Considering the sales FF games have got with re-releases and remasters it should count just to make it kinda fairDo rereleases on future generations count?asking for the FF7R trilogy
Yes! But if it’s sold as a physical trilogy compilation, it only counts as one overall sale for the trilogy, not three separate copies sold.Do rereleases on future generations count?asking for the FF7R trilogy
gotcha..... could be closer then but I'm still gonna say New Horizons.Yes! But if it’s sold as a physical trilogy compilation, it only counts as one overall sale for the trilogy, not three separate copies sold.
That's correct. I'm not even sure if every FFVII game ever outside of the original can match the original either.I think if you add up every FFVII game ever, it still won't match New Horizons.
Units CoD wins, revenue console game it should also (Pokemon used to be 30-40$) but if we count mobile games it gets quite muddy due to Pokemon GO (even if CoD mobile is really popular)If you want to make a battle of juggernauts, lets make…
Pokémon vs Call of Duty (units and revenue).
I think COD wins but has the advantage of a bigger installbase.
Old place already did this years ago, that’s how I got the idea. I’m just making it more hilarious by adding all the FF7Remakes together against ACNH.Thread would break the old place

this feels unnecessarily petty
I’m a massive fan of FF7R, don’t plan on ever touching New HorizonsI feel the same as IlikeFeet.
This kind of thread lead to warring. It's not the community we want to create and foster here
Yakuza 2 > 1 iirc but yes is really uncommon, it tends to happen with niche franchise breaking through or a change of arcs. How often does a sequel(if Rebirth can be considered that) sell more than the first or previous game, especially if they’re release only a few years from one another <4 years?
I completely checked out on the fan base reaction to this game, but anectdotally some of my friends were definitely turned off by the narrative diversions or the action-RPG mechanics. So totally agree the target audience for both games is going to be below the sales of the first installment.I know it's a joke thread, but FF7R parts 2/3 are unlikely to outsell the first game. Direct sequels tend to sell to the established audience of the first game. The established audience of the first game is... some number less than 100% of the people who bought it.
Can’t. Nuked the account. Anyone else is allowed to.OP I dare you to create this thread in r3s3t3r4 lol
