Where's that guy who was predicting this months ago, well before the full release, and being very annoying about it? We all must offer our congratulations
 
There was no chance it wasn't winning when Sven hadn't gone up yet. He's got the armor and everything.

Tbh, I went from fully rooting for Zelda to rooting for this throughout the year. Partly because of my own emotional bullshit, but also because I gave BG3 a good chance after procrastinating on it for so damn long. Having done so, I can safely say that this deserved the win. It's an incredible game, and my personal GOTY.

Well I just finished the Dialga raid, so the real winner is actually me 😎

Bit of a weird show, good pre-show and first hour, then it got absolutely bogged down by bloat and uninteresting monochrome cinematic trailers. Then a banger MH annoucement right at the end.

I thought Spider Man was well loved. Didn’t get anything?
 
Little sad totk didn’t cause that could have made for some good salt from people who hate Nintendo games for no reason but oh well.

More sad that Resident Evil 4 didn’t win anything from what I can remember.
 
Someone messed up the Sound Mix of that Orchestral Performance. You couldn't even hear the Piano and most main Instruments were too quiet.
 
Glad Alan Wake 2 won a lot of awards, and I'm glad that the spread of awards was pretty good overall? Of course I'd probably give REmake 4 best action/adventure but you can't win them all
 
As every is getting pissed off or super happy, remember that Octopath 2 wasn’t even nominated for a single award! Not even soundtrack!!!!
 
It's a shame there's no 'technical achievement' award or anything because TOTK'S physics deserved more accolades. Maybe in a future show shoved between two mobile game ads.

this being such an unbelievably packed year made the reliance on rapid fire awards even more of a shame

it really didn't feel like a celebration of the year
