So hear me out, this might sound weird but what if they made some kind of XX rank for the best players in the game, like the real cream of the crop. Wouldn't that be nice?
That's what the S+ ranks are for.

Do they specifically match on what level you're in?That's what the S+ ranks are for.
And for the truly great players we can have rank XXXSo hear me out, this might sound weird but what if they made some kind of XX rank for the best players in the game, like the real cream of the crop. Wouldn't that be nice?

...wait...
You got insulted here?Given that I just got transphobic slurs thrown at me, especially so soon after I posted a trans-positive post a few days ago, I'm going to test something.
I'm not trans. I'm genderfluid. If people are going to throw slurs at me, at least they can insult me right.
If this causes a change, this will be my last post in this OT.
Not here no. But after I made that trans positive post a few days later suddenly I get bombarded with anti-trans rhetoric on discords where I do Splatoon stuff. You got insulted here?

Machine feels unfair to fight against for most things in its range tbh. I've been playing Bamboozler (which already is notoriously meh) and whenever I see a Sloshing machine, I'm out. I need such a much higher skill level to beat a slosherMachine existing is straight up unfair for Rapid Blaster (most stats come from https://leanny.github.io/splat3/parameters.html and https://sendou.ink/ except for the ~approximates)
Even the radius of the blast/AoE isn't that much bigger for Rapid

Machine does that too and more than makes up for the smaller (still huge) blast radius with the aoe being active the entire time and shots falling past their effective range, it actually has a lot more options to deal with that kind of terrain10 more damage and the ability to hit around corners isn't an insignificant advantage. Sure, Sloshing Machine is great, but it's not a case where one weapon straight up invalidates another, like also exist in the game.
I feel like object damage is kinda weird in general. Is there any logic behind it being different per weapon?Machine does that too and more than makes up for the smaller (still huge) blast radius with the aoe being active the entire time and shots falling past their effective range, it actually has a lot more options to deal with that kind of terrain
The biggest offenders in the comparison are Rapid's jump rng and object damage, the rest can be justified but those two just don't make any sense
Bamboo initially had good object damage but then it was nerfed due to main power up increasing it (on top of OS), and they haven't reverted this change back even though MPU is gone lol. Snipewriter inherited the same nerfed multipliers for some reason (with lower base damage and fire rate so it's even worse)I feel like object damage is kinda weird in general. Is there any logic behind it being different per weapon?
Sometimes it's so painfully noticeable when object damage is shit. Like you're shooting up to 8 times with your Snipewriter or Bamboozler at a big bubblers weak point and then it just disappears because of timeout of the special

I meanEh, hitting around corners is different from hitting over walls. Even dealing with ledges the two weapons don't have the same properties. If I want to wipe out a tower population within the next couple of seconds, I'd rather be equipped with a Blaster than a Slosher, for example.
I mean
Not sure what you mean by "helpful surface at exactly the right spot to explode off", for Rapid spacing I intentionally just barely missed a couple of shots (e.g. 0:29) to show that the hitbox difference is not even that huge.I mean I see a bunch of impressive Sloshing Machine shots making use of the terrain, some of which wouldn't be possible without a helpful surface at exactly the right spot to explode off, and then putting in less effort to get the spacing right on the Rapid's air bursts.
I mean the ramp around 0:08, which I intially understood the explosion to bounce off of. But upon testing it myself, the slosh hitbox cuts through the corner instead of being cut off by it like regular fire would. I thought that had been fixed more than a few patches back. Not sure what you mean by "helpful surface at exactly the right spot to explode off", for Rapid spacing I intentionally just barely missed a couple of shots (e.g. 0:29) to show that the hitbox difference is not even that huge.
The first half is mostly there to show that it can do the same stuff Rapid does around corners (but also at Luna/Clash/Blaster/Range range, meaning it doesn't even need the strict spacing of blasters) and the latter half to show that it has more options on top of that which more than make up for the smaller hitbox
That's how Machine is designed, it's basically a Blaster but instead of the indirect hit activating when the shot ends it's active from beginning to end no matter what. It's why it's even better in Salmon Run where you can just aim slightly over a horde and the indirect will kill 10 chums in 1 shot (and from that same shot the direct lands 180 dmg on a Cohock)I mean the ramp around 0:08, which I intially understood the explosion to bounce off of. There's no argument sloshers have the advantage of hitting over walls.
Yeah, I don't see why @xaszatm would have to leave this OT because of transphobic remarks on discord. Just leave those discords in the dust and post your stuff here where they'll be more appreciated. Can I recommend leaving those discords? Like, outright.
Hard agree. I disliked it in 2, but it's so good in 3. The tweaks they did to the mode + my better understanding of it make it a much better experience, and the best mode in 3.Clam Blitz is stil the best Splatoon mode! The frantic back-and-forth switching between offence and defense it can offer simply puts it a step above the rest. Add to that it being easy to make comebacks and you've got a very hectic, but fun mode.
Especially TC and SZ feel quite sluggish compared to it, which isn't per se a bad thing, but it never gets as spicy as 2 equal Clam Blitz teams against each other.
Only struggle about it is that it takes some getting used to and not everyone knows the strats. Nintendo should put out a YouTube video detailing some of them! Such as superjumping to teammate in opposing base or not grabbing the free power clam.

Game also needs more more girly/feminine clothing, IMO. Adding banners is WAY easier, so I'm sure it's happening.Wow, I just went through the list of banners in the game, and compared it to the ones I own, and...
I'm missing TWO of the ones you roll randomly from red capsules or the catalog. I have all the other random roll ones.
Please add more Nintendo? They haven't added any since launch.

Wisdom, and I'm sure that would be the Shiver option tooif there were zelda splatfest in early may would you be team power, team wisdom, or team courage?
is there a common order for the three in zelda stuff? I'm sure they'd adhere to that despite the charactersWisdom, and I'm sure that would be the Shiver option too
AFAIK, drop rates haven't changed.ooof i was SO CLOSE to beating the Horrorboros some days ago but the time ran out just before my team managed to get all its HP...
At least I've FINALLY got some silver scales lately... did they increase the drop rate of those or did I just get lucky?
Power, Wisdom, Courage is usually the order used/mentioned in the games. Top, left and right triangles respectively, red, blue and green colors.is there a common order for the three in zelda stuff? I'm sure they'd adhere to that despite the characters
It really does suck how new seasons are often 70% returning gear yet they present it as all newSo many cool pieces of gear are still stuck in S2, I wish Nintendo wouldn't hold back on old content for so long
(just some examples)
You can't do Eggstra Work solo
People are replying "just use a pool," but I have not seen any names being posted/shared (and I don't use Discord, so I guess I'm out of the loop).
I've been using "HazCoFresh" for harder rotations where going freelance has a high probablity of dropping me out of VP before getting all rewards or even one win. The pool is associated with YouTube's most prolific - maybe only - Salmon Run focused content creator, and as it happens they put out their Eggstra Work pool name today:
"HazxtraWork"
Congratulations, you are now a leaker.if there were zelda splatfest in early may would you be team power, team wisdom, or team courage?
It’s true. They destroyed me after that trailer (though I was team “mid” more than bad). This is like resurrecting everyone to be on the side of good marketing though.pls stop, the marketing already won, you already killed all team "bad marketing" members, there's no need to piss on their graves too
