Starting a new page with a few completed challenges! First off, we have A Sweet Treat in Dark Times:

Was I expecting the Zelda CD-i tribute game to give me a Sapphic lead? No. Am I living for it? Yes. I'm already past the point of the voice acted cutscene, but the repeatable text dialogue from the endgame is unambiguous about the date, so either this or the cutscene counts for the badge, I'd say.

I was doing some research before the event, and I was excited to hear that Maki's voice actress, Sova Reign, is a queer black woman! Given that she also voices Ciclena in the game (and that scene is also very gay), it's cool to see that she got to put her queerness into Arzette. Props to Sova, our very own @Dopply, and the rest of the Arzette team!

And of course I had to do at least one Mario Kart one - here's Taste the Rainbow.

While it isn't a full game yet, I took some time to play the new demo for Kitsune Tails!

The official pitch is "a platformer styled after beloved classics steeped in Japanese mythology and diverse relationships," which is already good, but I much prefer developer Eniko Fox's nod: "gay furry weeb SMB3 with a gay love triangle as the plot focus and made by a team full of queer people". A legit Mario-like? And it's gay as hell? Okay, you have my attention.

There are aspects in the planned game that I can't comment on (namely, the elemental power ups don't really show up, at least not in the Hard Mode I played), but I enjoyed the demo! The play controls are on-point, the pixel art is lovely (especially with the developer-recommended CRT filter option enabled), and the writing sets up a good conflict (and is indeed gay as hell). Looking forward to the full game - and hey, it's also coming to Switch, so even if you're console only, you can still play it!

I reinstalled Hollow Knight to jog my memory and turns out I had gotten the Happy Couple achievement, completed the Grey Mourner's quest, reunited Cloth and Nola, and am not prepared to say goodbye to Bretta. So those badges are sadly out.

In an effort to console myself, I did a quick clear of the Spire of Order and replayed the Marina Agitando fight for
#47 Onward and Unconscience respectively.

Spoiler: Didn't get a good opportunity to showcase the repeat rescue of Marina except screenshotting the fade to white as the fight ends

Did a "quick" 16 Star run of Super Mario 64 to get a hold of So Long, Gay Bowser. We'll, short for my standards. I'm no speedrunner, so this was still over an hour long.

The only thing less straight than Gay Bowser is my aim. I'd consider myself decent at Super Mario 64, not an expert player but I've completed an alright number of 120 Star Runs. But I've always had trouble with the Bowser fights - it's like patting my head and rubbing my belly at the same time (or in this case, focusing on the right timing to press B and spinning the analog stick at the same time). Least I got to enjoy that wonderful credits music again!

Which hack did you turn on? I've tried beating it with just an extra life, and lost early, and when I turn on all hacks, I get to the end quite reliably, but the boss smokes me because I don't have enough chips to help me clear out the masses.

Just the extra life! I usually tend to only die because I get cocky, and then clear the floor afterwards no problem.

Comparing various Rainbow Roads across MK games was a lot of fun. And MK7's 150cc was pretty tough, to my surprise.

I've always had trouble with the Bowser fights - it's like patting my head and rubbing my belly at the same time (or in this case, focusing on the right timing to press B and spinning the analog stick at the same time).

Definitely can relate to this. I've been playing 64 almost annually since it came out, and it still gives me trouble.

I had never heard of A Year of Springs before, but after reading @Clov's write up about it I think I'm going to get it and go for the badge here! Short, heartwarming visual novels about LGBTQ gals sounds like exactly what I need right now :]

On imgbb, click 'about' after uploading a picture so that field changes to 'Embed codes'. You can copy the direct link into the 'insert media' field here (the small landscape picture) when writing a post , or you could just copy-paste the ones that say 'BBCode' directly into the body of the post.

(For reference, I'm on mobile, just in case the sites display differently on desktop)
Edit: you don't even have to do the first step on desktop, just open your MK album and you'll see the "<Embed code>" tab. Click on that, change 'Viewer links' to 'BBCode full linked' and copy-paste that.

Just noticed this yesterday! I always used twitter before, so I need to find a new way to share my pics... Had some time to get started tonight!

On Switch, there's an option to send to mobile by scanning a few QR codes that basically turn your Switch into a wifi hotspot and have your phone connect to it so it can grab the screenshots. It's kinda awkward but it works.

I think you can also just transfer the screenshots via a USB cable to PC or, if saved on the microSD, by just plugging that into the PC and copying directly.

If all else fails, there's always the good ol' simply taking a photo of the screen

I use imgur. No account needed, and I'll even give you the BBcode to embed the image itself directly into Fami so it doesn't appear in a little bordered alt window like twitter embeds (or sharing straight imgur links) does.
