  • Airing worldwide simultaneously

Assuming this stuff isn't normal for Indie Showcases, this might have a big think ... so maybe really Silksong.

probably a high chance that the Nintendo direct will be in May instead of April.

  • Pizza tower
  • Silksong
Would be the two big Indie games, that i can think of being showcased.
Like i wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo has some marketing exclusivity with Silksong, since it was announced first on the switch and even had a tree house special.

I can’t say for sure about the airing times in different regions but I’m 95% certain Indie Worlds are always regular livestreams, just like non-mini Directs

I know there's a snowball's chance in hell of it happening, but I need a Lunacid port announcement.

I need it!

I doubt, Silksong marketing appears to be with Xbox.

I want Lovely Planet, its DLC and Lovely Planet: April Skies honestly.

It was shown off in a Nindies presentation and demoed first on Wii U, and it left me enthralled.

My biggest problem with the series is just that it's really, really difficult for me lol, but I think gyro aiming would help a lot.

Maybe Hades 2 will reappear after 500 years.

Streets of Rogue 2 getting a release date would be nice, but I imagine its unlikely given they recently appeared at the III initative.

How collectively would the internet lose its shit if Pyoro tweeted a picture of a cherry

haven't all indie world been livestreams?

Holy shit.

Did anyone see this coming?
yeah lmao

April is a great month to target for these, there's a precedent

everyone's trying to play 4D chess – losing the 2D forest for the 4D trees

this is almost exactly what I thought was going to happen tbh, not that it matters

I don’t have anything I’m particularly hoping for. Hope springs eternal for UFO 50 news. Beyond that I’d love to get more information about the ersatz MMBN project that Inti Creates recently announced, and with Umbraclaw coming next month it seems likely they’ll want to start talking about the next project in earnest.

Maybe Hades 2 will reappear after 500 years.
I’m not holding my breath since they delayed the early access period. I expect we’ll get news later this year but not via a Nintendo event.

It would be cool if they had a surprise port of Pyre finally though.

These are always great. There's been some Silksong smoke recently, but regardless of whether it shows up, I know there will be a lot to get excited about.

@ziggyrivers he cared about Outer Wilds.
Outer Wilds is already out on Switch right? At least I have been playing it on Switch few months ago, lol.

A first official mention of Balatro DLC would be nice!
I would be down for that! Have Balatro ever been featured in a Nintendo showcase? (Mini, Indie, etc)?

Don't think they have, I'll be happy even if there is a brief period for the base Balatro game in this IndieWorld Direct!

this is it exactly, thank you

We're finally gonna see the big one...

What the Car!
