Amazon MX still can't tell me if I'm going to receive the game tomorrow or not. I'm already in the mindset to hunt down a copy tomorrow, thanks god I leave early at work all this week.
 
No word on if my £40 Jack Frost keyring + free game has shipped yet but I am hoping it'll be there for the weekend.

Probably going to romance prime minister Hayao Koshimizu.

50 minutes for aus I believe? Those NoE published regions might be able to hop to that region and download JP VO DLC beforehand.

I remember I did that with XC2.
 
I hope its gonna unlock at midnight then I might still be able to play 1 or 2 hours. After all the disappointments the past days this game really is gonna be the highlight of my week

i should have double checked my sources lmao. i was basically relying on the google curated answer when i typed in "smt5 release date" and it says the 11th. rip. oh well, guess ill just ... do something else with my time off haha.

Incredible ST, very informative!

I can't wait ugh I've been itchy to play SMT for weeks now but have been saving myself for this. This franchise is truly special.

My CE still hasn't shipped (I heard they were delayed), so I did the responsible thing and pre-ordered the digital version. 🤡

But seriously, I'm extremely excited and my bank apparently decided I've been good enough to have my credit card limit doubled so why not?
 
I was planning to wait until midnight for the digital release but if a store has physical early... I might be a fool and double dip.

Hope people enjoy the game, grabbing it probably next year if I don't get it for Christmas. Wanted to wait on some story guides.

I might actually stick with the English dub for my first playthrough. It is well done, and switching VO after a couple hours of progress feels weird, maybe? I dunno.

Hearing everyone getting their copies early makes me feel like I'm just sitting here watching everyone else open their presents on Christmas morning.

Amazon charged my card this morning, it still says arriving tomorrow. It hasn't shipped. I talked to Amazon Customer Service twice and both times they said the email saying it was delayed was bullshit (for me at least) and that it would get here tomorrow. This is a long ass 24 hours.

Well, see it this way, at least you can't "live" watch how "Santa" sent your gift in the opposite direction yesterday and now has to ship it back down to my region. ^^

Amazon.de dispatched my CE yesterday, and by tracking it arrived in Hannover (Germany) yesterday evening. That city is like 4 hours in the opposite direction of where i live. So today i have to read the tracking that it's being dispatched from Hannover and nothing since then.

It will no doubt come tomorrow on launch day, but if you ask me, either someone made one hell of a fuckup shipping this to Hannover, or did it on purpose to avoid that it's being delivered a day early. ;D

Doesnt have to bee. Logistics are a complicated thing, and it could be more efficient to send it to there where they know that a Truck is going your direction tomorrow then waiting there till they have enough for your direction.
there are a lot of conplex aspects to logistics, and im confused how good they work as is.

just take the „traveling salesman problem„ (problem des handlungsreisenden) and add a ton of variables and factors, and add the complexity that those change on a second by second basis.

I am curious, since I have checked it a long time ago, Amazon MX only gives me the option of buying the Steelbook Edition at this price and arriving at these dates:

Did you get it before? Wa it ever available in a normal edition and with a reasonable price and delivery date?

I used to stay up past 10pm to play for a little bit, but then I'm just tired for the next day. I'd rather wake up and enjoy the game without dozing off.

Yes, it was available just a couple of hours I think.

Damn, I would’ve bought it at that price if I knew and had the money for it. Since I choked it has been always more than 2000 pesos, I guess that Sega didn’t really care about distribution here.

What is EVEN WEIRDER is that they didn’t do regional pricing for the game. Most if not all of their games have regional pricing, I got SMT 3 Nocturne for 600 pesos (basically 30 USD for these do you not living here in Mexico) and a lot of their games are cheaper than the US.

I thought they published it in the USA but it seems that Nintendo is handling it here or something. Everywhere it says that SEGA is handling the publishing here in NA but it seems weird that they decided to not have regional pricing for this game. Maybe they want to get every single cent of this lol

Great OP! Never played an SMT game before (unless you count Tokyo Mirage Sessions), it really does look daunting with so much going on. But I love a jrpg and I'm so intrigued by the style of the game. I'm not sure if I'll get it tomorrow since Animal Crossing has a firm hold on me, but I do want to get the game by the end of the year for sure!
 
Amazing OP!

Sadly still waiting on Nintendo Store to ship my Fall of Man copy when they took payment over a week ago (been stuck in "processing" what feels like forever). Looks like it will be next week at this point now before I get it.
