The second version is a Tour original variant, correct?Looks like Kalimari Desert is incorporating both versions, neat.
I'm pretty sure they're the sameI always thought this was the likely outcome. It’s the same song :/
Edit: Listening myself no it sounds different actually. The start is more jazzy.
Today is opposite day?Mushroom Gorge is a top tier track and I'm very happy to see it.
Waluigi Pinball is a bottom tier track and I'm very sad to see it.
Agreed, while I don’t want to see a bunch of SNES tracks (seems we are getting only one more anyways), I would be a bit sad not to have any classic SNES courses in 8DX, I’m actually glad to have it in the gameMario Circuit 3 is one of those tracks that on paper seems like an uninteresting, low effort filler course. When playing it MKWii (and I imagine MK8D) it's an absolutely incredible track since it's short, has tons of opportunities for cutting corners and laying traps, and is generally a fairly exciting race whenever it comes up.
it's a totally new arrangement, though it's very close. instrumentation is differentIs Mushroom Gorge even a remix? Really hard to tell the difference for me personally
Yeah, Shroom Ridge for example is a top 3 MK8 track, and it doesn't look it initially.Mario Circuit 3 is one of those tracks that on paper seems like an uninteresting, low effort filler course. I just can’t imagine only 2 3DS and 0 more N64It’s really strange that Ninja Hideaway is still being advertised as a Tour track on the website. Wonder if that actually was an error, but we’re still getting a “new” track each wave regardless.
Would free up a couple more slots for N64/3DS tracks.
Thanks!! I know I certainly willI’ve been done with the game for a while. Nothing new would make me jump back in. Definitely just going to wait on whatever and whenever a true successor is released. For those that are jumping in I hope you have a great time with the new content.
I don't think it's that deep, they're going by when the track debuted. It’s really strange that Ninja Hideaway is still being advertised as a Tour track on the website. Wonder if that actually was an error, but we’re still getting a “new” track each wave regardless.

Except that Ninja Hideaway isn’t labeled in the game. We know for sure now that the labeling is intentional on the website, but it still contradicts with the game itself.I don't think it's that deep, they're going by when the track debuted.
Oh yeah...could just be for casuals that don't know anything about Tour but feel they are getting a brand new track.Except that Ninja Hideaway isn’t labeled in the game. We know for sure now that the labeling is intentional on the website, but it still contradicts with the game itself.
It is from tour, I don't see the problem. But for the game itself, they obviously prefer to group all the original themes together instead of quibbling about whether they appeared in one game a year (or 5 days) before another.Except that Ninja Hideaway isn’t labeled in the game. We know for sure now that the labeling is intentional on the website, but it still contradicts with the game itself.
I’m sticking with not having a label for Ninja Hideaway is fully intentional. Basically anything that isn’t a real world city won’t have a label regardless if it bothers people who know it first appeared in Tour.Oh yeah...could just be for casuals that don't know anything about Tour but feel they are getting a brand new track.
Maybe this will be fixed once and for all next week in the update.
It has a giant “New” sticker in the trailer. It’s happening! That last course is entirely new isn't it? So we may get a few original ones too
That does make the most sense, I'm not sure why I didn't even think that during Wave 1 lol.I’m sticking with not having a label for Ninja Hideaway is fully intentional. Basically anything that isn’t a real world city won’t have a label regardless if it bothers people who know it first appeared in Tour.
Yeah there are seemingly going to be 5 more, plus Merry Mountain. That last course is entirely new isn't it? So we may get a few original ones too
It doesn't look like it does, I think it was pulled straight from tour with no major modifications.Really hope the Waluigi Pinball stage has some anti-gravity. I was excited to see this stage in HD, as it's one of my favourites in the entire series, but anti-gravity would elevate it to a tier of its own. It also makes sense because the karts would become "bouncing pinballs".
Here is hoping i also think the quality of these tracks look much higherYeah there are seemingly going to be 5 more, plus Merry Mountain.
I had that impression, too, upon first watch, but I remain hopeful. If not, I'll still enjoy the track, but I'm a big fan of the anti-gravity.It doesn't look like it does, I think it was pulled straight from tour with no major modifications.
They definitely look far better imo. Less like they were tour direct ports.I don't know if it's just me, but the retro tracks look a bit higher quality than what we have in round 1. Might just be me to be fair.
faithful but definitely amped upIs Mushroom Gorge even a remix? Really hard to tell the difference for me personally
Yeah it doesn't quite work.Very curious as to how Sydney Sprint gets flipped around, considering that we see characters racing both directions on the track. Wonder if the starting line got moved.
