As they did with ATI (although I repeat myself.)I don't think it would be a big logo or anything. one of those back-of-box logos with the licensing and whatnot. the green will help it stick out at least

with this and the mario wonder release date I guess they're trying really really hard to quell any "zamn, switch old!" op edsIs it just me or has the Nintendo Switch trailer disappeared?

Bro I so want this. I want Jensen to walk out like a PIMP in the big Nintendo event showcasing the next console and proceed to wax eloquent about Drake. How good would that be? Please be a true rumor.
Leak Express: Nvidia wants its name on Switch 2.The work of customizing the chip for the new Nintendo console was such and they are so proud of the result that they want to be part of the presentation of the console or even have the Nvidia brand appear on the box.
SUPER (NVIDIA) POWER
it's coming up on the seven year anniversary Friday, I think it's specifically SEO to try and give Wonder the day to itselfHOLY FUCKING SHIT.
THERE IS NO REASON IN THE WORLD TO DO THIS.
It still gets views, it still works as publicity, it's still an AWESOME trailer! They didn't take it down for the Lite or OLED Model reveal.
Is... Is this it?
Is it finally happening. Am I going to cry.
(Reposting what I said in the other thread)
This could just be due to song rights. Nothing too major, just coincidental timing.
There is 1 reason: Licensing. There is music in the trailer. A 7 year license for the music seems to make sense in this context.HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

It still is close enough for me to call it. The contract for this stuff almost certainly doesn't limit when Nintendo can take down the video, at least that wouldn't make much sense to me. I imagine it's a lot like paying bills. You do it before they're due, not on the final day you can pay. It's just better to be on top of that kind of thing. In this case it should have been taken down on Friday and not today
They’re right it’s probably just music. It’s close enough and I think Kit and Krista or someone at Nintendo, discussed this many years ago for why a YouTube video would be taken down.In this case it should have been taken down on Friday and not today
Typically licences for trailers uploaded like this are pretty flexible, and if that was the case, it would have been communicated to GameSpot. Basically, if it's licencing or copyright, it's likely that any official re-uploads would also be gone. There is 1 reason: Licensing. There is music in the trailer. According to the official ARM site, the A78C CPU is reported to support up to 60GB/s bandwidth - Would that be additional to the bandwidth numbers discussed here, or is it serving an entirely different purpose?
Nonsenseeverybody always says it's music licensing but it's like never music licensing
It's a real song, alright. Though, someone could reach out to White Denim directly and just... Ask if they had anything to do with this.I thought they just used stock music for the trailer lol

Also, the Switch was the first, and likely only Nintendo console with an off-the-shelf chip rather than a custom one. If Nvidia is planning to use this console to entice developers to get DLSS compatibility with PC ports, it makes total sense that Nintendo would want to give Nvidia that extra bit of advertising. It wouldn't be the first time by any means, if anything the LACK of Nvidia branding on ANY part of Nintendo Switch was the exception, not the rule.
Trailer removal happened because Microsoft bought that music
fixed thatMicrosoft Switch X/S
Same thoughts here, it really doesn't add up this time as some SEO related takedown. This doesn't seem to be matching with previous real patterns, especially considering the date we're currently in... Idk, I've been around all the times they happened, but this just seems strange.I'm not convinced by the "don't overshadow Wonder" idea at all. Why would they just NOW take it down after dozens of first party Nintendo Switch releases, several in October? I mean sure it has Mario Odyssey, but they didn't take it down for the release of Bowser's Fury. If it was SEO related, then surely it would have been taken down around the time of the Lite and/or OLED reveal, no? Wouldn't Nintendo WANT people to see the core ad for their platform? If they wanted a different video to be served, why didn't they take it down when they uploaded "Welcome to Nintendo Switch"?
Out of curiosity: back then, what was the time span between the original OLED trailer going dark and the S3 OLED announcement? They privatised the OLED and Lite trailers in 2022 for the announcement of the Splatoon 3 OLED model.
If I may, I will note that the Lite reveal disappeared around the time OLED was revealed, and the OLED reveal was privated briefly before revealing the Splatoon 3 special edition. Nintendo are no strangers to this type of SEO, this exact strategy. Previously, it was revisions getting trailers taken down for a trailer of a new revision or edition.Same thoughts here, it really doesn't add up this time as some SEO related takedown. I believe it was 1 day.Out of curiosity: back then, what was the time span between the original OLED trailer going dark and the S3 OLED announcement?
That might give us an idea of when to expect NG-related news!
I'm sorry, but this isn't true. As you said, the OLED Model trailer is back, and it was privated for SEO for the Splatoon 3 Special Edition, not due to rights issues. Furthermore, the Nintendo Switch reveal is, like the OLED Model trailer was, privated, and not removed, while mirrors, including those by significant publications, remain up with no licencing issues or georestrictions. If it was licencing related, then the videos would have been removed, not merely privated, they would have been removed from mirrors, or had mirrors copyright struck, and the OLED trailer wouldn't have COME BACK.The Switch video being made private is probably due to music licensing for Ha Ha Ha Ha (Yeah), which is the same reason the OLED trailer went private last year (although it seems to be back now?). It is amusing that the console lasted longer than the licensing for its iconic reveal trailer.
Nailed it. They literally just took down the reveal of the hardware in its entirely (or what's the same, the base hardware), this isn't something I recall happening before and you just confirmed my suspicions. If I may, I will note that the Lite reveal disappeared around the time OLED was revealed, and the OLED reveal was privated briefly before revealing the Splatoon 3 special edition. Nintendo are no strangers to this type of SEO, this exact strategy. Previously, it was revisions getting trailers taken down for a trailer of a new revision or edition.
Now. It's a CONSOLE reveal trailer being taken down, THE REVEAL. Which logically seems to indicate that if this is SEO, then it's SEO to favour a console reveal. Notably, the console reveal trailer was never taken down or privated prior to any reveal of a REVISION.
If we are to believe, or find any pattern. The pattern is clear.
They want a "First Look at [X]" trailer to show up instead of "First Look at Nintendo Switch".
It was the next day.Out of curiosity: back then, what was the time span between the original OLED trailer going dark and the S3 OLED announcement?

The OLED trailer absolutely could have come back if they decided to renew the rights.I'm sorry, but this isn't true. If so, it seems odd to reveal the console literally right before Wonder comes out. It definitely has enough legs to sell well despite that, but still, it seems weird that Nintendo would just drown the post-release buzz of of a game in one of their most lucrative franchises.I believe it was 1 day.

If the console is back compatible (99% chance) it will have no effects on Wonder salesIf so, it seems odd to reveal the console literally right before Wonder comes out. My thoughts exactly. They have no reason to announce it this close to wonder. I wanna get excited by this, but it means nothing. The video will probably be back up within the next few days.If so, it seems odd to reveal the console literally right before Wonder comes out. Crazy how we might get our answers right in tomorrow. After theorizing about this hardware for so long I think I'm getting shivers down my spine...I believe it was 1 day.
I daren't hope lest be burned again but warm remains the heart, unstill by winds speeds rising and sail slowly, eventually, fulfilled.Have faith guys, we are close to the reveal. A new era is about to begin
It's not about that, it's about the media. Why would they have these huge events right next to each other when they could space them out, getting media attention for longer. If the console is back compatible (99% chance) it will have no effects on Wonder sales
I severely doubt it would be tomorrow. I can see explanations for it, I can see justifications for it, but I think this day (Tuesday to be clear, since some of the world is in Wednesday right now.) next week could bear fruit. Emphasis on could.Crazy how we might get our answers right in tomorrow. After theorizing about this hardware for so long I think I'm getting shivers down my spine...
I mean, it's freaking Mario Wonder. If anything, it's gotten a pretty huge marketing push compared to most Switch games to be honest, they may be overcompensating for this upcoming W...If so, it seems odd to reveal the console literally right before Wonder comes out. It's not about saving money, it's just something that comes up and then they have to renew the rights or decide not to bother anymore. We already know that sometimes they don't bother, as some of the uploads of the Lite reveal video went private and never came back. Since the OLED is their most recent and popular model, they've kept that one up for a while. It's not about rights, it's about SEO, licensing rights is pocket money for them
I think you're misunderstanding how private videos work. "Unlisted" is the state where a video is visible if you have a link and can still be embedded/hotlinked. "Private" videos can't be watched at all (unless your specific YouTube account is invited to have access), and that's what happened with the OLED video. Any mirrors that stayed up would have been reuploads which Nintendo has no control over. Why would they:
Not renew the rights before it had to be taken down.
Private it, resulting in a situation where they'd still be in violation of copyright unless they had a specific carveout.
Renew the rights after the fact anyway.
That just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I dislike applications of Occam's Razer, but the simplest answer for the OLED Trailer is simply that they wanted the first result for "OLED Model" to be the Splatoon special edition for a couple weeks.
I can see why, yes. Going from the previous occurrence with the Splatoon OLED though, I have a feeling this mystery won't stay unresolved for long.I severely doubt it would be tomorrow. I can see explanations for it, I can see justifications for it, but I think this day (Tuesday to be clear, since some of the world is in Wednesday right now.) next week could bear fruit.
