4G is the best one anywayThing is, it seems Persona 3 and 4 is 100% coming to Switch but for some reason no one knows anything about Persona 5 and I'm just preparing myself to be disappointed again once we find out it's skipping the platform lol.
Okay thanks. It could very well be spin offs or just the PSP PS Vita games then.
Jeff Grubb said that he thinks some kind of mini direct focused on first party games in July is likely, but that was more based on what release dates and stuff he knows needs to be announced rather than him actually having knowledge of another direct.I've seen it mentioned several times today on this site but where are the rumors of a July first party games only direct coming from? Anything from someone reliable or is it just wishful thinking?
But I won't be able to play it until freaking 2023 lol.4G is the best one anyway
huhNate talking about giving Astral Chain to Monolith Soft is wild.
In one part it fits, we have heard both rumors of Monolith Soft working on an action game and employees talk about wanting to make one. On the other hand it seems something that would make no sense Astral Chain was N X PG the game plus ‘stealing’ series and giving to other devs isnt something Nintendo does if the original developers still want to make the game. Maybe Nintendo wants to poach Taura and his team and give them a job in Monolith?Nate talking about giving Astral Chain to Monolith Soft is wild.
Just speculation, I think.I'm sorry, what
this poster gets it.Persona 2: Innocent Sin & Eternal Punishment PSP port/localization would be hype though!
Good things come to those who waitBut I won't be able to play it until freaking 2023 lol.
I actually wouldn’t be surprised if they threw it in there, for some reasonI love GVG, and I've been listening to Derrick for years, but why the heck did he show up to their Partner Showcase predictions saying the Mario Kart DLC could be here?! Are we all just that desperate to finally get more courses? (I know I am)
Maybe as support from the team that also works on Splatoon and Animal Crossing, but Monolith's core teams are crucial to much more important Nintendo series than Astral Chain, I doubt Nintendo would take resources away from Xenoblade or Zelda just for the sake of keeping Astral Chain alive.Nate mentions on his podcast today that maybe Nintendo gives Astral chain to Monolith after xenoblade 3. Probably just speculation but who knows.
Not trying to say he’s an insider just curious what’s everybody’s read on this.
Thoughts @NateDrake? With Grubb just corroborating Metroid Prime is coming this year, Bayonetta 3 and Mario Rabbids having yet to be shown, and the high potential of Fire Emblem, this just doesn’t seem like the right conclusion. They could have all made for a good showcase combined with third parties.

Nier Automata is coming to the Nintendo Switch... in the next update for SNES NSO!Just listened to Nate's podcast.
Now I want Nier Automata for the SNES.
SE found a way around Sony's exclusivity ClauseNier Automata is coming to the Nintendo Switch... in the next update for SNES NSO!
Monolith has been dying to make a new IP. There was an interview recently where they joked about how nothing they pitch gets greenlighted unless Xeno is attached.
With that in mind, putting Monolith on an IP that was the brain child of a third party developer seems.... Odd.
something for the direct?

I don't know the full context of the what and the how, but sure in a bubble monolith working on Astral Chain sounds cool.At the same time, if they offer it and Monolith likes it, I’m all in. Monolith could do wonders with that franchise.
something for the direct?
We always want remakes, but we never stopped to think how we should be wanting demakes. And SE already gave us this in DQ11, so we should have been beating the drum for every square property after that point.Just listened to Nate's podcast.
Now I want Nier Automata for the SNES.
yummmmm breadcrumbs
We just got the esteemed classic Rival Turf! What more can you ask for?Nier Automata is coming to the Nintendo Switch... in the next update for SNES NSO!

"From our partners at checks notes Nintendo EPD, we bring you the next wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8"I actually wouldn’t be surprised if they threw it in there, for some reason
Yeah!baitI took a few hours off. How we feeling, good?
Click "Yeah!" if you feel good.
This is true. New Pokemon, Splatoon 3, exclusive Mario + Rabbids - that's a heavy hitting line-up. The narrative that Dring is tapping into comes from Zelda being the Online Hype Machine (and sure, the new one will be an enormous hit). All that being said...This reasoning sounds like it comes from someone who has no memory of any previous Nintendo E3 Directs. Breath of the Wild 2 was the closure for last year and that obviously wasn't coming out in Q4 2021. You can make an argument that Metroid Dread was the big Q4 game but that's not a major seller on the levels other big Nintendo franchises.
With a brand new Pokemon coming out in November and with Splatoon 3 still the deck, Nintendo's end of the year lineup is arguably bigger than it was last years, definitely at least from a sales standpoint.
